Hotel undergoing renovation. All updated areas looked great, incl. our room. However, THIS SURVEY ASKED ABOUT "CHECK-IN": The Front Desk Staff person, upon our arrival (10:45 pm), was completely unaware I was standing in front of them for a good 20 sec. as they sat daydreaming. I finally spoke & they acknowledged me, never getting up from the seat (perhaps they have a physical challenge & cannot, if that's the case, it's all good). As we exited the elevator onto the floor for our assigned room, we discovered the first half of the entire length of 1 corridor was dirty, spackled walls, apparently under renovation, although no workers were present at that time of night. As we looked further up the hallway we could see the renovated portion with fresh paint, new carpet, etc. That was where our room was, thankfully. IMO, 3 things need improving for CHECK-IN: Greet me with a smile, stand up to check me in, (if phyisically able), & alert me about the construction with reassurance. Something like this: "I've assigned you a newly renovated room; I hope you find it to you liking! As you get off of the elevator, you'll notice we are still updating other areas of that floor, but it's safe for you. When work resumes in the area tomorrow, there should be no disruption to your rest. Please enjoy your stay and call if there is anyway we can make it your best stay." Now, to close: In the morning, the Desk Staff was friendly, energetic, enjoyable.

Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. It was convenient to have a 24 Hour Fitness Center.

Clean room. Busy area if you go anywhere you will hit multiple tolls. Breakfast was just okay but more of a show than a meal. Parking was easy. Staff was incredible.

Breakfast through the week consisted of two microwaved small items. Weekends breakfast was good - however we stayed 4 weekdays. Pool is very small. After 3 days, we had to move rooms due to a malfunctioning lock. The new room was next to the guest laundry. Sounded like someone was drying tennis shoes until 10:00 PM. No sleep until after that. No attempt to compensate us. Some staff were helpful. Others were sullen. Housekeepers were very friendly, professional.

Musty smell in the lobby and room. Elevator broken, had to take stairs with luggage. Power kept flickering.

Worst Marriott property I’ve stayed at. No hot water whole stay. Requested late check out and they gave me until Noon because of “availability” even though there was no one in entirety of hotel. Then when I came to my room at 11 there was a maid inside. Water fountain didn’t work in fitness center. Hard stay away.

Only stayed one night - pool looked like it needed to be clean and water pressure in shower was a little low, but would recommend the place to others.

One of the best hotel I stayed at. Very quiet, breakfast was good I only wish they had potatoes. Staff was friendly. The fridge didn't work, and the staff replaced it within minutes. Check in and out was great so was parking.

We loved the staff, from the housekeepers to the front desk. Everyone was very nice, helpful and polite. The only issue was the pool being dirty and we couldn’t use it during our stay.

The wallpaper was peeling and the faucet pulled from the wall. The room smelled musty as did the hotel.

When I got to my room the first thing I noticed was the bathroom sink was dirty. I always travel with cleaning supplies so I cleaned it myself. I shouldn’t have to do that being that I’m saying and a hotel with a good reputation. As the night went on and I was ready to go to bed and pulled back the sheets I seen someone else’s hair on the sheets. It grossed me out so bad that I had to sleep in the chair. Horrible experience!!!

Amazing! Stayed for just one night while traveling through the area. Bright and clean lobby. Front desk associate was sweet, friendly and knowledgeable. Room was comfy, quiet and super clean. Breakfast looked good (mix of hot and cold items), but we just grabbed fresh hot coffee before heading out. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we're ever in the Richmond area. Highly recommend!

Facility was well kept and clean. The room was very well appointed and the amenities were above average for the price. There was no cutting corners like not enough towels in the room. I was pleasantly surprised.

