We enjoyed our stay here; this super cute, quaint motel is right in the middle of everything. ( piers and beaches)They even let you use chairs and boogie boards at no cost. There's a wonderful bakery next door, Bread and Butter, that we went to daily. Would definitely stay here again. Traveled with my two girls 11 and 13.

Very classic motel. Not modern or fancy, just a solid no-frills, clean and awesomely located place to rest. Great parking lot, useful amenities like beach chairs and beach towels available for use in the office. Fantastic location.

Fun neighborhood, lots of places to eat and close to the beach. The office had beach toys and was very accommodating. The room was large, had a fridge and microwave. Air conditioning worked well and the room was cleaned every day. It was great to have free parking.

The room featured a clean, well-maintained shower and bathtub. The locked gate at the street entrance added an extra layer of security, which I appreciated. The motel is within walking distance of the beach. Although the building is older, it has been nicely renovated and felt very secure. I felt completely safe during my stay—the rooms were quiet, and we were not disturbed by our neighbors. I especially enjoyed the spacious room, which included a bath, two queen beds, an armoire with a television, a dining table, and a refrigerator. The manager was very accommodating and even provided a microwave upon request, which made our stay feel even more comfortable. I also noticed extensive security camera coverage throughout the property. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend the Seashore Motel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Santa Monica.

I loved this place! Fabulous old-style motel, right down to the real room keys. Your kids won't even know what these are! Room was large and comfortable; same for the bed and the bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly, offering me a microwave, beach chairs, beach towels. Plenty of parking. Terrific location, two blocks from beach and half block from great Irish pub / restaurant. With the fridge and microwave, table and chairs, and large closet, a couple could easily enjoy an extended stay here. I wish I went to Santa Monica more often so I could stay at the Sea Shore Motel!

We were able to upgrade to a bigger suite for a small fee and were blown away by how spacious the small apartment was: a bedroom with 2 queen beds, full kitchen, dining room, and living room with a massive sectional sleeper sofa, and a lovely, peaceful patio. High ceilings made it feel even bigger. Staff was super friendly and had boogie boards, beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas on hand to lend. Just a couple blocks to a great beach and all kinds of food and entertainment.
We were able to upgrade to a bigger suite for a small fee and were blown away by how spacious the small apartment was: a bedroom with 2 queen beds, full kitchen, dining room, and living room with a massive sectional sleeper sofa, and a lovely, peaceful patio. High ceilings made it feel even bigger. Staff was super friendly and had boogie boards, beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas on hand to lend. Just a couple blocks to a great beach and all kinds of food and entertainment.

The staff allowed us to check in early, which was a big plus, and were all very friendly. Parking was very easy, there were plenty of shops & restaurants in the local area, and it’s so near to the beach (they lend chairs and towels for guests to take down with them). I would say that the property is in a good condition for its age, but the floors inside the room were a bit dirty during our stay.

Absolutely awful. The sheet had blood stains on it, the floor was mopped with dirty water and had ingrained stains on it. The walls were filthy with stains and boogers. So gross. We were supposed to stay there for 12 days but we couldn’t even stay for one night. The staff kept going on and on about that the cleaners have been working there for a long time and refused to take in the fact that it was disgusting. One man in the staff Said ”no its Clean, I know the cleaners”. Who gives a flying f*ck about how long the cleaners been working? Its not Clean?! And obviously both the staff and the cleaners thinks that blood stains and a dirty floor is clean, which makes it even worse. I Will never even consider this motel again.

Dirty. !!! Really dirty. There were chips in the bed. I asked for new sheets and blanket and had to make the bed myself. Horribly uncomfortable bed, noisy, threadbare ripped sheets and towels, and I’m not a large person and the towel didn’t even cover my body. Mould in the bathroom. This place is so shabby and not worth the price. Very disappointing. Would not recommend.

We love this place. It’s charming and spotless with an amazing location. The service is very friendly and there are many additional amenities in the lobby that you can choose to bring back to the room. It’s a gem and we would love to come back.

