Amazing resort. Clean room, shuttles were always available. Room service was incredible. Staff went above and beyond. Pools were always accessible. Was hard to accommodate large groups, had to sit at different tables. A little pushy on selling the future stay at the beginning and end.

Everything was great! Really good food and many options to choose from. No issues with reservations for dinner, plenty of options. App works great. Plenty of amenities for kids and adults. The Spa is the best one I have seen. The water park, playroom and shows were amazing. We had a blast and we can’t wait to be back!

great for families with kids. a lot to do on site. a lot of dining options but need to use their app to book reservations in advance or else you wont get a table for dinner. the grand buffet is always available as back up option if you didn't a spot in restaurant for dinner. all the staff are very nice and friendly. very close to airport too.

Their app works great, staff were almost exclusively awesome, and the food was good. Our daughter loved the kids club (she is 4.5) which made going to dinner with my husband easy. Minor annoyances on occasion (yes the resort credits feel like a scam, but I did get a lovely spa experience with just $46 owing). Drinks are great, wine is actually good, loved it. Chairs by the pools were easy to come by. Yes, there is a lot of walking, but we’re mobile and could use the exercise from all the food! My only knock is the lobby area isn’t the prettiest place I’ve been. It’s not open air and feels like a Vegas hotel. The grounds make up for it though.

Amazing Stay with Family! Every part of the hotel, its staff and all the facilities were what you’d expect from a luxurious resort like this one. Many restaurants choices at The Grand and nearby hotels to choose from. Kids had multiple swimming pools to choose. All in all a great family spot!

We are a family of five who stayed at The Grand for seven nights. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. On the second night, we found a cockroach in our room. The hotel arranged fumigation but refused our request to switch rooms, and we could not access the room for part of the day. The property feels outdated. The elevator in Building 94 was broken for our entire stay and was never fixed. The shuttle layout is also inconvenient, with the main hub located at the back of the lobby while all external transfers depart from the front, requiring unnecessary walking. Dining was average at best. We tried Habibi, Casa Mia, Jade, The Grill, Cusco, Tavola, MOMO, Caribeno, Grand Buffet, and Circus. Circus is friendly to kids, but the food is poor. Alcoholic drinks are extremely weak. Service was inconsistent, and at Casa Mia a server broke a glass and did not apologize even though shards flew near our feet. The only standout was the dessert shop behind the lobby. The positive side: the waterpark, Bounce Zone, Playroom, and arcade areas kept the kids happy and busy throughout the trip. Overall, great for children but not a resort we would return to or recommend.

An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, very well-maintained, and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Room service is below average. Room not made up timely. Sometime fogot to put new towels. Found a cockroach. Food is also below average. Not that many protein options. Service is also bad. For buffet you still need to wait every time with wide empty space. Very often short of plates. Hotel layout is horrible. Spread out long building with a lot of walking. Golf cart transportation is great though. The place is so big and guests are scattered so you don’t feel the resort vibe. Some shows are good. Beach is not good either. Very narrow without any activities. After you check out, a lot of sales will try to sell membership to you. They should put those people to do real work and improve service quality. If you are the first time coming to Cancun, it might seem ok for you. We have been there for more than 10 times, and this is the worst.

The check-in was great, when in the room we noticed there was a cockroach in the bathroom and a live lizard crawling on the wall. When notified the front desk about it, they replied lizard is ok but the cockroach is gross. I was amazed by this response. They eventually sprayed my room since changing the room would have left us without a place for few hrs as per the front desk person. We asked for extra bed which arrived after 4-5 hrs and multiple phone calls.

Amazing amenities lots to do food and drinks delicious. Pools dirty and dated need maintenance, room halls dirty unattended mattresses and towels on the floor. We upgraded to a ocean view and ended up on a room where pillows and mattresses smell bad. They offered pillow mist and humidifier that help with the smell but not enough. Beach full of sea weed but I don’t blame that on the hotel. Overall the hotel lobby, restaurants and activities are amazing it just needs some money on the room cleaning.

The room was decent but the rugs were dirty in the room. Also, for some reason we had a hard time getting small towels. Even after the room was cleaned we were only given 2 small towels to bath with, there were 4 of us. One night it took 2 hours to get towels. We put in 3 request and still had to wave a staff member down to bring us towels. The waiter at the Jade restaurant ignored my sister after she complained about not receiving her food. We were intial told that only the credits given to us by expedia expired but were later told that all credits expire at the end of stay. We missed out on a lot of activities. The presentations that they offer take up majority of your trip.

The rooms were a bit dated. When we checked in, the elevators didn’t work and none of the amenities we had requested in advance were in the room, so we had to switch buildings. They were able to upgrade us due to Expedia. The restaurants and food was good, but a few of us ended up catching the stomach bug afterwards. Don’t think we’ll be coming back here.

Beautiful rooms, awesome pools, actually delicious food, and good drinks. This place is fantastic. Just a couple things to keep in mind: - bring your own insulated drink cup and they’ll fill it for you! - BRING JET CLEANER for the tub in your room. Amazing service throughout the entire week's stay, memorable personnel were Cecilia and Monserrat at check in and all the service staff in all of the restaurants. Lots of dining options, standouts are the steak house and Habibi, the mediterranean restaurant. Plenty of coffee, dessert stands, bars, and entertainment. Rhe value here is extraordinary. The resort is very, very large. No real ocean view, as the property is bordered by foliage. The Moon Palace Grand clearly cares about making guests happy and it shows. Definitely worth checking out!

