Nice older building guest house. Free parking in front of building not sure if there is enough spaces for one car per room. Good greeting on arrival and room was okay. Not modern decor but still okay.Shower in ensuite was small (I am not) and would not be able to bend over to retrive shampoo/soap. Wifi in room good. Lots of places to go and eat within a 10 minute walk. Choice of hot breakfast on arrival (so you don't have to order in the morning), but don't say you will provide grilled tomatoes and then serve baby tomatoes (not grilled). Service good

I stayed as dad was in hospital it was fantastic very small walk to hospital snd could leave the car so no parking at hospital room was good so all in all great.

The room was clean. There was only one very thin pillow. Nice towels and sheets. Very thin walls. Very poor selection at breakfast including a very old jar of nutella. The guest house had a lingering smell of fried breakfast. The staff were friendly.

Very cold big gap under balcony door, window frames very dirty, shower door absolutely disgusting and sink was dirty and had a big crack in it. I have photos to prove this.

I booked this place for my father to come and visit for a night while I finish my university studies. The reviews online seemed decent, but in reality, it was far from decent. The main issue was the cleanliness which was pretty much non existent in the room. Grime throughout the ensuite bathroom, surfaces caked in dust, and very aged equipment. To highlight how aged and poor condition, the television on the wall started to fall off the wall. My father attempted to report it to the front desk, but was assured it was normal. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Avoid at all costs.

location is good, near to JR Hospital, just 10mins walk, near bus stop and many restaurant nearby breakfast is good and the warm greeting from the breakfast lady shower and toilet are in good condition but the room is a bit outdated

Pickwicks is cheap, but room 1 was very bad: noise from the shower extractor fan, noise and light from the road, uncomfortable bed and pillow, and the external toilet had been removed. There are better options at this price. Staff were positive and friendly.