Not the cleanest place... The towels had stains all over them, the sheets also had stains and someone's hair on them... Wish the management did a better job in making sure that the place is clean... Otherwise great location, close to restaurants, Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier.

We loved our stay at the Sea Shore Motel in early August. We walked to Santa Monica beach and swam - the motel had boogie boards and beach towels. It’s charming and very old, but squeaky clean. The beds were comfy, a/c worked, and it was convenient. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. Thank you!

This is an older motel with older furnishings, but charming and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the linens and whole place smelled fresh and clean. We stayed in a one bedroom, and our 22 year old son slept on a pull-out couch in the living room, which worked fine other than morning light coming in the living room window. Our unit had a kitchen, which we didn't really need for this visit. I noticed it wasn't well supplied (in terms of dishes) for extensive cooking during a long stay, fyi. Our unit also had a nice deck, and we loved the flowers along the walkway to our unit. It turns out we didn't need the free parking, but that is a very nice perk. Great location for our needs and we appreciated the friendly reception!

I love this place! It is such a fun beach place. Its great except the bar across the road, which is not fair for the proprietor. It is a great place if your a partier until 2:30 in the morning. We had a great time except for that.

Loved the man at check in and his dog. The place is kind of retro and cute. Having parking was absolutely key for me. The noise from upstairs was annoying and Saturday night the noise on the street was quite loud.

The location is perfect, quick 5 minute walk to the beach. Air conditioner worked great, no problem there. The parking is excellent, convenient, and very safe. The only problem we had was with the WI-FI , no signal, and the outlets wouldn't work, the only one that charged our phones was the outlet in the bathroom, the girls had to go upstairs on the balcony to get some signal, other than that, the motel is very decent.

This is an old-school motor court with old style hotel room keys. It's actually a pretty cool place and I dig the retro feel. My only real issue is that it's directly across the street from a very hopping youthy nightclub with an outside area that is VERY loud. It might not be that way during the week, but I was there on a Friday night and it was very loud outside until after 1am. I put on the air in the room to cut the noise, but it was there. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and I like that it was free parking.

The biggest advantage of this motel is its location! Just 2 blocks from the Santa Monica beach and on the Main Street lined with shops and restaurants. The motel has a retro feel which is wonderful. It also means that it comes with some disadvantages though. The AC is very loud and the furniture is outdated. The reception provides body boards and beach towels which we welcomes very much, great service!

Upon check in the receptionist was curt, bordering on rude basically taking our credit card from behind a small window, no welcome whatsoever. The room was noisy and worn out. The air con/heater rattled so much that we could not use. We only stayed one night and the best part of the stay was the parking. I would avoid staying here again unless the owners attempt at making the rooms habitable and the staff at least attempt o be welcoming
Upon check in the receptionist was curt, bordering on rude basically taking our credit card from behind a small window, no welcome whatsoever. The room was noisy and worn out. The air con/heater rattled so much that we could not use. We only stayed one night and the best part of the stay was the parking. I would avoid staying here again unless the owners attempt at making the rooms habitable and the staff at least attempt o be welcoming

Night MANAGER had NO problem solving skill. I arrived with bike. He expected me, 75 year old female, to carry Ebike to second floor. Had NO other option. Room was, of course, prepaid. This was ten (10) day bike trip and the first and only time this happened.

The motel is handy for most things in Santa Monica and within easy reach of several bars on the street. Our room was well maintained with the exception of one plug socket. No coffee maker but not a big problem. We would have had a good stay there had the occupants in the next room hadn’t had their TV on for 48hrs solid. The receptionist after the first sleepless night couldn’t care less and I complained again on the second night and was given a key to a different room to get a break but this smelled badly of cigarettes. Without these problems it might have been a reasonable stay but the indifferent almost hostile attitude of the first member of staff made it our one and only stay. They never checked the room so I hope the occupants were actually Ok. Sad as I hate leaving reviews like this. The night manager did try but didn’t check the room which have solved the problem instantly.