We stayed at the Grand and the facilities were so clean! You never saw room service trays or random drink cups sitting around. Staff were all beyond friendly and accommodating. Property is very big so they have golf cart service to give rides to wherever you want to go, and we never waited more than a few minutes, if that! Restaurants were easy to get into and make reservations, buffett was also good! Only negative to the trip was the salespeople trying to book you into the vacation club. We tried a dozen ways to say we would not be making a decision today and I get they have to keep trying but it got annoying at a certain point. If the club would let people think on it and come back you may get people to purchase more.

This is my first time in Cancun. I chose Moon Palace because there are many options to choose from in case I didn't like one. Although I stayed at The Grand, I thought Sunrise was much better and ended up going there more. Unfortunately, the beach water was so dirty that we didn't dare to step into the water. The beach itself was clean, but the water looked like there were sludge in it, not even seaweed. It was so gross I didn't see anyone in it. Nevertheless, the kids enjoyed the pool and entertainment options, and that's all that matters to us. The hair dryer and TV was broken, but maintenance quickly addressed that. I suggest downloading their app and reserving your restaurant in advance, but there are plenty of buffets around as well.

We always have a great time at the Moon Palace Grand. Food is wonderful, the staff is wonderful and we feel welcome and at home there. My only complaints are: 1. the location is a little bit far and while requesting transportation is fairly easy, it’s just a bit pricey and time consuming to explore other beaches. 2. This year the brown algae (sargassum) was horrific but it’s not the norm. and 3. the Grand has three big hot tubs for the entire resort and they’re always full and not the most clean. Even though it is warm in Cancun, the hot tubs are nice during the rain. These are not things that would make or break our stay-normally a bad beach would turn me off but the brown algae is not something that the property can control so it’s not their fault and since we have been coming here for three years it’s the first time I have seen it this bad and it’s abnormal for this time of year.

This is an awesome all inclusive resort, everyone is so welcoming, helpful and kind! We had a great 9 day vacation! Dining options at the 3 resorts are exceptional, installations are luxurious and comfortable at its best. Plenty of pools, bars, shows and activities all day long! The only downside is the beach but with your stay you get the opportunity to go to the other sister hotels at the hotel zone to enjoy a better beach at no cost.

We loved all of the amenities but the smell the day we arrived by the beach was awful! Loved all the other perks water park, kids club for our older kids was great! Excellent would give 5 of the beach wasn’t so bad. Got upgraded to a suite due to Expedia gold member. Book a trip to beach palace if you are a beach person as we enjoyed the day trip but have to get arranged early for availability. Overall great time for me my husband and two kids (8 and 12)

I tried some other all inclusive resorts which have double the size of food items than moon palace. Also the beach access from Grande is not good. You have to travel a bit to get to the beach and on top of that beach is very bad to get in.

The resort itself is beautiful and the staff is very friendly, but there are a few things future guests should know before booking. The rooms look amazing online, but in person they’re definitely more edited than accurate. Still nice, just not as luxurious as the photos suggest. The biggest issue for us happened right at check-in. Before you even get to relax, you’re pressured into attending a “breakfast presentation” the next morning. It’s basically a timeshare pitch disguised as a membership offer that costs thousands. After a long trip, the last thing you want is sales pressure when all you want is food and rest. Speaking of food, this was the biggest disappointment. Most of the food we tried was cold and bland. Maybe my expectations are high, but the quality just wasn’t there for a resort at this level. The one exception was their pizza spot, Pepe’s that was actually really good.

We recently stayed at The Grand, and overall, it was an okay experience. What really made it better was the upgrade we received through Expedia (or possibly the hotel) — that definitely earned it an extra star, so I’m giving it four. To keep it short: the drink options were disappointing — they only had one beer (Dos Equis Light), and the cocktails were very watered down. The restaurants tried, but the food was pretty average at best. They really push the timeshare presentation hard, offering $1,200 in resort credits as an incentive. However, once you’re in, it’s tough to get out — they keep pressuring you even after the presentation ends. On top of that, you can’t use those credits on most excursions, and the ones you can use them on still come with a 16% tax. If you’ve never stayed at an all-inclusive before, this could be a decent intro. But for the price, there are probably better options — and I can only imagine how tough it is to book restaurant reservations through the app during peak season. We stayed in the Governor’s Presidential Suite. Even though half the suite had issues (a bad smell and a non-working Jacuzzi jet), I didn’t bother complaining since the upgrade gave us an extra room anyway. As for activities, we did the Extreme ATV excursion, the dolphin experience (which you can use resort credits for), and the boat trip to Isla Mujeres. The first two were just okay — the boat trip was the highlight. We spent six days there and found the pools at Sunrise bet

The resort is very nice for it age, the staff was attentive...the only complaints we had was the food temperature. Food was good and presentation was on point but food at restaurant/buffet serving temperature was all off...cold food wasn't cold, hot food wasn't hot also a bit under seasoned but that could be to fit all visitors vs minority.
