I booked this hotel exclusively because they had an indoor pool and we needed a break from the Winter. It was the primary reason for staying here. Upon entering the hotel, there was a sign informing us there was no pool heater, therefore, no pool time whatsoever. Unfortunately, I booked through Expedia so we just stayed and made the best of it. But, truly we were so disappointed in this reservation.

The front check-in staff were amazing and so were the valet crew. Room was very clean and comfortable. Was happily surprised how clean the indoor pool and fitness area were! We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was very tasty, and the morning breakfast was good as well. I would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Riverfront but there was an issue. The elevators were extremely slow. One elevator only went to the roof top bar as long as the bar was open, so it only left 2 elevators which had long waits due to the amount of people there. Besides that, everything was great.

We selected to stay due to the description of their "roof top terrace". After arriving at check-in we were advised the roof top terrace was closed for the season. Apparently they only open it during the summer---when asked why considering they showed fire pits they said it was for the "summer wind chill???". Bizarre.

The pool is cloudly. My husband and were unable to swim both days of our stay. Only one cook on breakfast line. No bacon or sausage on self serve buffet line. Had to wait for cook to serve. Long line.

Overall we had a very nice stay at the Embassy Suites Riverfront hotel. The property is right on the river with a beautiful view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The elevator situation in the hotel is somewhat awkward; there are three different elevators that have three different purposes and there is no crossover, very confusing. Parking is not included in the price, it is an additional $22. The room was clean. The rooftop bar has an incredible view! The indoor pool was a hit with my nieces ( although the room itself was hot and stuffy and the cushions on the lounge chairs are a little dirty and falling apart). The breakfast was very good, the made to order omelettes were wonderful! I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Very nice place to stay in Wilmington! We had 2-queen river view room. The room was clean & the beds were comfortable. The liquid soap & lotion smelled great. The parking is in the adjacent convention center garage. It could get confusing how to get back into the hotel unless you park on the 2nd level. EV chargers are on the 3rd level. The included breakfast was wonderful! Eggs & omelettes made to order! They also have an evening happy hour reception which is a fun touch. I would definitely stay here again!

Great property! Managers social was great and the breakfast in the morning was excellent! Rooms were clean and well maintained. Rooftop bar was my favorite part of this property! Great views and great service! Would definitely stay here again!

Each time I’ve stayed at this hotel there has been issues with cleanliness. On my last stay the floors were not mopped; there were clumps of hair in the bathroom floor, the floors were dirty, there was mold in the shower and dirt on the door frames. It is a beautiful property in a great location but attention to detail and cleanliness is lacking.

Paid for a king room with a view and when I asked to be moved on a Wednesday when the hotel was nearly vacant, was told there wasn’t one available. Front desk attendant had an attitude. Ended up with two queen beds. There was no shampoo, bed sheets had blood, towels were raggedy and stained with lipstick. Had to ask to have our room cleaned three days after complaining. Could be a great hotel if managed properly.

The cleaniless was awful. Hair everywhere. No detail cleaning at all. killed a roach in our room. The bartender hands were nasty during complimentary cocktail hr. The parking prices are ridiculous which was misinformed at the front desk. Let's just say my favorite hotel is now my least.

The only real complaint was the room was dirty. LOTS of hair in the bathroom. Shower floor was visibly dirty and there was food (a bunch of almonds) under one of the mobile ottomans. Off putting for sure, especially at the price. View was great. Staff was pleasant. But we left a night early just because we were grossed out.

The place was okay. The TV didn’t work at all which was a bummer and the bathroom had no vent fan. The lack of a fan was annoying because a lot of steam built up which was why there was rust in the bathroom. Additionally no one said anything about the parking fees which were more than what they should be. It would have been cheaper to park around the block and walk across the street.

We stayed in a river view two room suite. It was perfect for my wife, me, and my three boys. There are at least a dozen walkable restaurants, shopping, and a train museum right next door. We stayed for a concert at the Live Oak Pavilion. The walk was very easy even with kids. Would highly recommend this spot.

We reserved a river front view but our room was on the side, not much view except rooftops next door. The room was clean and quiet, however the sofa was very old and in poor condition. The bed was very comfotable, the room was serviced daily with towels. It was a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet is not quite as good as it used to be, the food was often cold and some items were not edible, yet other items were good. Hit or miss I guess. The tv in the bedroom did not work but a call to the front desk and it was promptly fixed.

