R Hotel Kingston

Restaurant closes 830pm. Decent bfast although limited options. Confusing elevator situation.

Initially i was thinking that I would definitely book this hotel again and would also recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I was shocked when I went to check out and I was told I had to pay US150.00 to use the bathroom that obviously had a leaking problem before we were assigned the room.. We were told that we broke a pipe underneath the kitchen sink which was a blatant lie.. Even if a pipe was broken outside of the bathroom how could that be the customers fault??As a customer I should be able to simply use the shower without fearing I might break a pipe located elsewhere in the hotel room..that problem had absolutely nothing to do with us and therefore that decision wasn't fare to me at all I was very disappointed and therefore could never ever recommend anyone to stay here.. that's it for me

The Breakfast was amazing as always

2 stars, significant room for improvement I would not stay here again. The property has considerable potential; however, it requires meaningful renewal if it hopes to be regarded as more than a 2 star experience. Most concerning were the interactions with the front desk, which conveyed a lack of trust toward guests. The supervisor (female) communicated in a notably cold manner that appeared to anticipate problems rather than facilitate solutions. By contrast, the bar staff and security team were consistently friendly and professional. They were attentive and, at times, seemed apologetic regarding guest concerns, which was appreciated. The pool area did not align with the promotional images. On a positive note, the air conditioning functioned well. Prospective guests may wish to confirm amenities and inclusions in writing prior to arrival, as I spent approximately 95 minutes with Hotels.com while they advocated for what had been promised. Given the number of alternative accommodations available, I will be exploring other options upon my return next month.

Room was cleaned, staff and breakfast were great. Always have a pleasant stay. On this occasion though my floor was incredibly noisy until late. I would still stay again but hope to be able to sleep better next time
