Our experience staying at the Ivy Manor Inn was generally very good. We stayed 3 nights (as planned). Location was central Bar Harbor, yet quiet, with walking distance everywhere in town. The Room was very nicely renovated, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was minimal, however, not much more than a cup of coffee and a muffin. Front yard live music events with bar and fire-place was entertaining and relaxing after a hiking day and was open for general public. EV charging for guests on site was especially welcome.

I rarely review but must say WOW to this manor. Excellent room and bath. Beautiful woodwork in the common areas. Free electricity for plug in vehicles (back in). Best location in town for restaurants, shops, greens. Friendly staff. As a bonus they were having a lawn party when we got there (more of a yearly thing than in my honor I suppose).

The place was awesome. Room was nicely furnished. Afternoon entertainment was great. Firepits on front lawn was fun and enjoyed the people we met. Parking was great as parking in Bar Harbor can be tough. Location was perfect, just a few minutes from Acadia. Highly recommend.

Loved the Ivy Manor Inn. Right in the middle of everything happening in Bar Harbor. Loved the fireplace and balcony in the room, loved the outdoor space with music and cocktails, loved the staff who were all so helpful.

Quaint room. Nice staff. Bar on the lawn with music. 24 hour coffee. Muffins and fruit and yogurt with granola in the mornings. Right in the middle of downtown. Free parking. Close to Acadia. LOVE IT!

Really enjoyed our stay. The live music daily on the front of the property with the outside bar was great! Being within steps of the Village Green it was close to all businesses and restaurants. Comfortable rooms, beautiful gardens and firepit areas, the interior of the Inn was authentic wood trimmed common areas matching the ivy covered tudor style of the Inn. I'd say it stood out as the most attractive property in Bar Harbor!

Ivy Manor Inn is one of the best establishment in which my wife and I have stayed. The location is perfect, making many attractions highly walkable. Our room was so comfortable we agreed we would love it as our master suite at home. The music, bar, and bonfires gave us a great place to wind down and connect with others.

Beautiful property! Loved the setting and ambiance. Housekeeping was quick, clean and efficient. I particularly liked the cottages APART from the main house. Because parking is difficult in bar harbor, this location is ideal because everything is walkable from here- dining, tour starts, transfer to Acadia, the shore walk. Highly recommend this property!

Front desk seasonal staff was not helpful or friendly. Housekeeping was great. If you are looking for a full breakfast it’s not the place. Head over to “ This Way Cafe” for exceptional breakfast.

We stayed in one of the cabins. It was cozy, quiet, clean, and had a fireplace. The outdoor firepits, bar and music were a very relaxing way to spend the evening. They provided a simple complimentary breakfast every morning. It was a great way to start the day. Last, but certainly not least, the staff was friendly and very accommodating. I would go back in a heartbeat.

There are no black out curtains in the room number 3, the sunrise is at 5:05 am, so you can imagine. The floor of the room simply dirty during the two days. For sure never come back.

Cute and clean property. We stayed in one of the cottages. It was cozy and quiet. The bar and yard out front are pretty busy in the evening and when there’s live music. The property is well cared for with cute landscaping and is right in the middle of the main drag. Very convenient. Highly recommend this property.

This Inn was adorable! Our little cottage in the back was cute, cozy and clean. Everything in Bar Harbor is within walking distance. Unfortunately, it was raining the night we were there so we didn’t experience their beautiful front lawn with the fire pits and bar. If you’re planning a trip to Bar Harbor, I would highly recommend a stay at the Ivy Manor Inn!

The location of this hotel is excellent and the staff is very nice. The front yard with music daily is also great. Our complaint with this hotel is the loud noise from the propane tanks outside our room. You almost can’t hear yourself think when the tanks are running. Fortunately they do shut them off at 9:30pm so it is quiet when you sleep. We were in room 6 and not every room would be subject to this noise. This should be disclosed when making the reservation and unfortunately there no way to experience this in advance. Despite the positives we would never recommend this hotel.

I love Tudor era and this hotel did it justice. Definitely the smallest hotel room I have stayed but the room and bathroom had everything we needed. We used the room to sleep and get ready. If I wanted to relax in room more, I probably wouldn’t have chosen this room. The location is spot on! & I love their outdoor area especially during happy hour.

Cottage room was spacious, private and comfortable. Location was perfect. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Though Ivy Manor is charming, the hotel staff needs to trim ivy on main building. It completely covers several guest-room windows and looks derelict.

I enjoyed staying at the inn. I slept comfortably, and the service was good. My main criticisms are that 1) the breakfast was disappointing, and I ended up eating breakfast outside the inn; and 2) there was no storage space in the room, which meant that I had to live out of my suitcase for my three-night stay.

Convenient location to anything your heart desires, ample parking behind the Inn and most gracious hostesses. Only things that I would improve are the sheet and pillowcase quality. The duvet was so much more pleasant.

We stayed in the main building in a charming room with a four-poster and a gas fireplace. It was wonderfully quaint and convenient to the Main Street of Bar Harbor. The accommodations for outdoor entertainment and music, served by a bar did not intrude, since they shut down by bedtime. We found the shower to be difficult to adjust to a stable temperature, so we took baths, instead. The water pressure was excellent, so the bath filled rapidly.

Fantastic property! We were in one of the little guest houses (#14). Like a cute little hotel room - ac worked great; noise was not an issue; seemingly newly renovated. The only negative was the bench in the room - v uncomfortable and thought it might break. Added bonus was the live music on the front lawn, so fun! Muffin in the am not great but plenty of places to walk to and have breakfast. Will absolutely return!!