The location can’t be beat! I was able to walk the few blocks to the beach first thing each morning. So many coffee and breakfast places so close. Walked to Venice beach in no time one day and the next day walked to Santa Monica Pier. I was able to get to everywhere I wanted to go easily. Plus, it was easier than I thought it would be to drive to Berely Hills and the Lakers game. The staff was so nice and welcoming. I will definitely be staying at the Sea Shore again when I visit LA!

We enjoyed our stay at this unique motel! We chose it because of the short 10-minute walk to the beach. The boogie boards available to us at the front desk were an added bonus! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of dining options in the area. We also loved that there was a farmers market right across the street Sunday morning. Picked up some fresh raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries to munch on for breakfast. There is also a terrific little cafe out front that had great coffee and bakery items. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again!

You won’t find a better deal in Santa Monica. The hotel is clean, conveniently located near the beach and attractions, and offers free parking, which is a big plus. The only downside is that the cleaning staff occasionally entered our room while we were still inside. Although they knocked beforehand, they came in a bit too quickly, which was a bit surprising.

So close to the beach and less than 10 minute walk to Santa Monica Pier. The location is accessible to everything, fast food, gourmet food and goodies. There is activity outside until in the early am, since it’s a popular spot to hang out, but safe.

Great location just a couple of blocks from the beach, 15 minute walk to SM pier. Good looking set-up for this family run place, so on reception was very friendly, room was excellent with all we needed, quiet at night. Back in England now, wish I was there again!

Great location and old fashioned So Cal charm but holy h3||, you want to talk about a raging party directly across from the property and my family’s room of course! Now, it isn’t the property’s doing nor anything they can prevent since it is a venue directly across from them but still a little much. If it were me 20 years ago I would have rated this motel 20 out of 10 due to the adjacent raging frat party on a Saturday evening and the fact that I could stumble to my room. Of course, 20 years ago I couldn’t have afforded this place so it’s a moot point really. Being the family man I am, definitely not my scene thus kegger until the wee hours of the morning was a turn off. HOWEVER, early the next morning the red solo cups and empty prophylactic packages had been swept away giving way to a charming So Cal Farmer’s market complete with a Lion’s Mane mushroom vender, organic produce and freshly laid (unlike the previous nights inhabitants) eggs from the farm! All in all, a good & charming beachy so cal property perfect for the family stay Sun through Thursday evenings and a possible epic stay for the recently divorced father (or thirsty mother) Fri & Sat evening.

We enjoyed our stay here; this super cute, quaint motel is right in the middle of everything. ( piers and beaches)They even let you use chairs and boogie boards at no cost. There's a wonderful bakery next door, Bread and Butter, that we went to daily. Would definitely stay here again. Traveled with my two girls 11 and 13.

Here for just a brief stay for AIDS Lifecycle but glad we found this amazing little place! Very cool beach vibe just outside of old downtown, very walkable and an incredible bakery in front. Will come back!

A great little traditional motel of bygone days. Basic rooms but very clean. There is a great coffee/deli attached to the motel with great coffee and breakfast. A microwave in the room would have been nice. Good air conditioning. Perfect location between Santa Monica Pier and The Venice Boardwalk. Would highly recommend

Small property, old style motel with small rooms. But in good condition with excellent sound proofing. Nice little sundeck. Right in old downtown Santa Monica. Convenient to everything. Don't forget to try the coffeeshop at the front of the hotel! Excellent coffee, great pastries. Lunch stuff too.

I liked its proximity to everything from shopping, a fantastic Italian restaurant across the street and the beach. There was some construction on the street, plus flooding from the rain and there were a couple resident homeless men who made for a little uneasiness but nothing glaring. The bed was comfortable, loved having so many pillows to support my back and leg (both injured) and the space in the room. Loved loved loved the coffee shop! Such a great addition to the motel.

Nice little motel with friendly and helpful front desk staff. great location a few blocks from the wonderful beach - nice part with Perry's beach cafe and bike rental, not crowded and good for children. Lots of restaurants nearby, but a lot close early. Except the most noisy one unfortunately.
