This is a fabulous small and unique boutique hotel in a great location and setting. The plane tree in the square is magnificent. The Cathedral and other main attractions are close, the whole area very walkable. The basement lounge and bar is very well designed, relaxing and a great asset. Great staff!

Great location right in the heart of Bath, minutes away from great cafes, restaurants, shops and The Roman Baths. Very welcoming, friendly staff and our room was extremely lovely, clean and spacious. We loved the honesty bar which was open until 11.30 and was very well stocked! We will definitely book again if we return to Bath.

Perfect location to see Bath, decent sized room, very clean. The room was a hot without the AC running but the AC is really loud and too loud to run during night time. The honest bar was a big plus. Overall a great place and highly recommended!

Everything was almost perfect, location, room clean and well equipped and kind and attentive personnel. Only downside was is the noise from outside and also internal walls are thin so You can hear your neighbours and day and night (ear plugs provided but still can hear loud people throughthe wall). No parking which is obvious due to location and breakfast is 20£ pp

The hotel is right in the centre of bath which makes it a perfect location for exploring all the sights, shops, bars and restaurants wonderful Bath has to offer. The service when we arrived was fantastic and we were very lucky to be treated to an upgrade to our lovely room, spotlessly clean with beautiful decor and some lovely finishing touches. Lovely hotel right in the centre of Bath. We had a lovely room overlooking the Abbey on one side. Very clean and the staff were lovely. My only issue was that because we were in the centre and the windows were old and single paned, the outside noise was very loud. We e were woken up a few times late at night by drunk people on the street outside.

This is hands down the best stay in Bath. The location cannot be beat. It is 2 minutes to Roman Bath and Bath Abbey. It is next door to Sally Lunn’s Eating House and Bath Bun. It faces a very cute court yard with a large English Oak tree in the center. The house/room itself has a lot of Georgian charm. It is spacious, nicely renovated and tastefully decorated.

Very short walking distance from the major Bath attractions. This was extremely practical for us. The staff were also friendly. The bedroom and bathroom were large and beautifully decorated. I just wish the bed was larger (a King size).

The hotel has a fantastic location right in the centre of the city, ideal for visiting Bath. The staff were all friendly and welcoming too. The room was a Superior Double and was fairly spacious and comfortable. However it was noisy, both from the room upstairs (sounded like someone was moving house!) and drunk people leaving bars, which went on until gone 3am. With some better sound proofing the hotel would be ideal!

Lovely stay at Eight. No fault of the hotel but it is very noisy at night. Saturday night students were in the streets until early hours. Sea gulls are very loud in the early hours of the morning. On Monday morning a bin truck came at around 6am and empty thousands of glass bottles from the bottle bank. The location of the hotel is very central and perfect for all the sights in the city, but you will not have a peaceful nights sleep.

We stayed in room 14. It is in the basement. The room was lovely; however, at approximately 5:30 a.m. it sounded like there was a bowling tournament on the floor above us. There is ABSOLUTELY NO insulation between floors. Our desire to sleep became a joke.

Had a great stay, lovely service and I like smaller boutique hotels. We were in room 9 which is a basement room- no problem but we needed to have our blinds down to feel we weren’t being looked in on, not a big issue as we were out a lot of the time but that’s why 4 not 5 stars.

Booked a luxury double, the room and facilities are great HOWEVER the severe lack of soundproofing meant you could hear the room above just moving around. It was like sleeping in a drum and we got very little sleep. We were in the basement so you also heard everyone entering and exiting the building.

Lovely spot, right in the centre of Bath. The room we had was in a different building just round the corner. (A fantastic whisky bar below though and a pub opposite!) It’s right in the square where the Christmas markets are held and it does have a steady stream of passers by especially if you like the window open at night like ourselves this might be a little irritating. We had to be up early so no time for breakfast but I presume it would have been lovely as with the breakfast room it made me want to cancel my morning meeting to enjoy a leisurely breakfast! Nice touch to leave some chocolates in our room as a gift for our anniversary night away. Only feedback would be that the pillow are so soft they don’t really support your head. A firmer pillow I think would be more widely liked by guests and also non feather would be a bit more universal.

Room and hotel were great. And location. What spoilt our trip was the maid took something from our room. After reporting to reception, we did get the item back. The maid created some ridiculous story about why she took it but completely unbelievable.

Staff was great and location was great. The room was great except it lacked any air conditioner and it was very warm and hot especially at night The staff added fans and quick replied to any problems. Beautiful and cozy place in the best part of Bath with the Roman Baths a few minutes away by foot and lots of nice restaurants in the area. No traffic so very quiet. There are no elevator but the staff helped me both up and down with my heavy suitcase, they were generally very friendly and serviceminded. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back if I ever go to Bath again.

Very short walking distance from the major Bath attractions. This was extremely practical for us. The staff were also friendly. The bedroom and bathroom were large and beautifully decorated. I just wish the bed was larger (a King size).

Great location right in the heart of Bath, minutes away from great cafes, restaurants, shops and The Roman Baths. Very welcoming, friendly staff and our room was extremely lovely, clean and spacious. We loved the honesty bar which was open until 11.30 and was very well stocked! We will definitely book again if we return to Bath.

Lovely stay at Eight. No fault of the hotel but it is very noisy at night. Saturday night students were in the streets until early hours. Sea gulls are very loud in the early hours of the morning. On Monday morning a bin truck came at around 6am and empty thousands of glass bottles from the bottle bank. The location of the hotel is very central and perfect for all the sights in the city, but you will not have a peaceful nights sleep.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Bath. We had a lovely room overlooking the Abbey on one side. Very clean and the staff were lovely. My only issue was that because we were in the centre and the windows were old and single paned, the outside noise was very loud. We e were woken up a few times late at night by drunk people on the street outside.

This is hands down the best stay in Bath. The location cannot be beat. It is 2 minutes to Roman Bath and Bath Abbey. It is next door to Sally Lunn’s Eating House and Bath Bun. It faces a very cute court yard with a large English Oak tree in the center. The house/room itself has a lot of Georgian charm. It is spacious, nicely renovated and tastefully decorated.

My stay at Eight was really nice. It is perfectly located at the Center, allowing you to walk, dine, shop at easy distance. There are plenty of attractions in the city, all accessible from this hotel. They have two buildings and I happen to get in the second one far from the restaurant but it is just a few steps away. My room was at the top floor (no elevator) so if you have problems with climbing stairs, just request a more accessible accommodation. They have a honesty bar with drinks and snack, very cute. Breakfas was very delicious, staff was very friendly.

This is a fabulous small and unique boutique hotel in a great location and setting. The plane tree in the square is magnificent. The Cathedral and other main attractions are close, the whole area very walkable. The basement lounge and bar is very well designed, relaxing and a great asset. Great staff!

We had a lovely stay at Eight! It’s a great location and a cool little hotel. However, we were a bit disappointed when the restaurant couldn’t accommodate our party of five for breakfast, insisting on splitting us up even though the restaurant was all but empty. This felt especially surprising after hearing repeatedly how fantastic the breakfast was. Aside from that, it was a pleasant stay.

Fabulous double room with gorgeous free standing bath & tv rising from the foot of the bed. Comfortable bed, squeaky clean bathroom. Big wardrobe with loose hangers (!!) Excellent staff. Didn’t eat in except for good full English with charming service. Central position is perfect for strolling around the central area & all the shops!