Great location with free onsite parking. Beds are very uncomfortable and loud. Sunken in on each side. We stayed in a king room on the first floor and it was quite loud. Staff is friendly but not always available-we had to call someone to check in and check out.

Ivy Manor was a great choice for our stay in Bar Harbor! The Inn was cute, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the beds were extremely comfortable - perfect after a long day in Acadia! The outside fires on the lawn weren’t lit during our stay, but we were able to enjoy them the night before while wandering town. The Inn is perfectly situated to enjoy all of the downtown area.

The Ivy Manor Inn was a great find for us. We were greeted in the lot by Orville who was happy to help with our bags and lead us our check in where two glasses of bubbly were poured as we got our key and moved into our spacious and very comfortable first floor room. Breakfast was plenty for two people on the go. Don't pass up the blueberry muffins. Seriously. The live music (2-5) on the lawn was an unexpected treat as well with beer and drinks available followed by fire pits in the evenings. The amount of passer-by folks who we could hear say, "Look how cool this is." are right. It is cool and we will be back if and when Bar Harbor finds its way onto our calendars again.

Check in was a poor experience. There was nobody at the front desk, and after calling the listed number 3 times and having it go to voicemail, someone came to check us in who was not very polite. The property is overall nice—it has an antique feel and there is very nice sitting space outside in the front lawn area.

The service was amazing. they gave you a glass of champagne when you arrived. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The inn and the property were very pretty.
The service was amazing. they gave you a glass of champagne when you arrived. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The inn and the property were very pretty.

We arrived around 10:30 pm. To find no one staffing the desk, waited 20 minutes to Unanswered phone calls, and were getting quite worried when someone from the night shift arrived. She was apologetic and showed us to our cottage. While the site indicates the desk is staffed 24 hours a day, I would not recommend a late arrival.

We very much enjoyed the music and bar set up. We met wonderful tourists and enjoyed the fire pit very much. Great place to stay, walkable to Downtown and restaurants. We have been there 4 times and will return to Ivy Manor for sure 😊 Staff were all wonderful 👍

We stayed in a bungalow and loved the convenience of private entry. The grounds were lovely with the ivied manor and garden paths. Especially inviting was the front lawn area with Adirondack chairs encircling fire pits, afternoon bar, and live music. It faces Main St. where you can walk to the village center, shops, and restaurants in minutes. Across the street is the Village Green where you can hop on the Island Explorer, free public transportation. It was the perfect Inn for our 4 night stay!

Loved the Ivy Manor Inn. Right in the middle of everything happening in Bar Harbor. Loved the fireplace and balcony in the room, loved the outdoor space with music and cocktails, loved the staff who were all so helpful.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ivy Manor. It is extremely well located in the heart of things but yet quiet & very laid back. The fire pits & sitting areas in the front are a joy to sit back, listen to music, have a drink or just relax. Truly a wonderful place to stay in Bar Harbor!

We would give this 5 stars except for 2 things. The fireplace had a pilot light, but wouldn’t light. And the breakfast pastries were the same each morning: tasteless and sticky mushy. We appreciated the yogurts and the granola,and the good coffee available early so we could take it back to our room. We loved the room and the convenience of being in the middle of town, but set back, lovely and quiet. We enjoyed the private fire pit nestled in on the side. The afternoon concerts on the front lawn were a nice plus. It was a nice stay, and would book again.

Our experience staying at the Ivy Manor Inn was generally very good. We stayed 3 nights (as planned). Location was central Bar Harbor, yet quiet, with walking distance everywhere in town. The Room was very nicely renovated, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was minimal, however, not much more than a cup of coffee and a muffin. Front yard live music events with bar and fire-place was entertaining and relaxing after a hiking day and was open for general public. EV charging for guests on site was especially welcome.

Breakfast was not good. Fresh fruit was appreciated. Coffee dispenser is an aluminum container with watery tasting coffee. The rooms do not have coffee ( ie Keurig would make this stay better) The muffins were store bought and the same each morning. It’s shame because there are local bakeries which would supply fresh muffins and/ or pastry.

The property was convenient to all restaurants, and the shore path. Had a nice out door live music from 12noon to 5pm. Beautiful outdoor sitting area and the Inn itself is just inviting to look at. Not a big hotel look. Muffins in the morning were to die for.

Small room but the private deck was large and amazing. Front desk service was outstanding. The breakfast was pastries and yogurt with with some oranges and apples. Every afternoon there was live music on the front lawn

The location of Ivy Manor Inn can’t be beat! We loved the courtyard for cocktails and evenings by the fire. The rooms were clean and staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was great! Delicious muffins, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, coffee and juice. The AC units in the stand alone cottages need replacing. It was really loud and would only stay on for a few minutes then complete silence. The room was warm because the AC did not cycle appropriately. The hotel does not allow the guests to bring their own drinks into the front lawn area because they want you to buy their drinks. I think they should issue guest bracelets and allow guests to use the area freely. We had a bottle of champagne for our anniversary and had to hide by our room to enjoy it. The rooms are priced on the higher side so guests should be able to have their drinks without being bothered. We enjoyed our stay and due to the location, would probably return to Ivy Manor Inn.

This place is well situated, a beautiful house, lots of flowers, nice rooms But ours was somewhat clean, the carpet was dirty, water was dripping from the fan in the bathroom, we informed but nothing was done. The cleaning persons did not come to make the room or change some towels. The breakfast was really poor and the personal was not very welcoming, it was hard to identify the reception desk. It seem to us that the personal was not interested in their job except maybe one. The parking was perfect, close and easy to find.
