Overall a very nice stay. My only disappointment is that they have chargers for electric cars but they are not the typical universal chargers (J-1772) and were of no use to us.

Great hotel and very clean with very nice staff. Highly recommended. Minor complaint is the parking garage has very narrow spots and you have to back up to make the turn out of the parking exit gate. As a Marriot, the complementary coffee should be 24/7 instead of just morning time.

The hotel was nice and the staff were great. The bartender, Angela was especially friendly. The room was clean, however, on our last day we saw a bug. I don't think it was a bed bug but that was a little disappointing. Overall though the hotel was clean and well kept. I would recommend the hotel and stay again.

For he price I expect a room to be cleaner than what I got. I quickly found pubic hairs all over the bathroom. Then there is the breakfast. We went down early in the morning to grab a quick bite. The woman quickly told be the all you can eat was $18 per person. $18 for a weak continental breakfast. It was a joke

This property was not the best Marriot we've ever stayed, and expensive for what it was. When we arrived the room we were given was not clean (beds slept in, bathroom used, etc). We called to the front desk and they apologized - they put us in a room that someone had just checked out of and hadn't been cleaned. They gave us a gift bag of snacks and a new room, but given the amount of time it took, we almost were not able to get dinner out (we checked in around 8:00, and by the time we left to go to dinner it was almost 9pm when all the local restaurants closed!) The next night we had an issue with our toilet and when we called for maintenance to come up with a plunger, they put the plunger in a bag on our door! We never saw a maintenance person, so we did it ourselves. Parking is expensive for the night, and not a great breakfast spread in the am either.

The property is very nice enough if a bit spartan and generally is in a good location. However, it is across the street from a student bar and on Saturday from 12:30 to 2:00 am the music and patrons were SO LOUD that it woke all of us (we had three different rooms) and kept us awake for that hour and a half in the middle of the night. The hotel is quite expensive for what it offers and should not subject its patrons to this interruption.

Hotel is in a very nice area, shopping, restaurants, and bars are in walking distance. Property and rooms have a nice modern design, and everything was clean. The King Bedroom had a generous size, with leather sofa and a large TV. Room also comes with a fridge, safe, iron, and ironboard. The only complaints are about the noise level and the water pressure in the shower. Noise level: you can hear every step and conversation from the hallway. When people walk in the room above you you can hear their steps. Water pressure: The bathroom himself is very nice with a good size shower. They even installed a rainfall shower head. Unfortunately the shower has no water pressure, and you standing in the shower and wondering where the water is. Very disappointing if you like to start your morning with a nice shower.

I would never stay here again. I felt so claustrophobic in the room. They only allow the air to go down to 65 degrees and then the AC system is SO LOUD when it does finally come on, which is not often. I travel every couple of weeks to North Carolina and have stay in a ton of different hotels, places. This is one I would never stay in again. I was so hot all night long.

I was given room 103 which is located near the gym. I could hear all the equipment late into the evening and extremely early the next morning. I would recommend better sound proofing for the gym or the room. The in room HVAC system sounded like a helicopter coming in for a landing while it was cooling.

The front desk charged me $25/night for parking without asking. She just took my card for "liabilities" and then handed me a parking pass. Only to find a $75 charge on my card upon returning from my trip. Overall nice but that felt sneaky. I would have liked the option not chosen for me.

Our short stay here for a college campus tour could not have been better. The staff at the hotel were all so friendly and welcoming! Because of the times of our flight arrival and departure, we needed an early check-in and a late check out. The staff accommodated both! I would stay here again without a doubt!

Room housekeeping at check-in was arranged for every other day; if check-in is day1, then daily housekeeping would start on day2 while every-other day would bring housekeeping on day3 and day5 of the 6-day stay. However, by end of day3, no housekeeping had occurred. I brought this to the attention of the person at the front desk; apparently, that person counts days differently than I do. All in all, poor communication from the front desk. Breakfast buffet appears okay but certainly not at European standards....but trying to order a la carte, though on the menu, is trying. Oatmeal on day2 was excellent, whereas on day3 it was terrible: the restaurant host was rather unconvincing in her "apology" and offered me nothing as compensation.

We have stayed here a couple of years ago and had such a good experience that we chose it again. This time however it felt like a different hotel. The person checking us in was not welcoming, not mean, just indifferent. Zero customer service. We had an issue with the lights when we first got in our room. We knew about the main switch but it wasn’t the issue. They seemed to have a short in them because they eventually came on when we weren’t touching the light switch. It was a weird start. Then to noise of the AC unit. It rattled and whined intermittently. The whole return would vibrate. I resorted to turning it off completely and then restarted it when absolutely necessary. Next, my son’s sheets had maybe a 4” V shaped tear in them. He didn’t want to deal with them coming in to replace the sheets so I let them know about it when we left so they would hopefully not reuse them again. Overall, the place felt unkept. My son asked me, “what happened to this place, it was so nice before?” The upside is that it has a decent gym and it’s walkable to the campus and to any restaurant on Franklin. Also, I liked the shower set up. Those are the perks.

The staff was fantastic - very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in a nice area that was walkable to shops and restaurants as well as a slightly longer but very manageable walk to the UNC Chapel Hill campus. Hotel was very comfortable and clean.

Staff, lobby and cleanliness were good. Only problem (and it was a big one) is our room was directly across from a bar that was packed with college students and played music until 2AM. I even had ear plugs and it did not drown out the noise. We asked to be moved but were told there were no available rooms. Everything else was great; however, that was so unacceptable that we will not be staying there again. We paid for a place to sleep and were not provided that. They did comp breakfast and parking which was something.

I’m not a fan of the decor. It’s modern and sterile and ugly. It was something that we couldn’t overlook. Also, to charge $18 for the “breakfast” is highway robbery. And the TIP for the girl who, all she ever does is bring your check.

Very hip and new. Loved every aspect except the dining options. Breakfast was 15 dollars for what most hotels give away for free. Nothing special at all about that. Then evening menu was all FROZEN food that was put into a "special" oven. Terrible. And expensive. But in this area, the only option for late night.
