In town for an event at the convention center. Perfectly located with great amenities in the hotel so we never had to leave

We felt the security of the property was insufficient. The elevator access to the floors was not secure. The room key should be used to access the elevator.

I like it was close to the river and the place I needed to work. It was not far from places to shop like Target, DG, and restaurants. I really like the gym as well. It was nice hotel, but it was expensive to eat breakfast, lunch, and any snacks were crazy expensive.

We had one night stay at the Westin. The hotel was clean, there is a big/convenient bar on the ground floor. Convenient self parking underneath the hotel. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Nice restaurants and bars all within safe walking distance of 1 -2 blocks if that is all the farther you want to go by foot.

Parking garage is very tight. Suggest parking at convention center

Connected to the convention center was a plus due to the rain and cooler weather.

Hotel was rundown and not worth the price. There was no pool but advertised as having a pool. It is connected to convention center but the connection was closed. Escalators were inoperable. Would not recommend.

Booked a king room on Expedia and when we arrived we were assigned two double beds. When we asked the customer service representative to correct the mistake, they stated that the Westin does not honor room choices made on Expedia. After several minutes they were able to find an available king room. They recommended booking directly with the hotel for future stays. Outside of this issue our stay was OK. Room was basic, nothing special. It could have been cleaner as there was hair in the bathroom and the sleeping area. Neighbors were quite noisy at 2am. Location was great, close to everything. Will look elsewhere before booking another room at the Westin.

The hotel was nice and my room was clean. Everything worked in the room. The bathroom was clean, great towels, shower and amenities. Even the stopper in the sink worked and the sink held water ( only 1 in 10 hotel bathrooms are that way!)

This property is great if you are attending something at the convention center. Lobby is beautiful and modern. Rooms are not updated and I would rate them a 3 at best. My room was old and dusty. Mattress sucked! Squeaked and was broken down on the edges.

The bed was horribly squeaky. You couldn’t breathe without it making noises. Neither of us could sleep. The tile in the shower was cracked and seemed dirty. The bathroom didn’t have the best ventilation so the steam from the shower created water all over the ceiling that would drip on us. The you can hear other rooms activities pretty easily. For an Executive suite, I really wanted it to be worth the cost. I should have saved the $200 and went with a cheaper room for the same quality. I am also not a fan of being charged more than the cost of the room for the chance that we damage something. The front desk didn’t disclose how much they were charging nor what I was even being charged until I asked. I understand that people are monsters in rooms they don’t own, but it made me feel like they assume the worst in everyone. Doesn’t make me want to come back. I did not get what I hoped I’d be paying for.

Everything was great, with one mishap, I found a pair of men’s underwear under the desk. So it told me the room was not cleaned as well as it should have been, I then started questioning everything!

Staff at the registration desk were friendly and accommodating! The room was a little dated, but everything was functional and it was comfortable. I will definitely stay there again.

The place to stay if going to the Convention Center, as the hotel is across the street. Lots of restaurants nearby. Valet and easy self (paid) parking. Friendly staff. What’s not to like? Smallish room, but reasonably well appointed. I’m not sure why, but I expected something fancier. Safe choice, recommended.

Got an executive suite. Obviously the room was recently renovated. Everything was in great condition and the bed was so comfortable.

Spacious

The room was clean, cozy, comfortable and convenient to the convention center. I got the best sleep here and looking forward to coming back again.

Like many properties, I felt the room was not as updated and fresh as the public areas were. Check-in was extremely fast and efficient. The value is in the proximity to the freeway and downtown life.

There was a loud noise at night, caused by the air conditioning unit. This has been complained about before.

Once I arrive to Westin front office informed me there is no room available for me. I paid month ahead and received confirmation emails. Also welcome email from hotel and Expedia on 4/4. Front office manager and his supervisor handle the situation very badly and they are so rude. No more Expedia bookings and disgrace to be a Marriott Bonvoy member.

We stayed at this hotel because we had an event there that evening. We are local, but thought it would be nice to be able to be on sight. It was a very challenging night. I think the hotel took on more than it could handle. There was a huge gala, weddings, and proms there that evening and multiple people there for an event at the adjacent convention center. The hotel either wasn't prepared for the number of guests or hadn't properly staffed up to handle the volume of people. Check in was at 4 pm and we didn't get into our room until after 6 (our event started at 5:30 and we weren't ready so we were an hour and a half late by the time we got to the charity dinner). When we finally got to speak to a manager (who was nowhere to be found during this whole time), and after being told our room would be ready ASAP, we found out that our room wouldn't be ready until 8pm because of a deal they have with Delta to hold rooms that late for flights. Had we not raised the issue and just continued to wait patiently in the lobby, they wouldn't have said anything to us and we would have been hours late to our event. Overall poor management of the check in process and communication. Had we known we couldn't get into our room at 4, we would have gotten ready at home and then gone to the event. They really messed up on all fronts for us and I doubt I will ever stay there again.

Customer service is top notch

Staff were not very friendly upon arrival and checkout. Bed was very worn and had a hole on one side. Disappointed.

Staff helpful - good local for Steelers games

This was my first time visiting Pittsburgh and I traveled here with my partner for her conference. Some of the front desk staff were rude upon trying to check in. Hotel was not as welcoming to her organization as they were more welcoming to the guest who appeared or seemed to be more wealthy than others. We were never able to park at the hotel garage as the attendant continued to say it was “full” but we literally saw him direct a handful of cars to the parking area after we were told that it was completely full. We had to park at the convention center parking garage the whole weekend which is a garage that you have to pay for that does not include in and out privileges. It just doesn’t make sense to me that you pay all this money for a hotel and can’t park at the hotel.

Great location with easy access to the Lawrence Convention Center, the Strip district, and the Cultural district downtown. Everything you could want for a food option is within walking distance of the hotel.

Beautiful place in center of the city.

Liked the staff. Liked my room. Tv only worked some of the time however. Water and snacks too expensive! We had one complimentary water in our room for two people. Why not two? Why not four? Not enough breakfast options. Liked Bills Burgers and Bar.

The facility was absolutely beautiful and amazing and a perfect location. I only wish we researched the day we were coming as there were several events downtown, making it very difficult to drive but once we arrived, it was well worth it and the weight. We were a little unhappy about the amount that we paid and it didn’t include breakfast. I have stayed in lower budget, hotels and motels and always gotten breakfast and Phill that part was a little unfair.

This property is way overdue for a remodel. Standards seemed to slide during covid and haven’t rebounded. The restaurant in the hotel is nothing special but on the positive side there is a Starbucks and it has been cleaned up since the last time we were there.

Good location. Hotel had all the amenities including restaurants. Only feedback was the parking charges were quite high but other than that the everything was excellent.

Room was lovely and clean. The view wasn't wonderful, but it was a gloomy day. Food was accessible and the wait staff was accommodating. The lobby was airy, not crowded, tastefully dcorated and comfortable while we waited.

Free breakfast would have been nice .