We go to this hotel a few times a year on a quick overnight getaway. This time the bed was terrible, very worn and there were a few stains on one of the pillow cases. But we absolutely love this hotel and will be back. hopefully to a better bed next time.

All in all it was a great trip... love the location, close enough to walk to downtown bars and shops but far enough away to still be quiet. The food was wonderful, the rooftop bar was amazing! The beds are really hard and uncomfortable to me though, but otherwise the staff are the best!

Overall the hotel was nice, good location, comfortable bed. However, I could not actually enjoy said bed due to the excessive hallway noise. Partly just due to the location of my room. I was at the end of the hall directly next to the exit door from the hotel. Everytime this door was used, it slammed shut and this was very audible in my room. Unrelated to just an unlucky room location was housekeeping pounding on all the doors at a very early hour. My room had no do no disturb sign available, so I’m wondering if other rooms had this issue which led to the incessant ‘knock knock housekeeping’. I had to wait to shower until I had the unfortunate knock at my door because I didn’t want to be in the shower and have themselves help themselves into the room. Overall a very disappointing and unrestful stay. Two other hotels (aloft and a best western) in this exact location would be what I would lean towards next trip back.

I booked our suite MONTHS ago - with a water view. If I stood on a chair, I could see over the buffer wall outside the window on the second floor. At that point I could see water. Hence a ' water view ' ? Lesson learned..

Things we loved: the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel, the hospitality, our cozy room, the daily breakfast and dinner at Steam, convenient location, many things located within walking distance, valet service, guest services checking in with us via text. One thing to note: this is a very pet friendly hotel. We had a barking dog in the room next to us. It only seemed to bark when the owner was away. So gratefully it didn't bark at night. If I had known about the pet policy, I would have asked for a room not adjacent to a pet owner. But otherwise the hotel provided an amazing trip for us. We would definitely consider returning.

This property has the worst front office and housekeeping staff. Out of 6 employees I managed to talk to, 5 were full of lies. I can name them all. All I want for them to check is a pair of pants I left in the closet. The 5 employees after chasing for 2 days, only 1 who is decent enough to talk to me and offered help. The rest of the 5 were just promising to get back to me but never did. WORST HOTEL FRONT OFFICE STAFF I encountered. I am a platinum user of Orbitz. I travel a lot. This hotel is the Universe's worst customer service.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites in Wilmington. The location was convenient to our activities and had some great amenities like the pool, restaurants and bar located on property. Most of the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. My only critique was for the Front Desk staff. While they were not outright rude, they were not very welcoming. I never once received a smile or "welcome in" from anyone working the front desk. The automated text messaging service was more friendly than the front desk staff. Thankfully that demeanor did not translate to the rest of the staff who were all very welcoming and kind.

Location, Location, Location. Walk 3 blocks and your in the heart of Front St and Market. Which is were all the Pubs/Bars, Restaurants and Shopping is. Hotel is located right on the River. Cook to Order breakfast was great.

The hotel was clean and in a nice area, very walkable. Valet was very friendly ($22 for self parking was on high end) Room clean and nice lobby. Breakfast was good, friendly man at omelet station. Only went to happy hour once and was very disappointed. Cheese and crackers set up right where the people lined up for drinks. I felt so sorry for Gabi who was working alone. She had a line of 10-20 people the entire 90 minutes. She was sweet and polite but someone should have been assisting her. I saw her run to get glasses and then a heavy thing of ice. A man only came over once but did not assist her. This was not representative of the happy hour I've seen at other Embassy Suites. They would be better served to just give us a coupon for one free drink at the bar. We did have a drink in bar and nice view (wife had great chocolate martini)Overall above average stay.

I enjoyed the manager's reception and the convenience of the parking deck to the hotel. It's very convenient to the Riverwalk. I was a bit disappointed in the breakfast. There was a lot of items not available and what was available was cold. This was quite different from past stays where the food was excellent. I guess we all have bad days. Overall it was a positive experience.

We had a fantastic experience at Embassy Suites! The on-site restaurant was excellent – delicious food and great service. One of the highlights was the free made-to-order breakfast every morning, which offered a wide variety of options and tasted amazing. The complimentary happy hour in the evening was a wonderful bonus – perfect for relaxing after a long day. The location is also ideal, situated right on the riverfront in a vibrant area with plenty to see and do. Highly recommend for both leisure and business travelers!