This went from a lackluster stay to a downright bad one. Arrived on Friday night, we checked in, which was seamless having already prepaid online. We head up to the third floor and notice we've been assigned an ADA room. Fine, but unnecessary, and there were several other rooms available. The TV did not work. The water pressure was horrible--it was almost laughable and the water had a foul odor to it. With a wedding on Saturday, we woke up and as I began to get dressed, I noticed my clothes were soaking wet. I'd left my suitcase on the floor with a corner under the AC unit, which had poured out water--this was not a condensation leak. Two inches of pooled water was in my suitcase, and my Ferragamo loafers were soaked, with standing water in the heel. I went down to inform the front desk. I spoke with who I believed was the manager Gina. She apologized and said they'd have someone check on it and that she'd provide me "credits" for my stay. I had to rush down to DSW to buy a pair of replacement shoes ($110) prior to the 2 pm wedding. They never came to check on the AC at all--it leaked throughout the second night, which likely means its been in the carpet and likely grown into mold--lovely. They also don't make up the room. Their policy is every three days. I went down at checkout., No credits. Given a phone number to call to ask for manager Gina. It was the local front desk--Gina wasn't in on Sundays. Just a disaster and no assistance.

The room and breakfast was very nice. The air conditioner was noisy.

Loudest air conditioner I’ve ever had in a hotel room that turned on and off all night which woke me up ten times.

This property was very easy to get to so the location was perfect. Very clean and the breakfast fit our needs with great options. My family nor my back liked the beds. It felt like we were sleeping on a box spring with a thin piece of cushion. Although being on the 3rd floor, we heard walking on the floor above us all night for all 3 nights which made it hard to stay asleep.

Front desk staff super kind & accommodating. But nothing like a youth sports team sitting in lobby making tons of noise at 10pm…. And paper thin walls so you can hear neighbors TV on full blast :(

Hotel staff was superb! Only complaint was the water went out in the middle of our shower and hot never went back on.

Room was spacious; furnishings nice. Plumbing was horrible! Water pressure in sink was very poor. Water pressure in shower was OK--just OK. And the warm water (notice I sent "warm", not hot) disappeared halfway through the shower!

My wife and I are regulars at this location and we have used it to host business meetings as well and have been treated very well by the staff and have always had a great experience. The staff, especially Tiffany at the front desk were the difference makers, ensuring that we had everything we needed personally and for our groups. Also, the breakfast and breakfast staff are amazing as well. I will continue to use and recommend this location. Thank you to everyone who is a part of this establishment.

Not greeted by anyone even with lack of people in the lobby. Over ten minutes later I saw the young man in charge sitting in a chair with his feet up relaxing with a coworker. After getting his attention he handed me the keys for room #300. As I collected our luggage my wife called and told me that our “room” was occupied. Turned out the hotel assigned us the wrong room. The room was the best offered and looked like a standard room at any truck stop. Doors didn’t shut, dirty towels, thin walls, and a view of their dumpster seemed to be their best room. In the morning we were awoken by pounding on our door saying maintenance was needed. After explaining we had a noon checkout the guy says “Oh” without even an apology then proceeded to pound on every door on our floor extra loud from his annoyance with us I assume. Much more could be said but bottom line ignore any positive reviews about this place and go anywhere else.

Good condition hotel with clean rooms. Good breakfast selection. Lost a star due to happy anna on reception at check in and her equally happy sister on reception in the morning. Both also not dressed very professionally as well their demenor.

The property is fairly new and is excellently maintained. Still looks and feels new. Nice quiet ad convenient location right off of 60 & 76. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Good for an overnight stay- Beds comfortable, breakfast sufficient but minimal, and room clean- just a little musty smelling before we turned on the air in the room but better after. Staff was friendly. Very convenient to the hospital- which is what we needed.

Nice place but breakfast disappointing

We came to town for the Richmond marathon and only stayed one night. During the time we were there, I was thoroughly impressed and would stay at this hotel again. It was birght, clean, great coffee in the mornings and a helpful front desk staff. The room itself was quiet, cozy and clean. The only negative thing I have to say is rooms on 2nd floor have door locks that stick...you have to push on it hard to get it to shut/lock, which means slamming it shut (much to the displeasure of nearby neighbors!).

The staff was very gracious and helpful. The breakfast was a cut above the usual continental breakfast. We'll use this hotel often in the future.
