The staff was awesome! From check in, to dinner in the restaurant, to check out, everyone was so nice and kind and helpful. Check in was seamless, and the staff came up to help us with the controls for the air conditioning. she also sent an email immediately when I left my passport at the desk during check in. We had a wonderful conversation, in English, with wait staff in the restaurant. I think they enjoyed practicing their English. And they went out of their way to prepare a vegetarian dish for us even though there was no vegetarian option on the printed menu. At check out, we asked for a cab to the cruise port, but the male staff member offered to take us there instead. He ended up having to spend 30 minutes driving us to various places to get through immigration and get on the boat. It would have been so stressful without him as our intermediary. All the staff we interacted with went above and beyond our expectations. I would stay here again if I was ever in Puerto Plata again!

The disco on the top floor kept me awake.
