Front desk (3 different shifts) especially Mateo were all wonderful, friendly, helpful and smiley. We really enjoyed the fire pit, games in the lobby, thoughtful tea selection and offerings and well as complimentary waters and granola bars. Outdoor plants and soft music in the gathering space made for a nice evening and morning tea. Alex the manager was wonderful as well.

This was easily the best hotel/motel I've ever stayed at sure to the amazing customer service, the cleanliness, the outdoor space, the rooms and not to mention the laundry room which they provided laundry pods and dryer sheets at! I would recommend this place over and over again!!

Such a cute place to stay for a few days in downtown Redding. I needed a spot that could accommodate my dog and found this gem. Renovated motel that is both modern and retro in a good way. Nice size King room, very clean and appointed with a coffeemaker, fridge and a cute red retro microwave. Large bathroom and shower. Super comfy bed. They have a small gym, complimentary coffee, tea, water and dog treats in the lobby. There is a little dog area in the back for critters to do their business. It’s in the downtown area so you can walk to restaurants and other businesses in the area. I would absolutely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Americana Modern Hotel and it made for a great home base for our travels in and around Redding. From check-in to check-out, the staff were friendly and helpful to us. There are fully stocked coffee, snacks, and water in the lobby at all times. Our only issue was parking on the first night that we stayed at the Americana given that it was such a busy weekend during the Labor Day holiday, but we were able to find a parking spot towards the end of the lot. I would come back and recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Redding.

The staff was so welcoming and helpful! The room was clean and the shower pressure was so strong. Our dogs and cat were made to feel at home here. The parking lot was secure overnight. I would definitely stay here again!

Property manager was amazing, communication was very clear and helpful. The sheets are a little scratchy, and the floors are like a black vinyl, when I walked barefoot with my family on the floor floors, our feet got very black. We did stay in a room that allows pets, however, the floors were too dirty. I would stay here again, stopping through.

Front desk staff nice. For a dog friendly hotel, there was no dog area (all concrete) for dogs to potty (we clean up after) . We’ve stayed in plenty of dog friendly hotels, but sheets were dirty/stained w/hair. Positives: Shower was hot and AC worked great.

Loved the fact there were three beds and all our family could stay together in one room. Unfortunately the floors were disgustingly dirty. We had to wear shoes inside the whole time or our feet turned black from the floors. Which was also unfortunate with white bedsheets. We also found a coffee cup still wrapped up but had someone’s pee left in the cup…. The little things count when caring for each hotel room. Wish the staff would take more time making sure the rooms were ready and clean for the next guest.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Overall rooms are clean although some appear better maintained than others. I stayed twice. First visit not the best, luggage rack next to the wall caused a ton of scuffs and chips in the paint. Multiple cob webs with daddy long legs in the corners by the ceiling. Shower curtain was all loose and flimsy with multiple holes in the wall from trying to anchor it in so many times. The 2nd time (different room) was much better with none of these issues besides some scuffing in the wall. The fact there's such variation between rooms is a little concerning on overall quality. But bed/bathroom/table cleanliness was there during both visits, which is what matters more.

First of all, this is not a hotel. It's a motel. Second of all, it's nicely updated with some of the friendliest people around. Parking felt safe. Hotel felt safe and the beds were comfortable enough. The fridge was super small and pointless for us to even attempt, so that was a bummer. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice. We were surprised this wasn't a hotel with an elevator so we had to make a last minute switch to a bottom floor in a pet friendly room and I'm super allergic to dogs so that was a bummer. We felt a little misled by the word "Hotel" in the name. It's an updated motel but it's still not a hotel (aka no elevator). We also had a ton of noise upstairs from us and had a hard time sleeping but it was a rookie move not to have earplugs in when we went to sleep. Even with the sound machine app on the noise still woke us, so make sure you have earplugs if you are on the bottom floor. Would I stay here again? Maybe. But only if we had earplugs and made the reservation on the bottom floor without a pet friendly room. Oh, also - this isn't a breakfast included type of breakfast and we felt that was also a little false in the advertising. There are granola bars, coffee, and water. No muffins, no bagels, no yogurt - not even a continental breakfast. I thought I recalled it was included but I wouldn't say that it's breakfast. Coffee is included which is great. That's it.

We really liked our stay here. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the water pressure in the shower was awful. That said, they have a large and open shower with benches and one of those flexible nozzles, so it was really nice! We didn't bring them, but they are pet friendly and have a pet album book in the lobby. I love that about them!

A great find in downtown Redding. Very modern vibe with attention to detail. The people manning the front desk were very accommodating and helped us find the perfect place for drinks and for dinner. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable without being worn down. Bathroom was huge and contemporary. Outdoor area was very inviting. It does front a busy street so choose your room carefully.

they did a great job refurbishing what was probably once a dilapidated motel. Room is big, bed was huge and comfortable, the place was cute and stylish. Staff was extremely friendly. But the bathroom lighting sucked. It was way too bright, attached to a motion sensor, that flooded the room with light whenever anyone stepped into it. Fix that and I would give this five stars.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the Americana Modern Motel was. My only complaint was the shower. I stayed 2 nights. First day I took shower, water pressure was ok but water never got very hot. Second day I tried to take a shower but there was no water pressure. Water trickled out and was only luke warm.

We absolutely loved this property. We had been travelling for a couple weeks, multiple hotels and various beds. This property by far was the best hotel. The room is enormous. Enough room for 2 king beds, a table with 4 chairs, a desk with a chair, fridge, closet...and the bathroom was huge. There is even a little area for your pup to do their business. There is not a lot of grassy areas around this hotel, but they have made one, with a little picnic table to sit at while you wait. That's awesome. The whole thing was super comfortable. Lots of food choices if you want to walk to them. With all the one way streets, its a little easier. The staff at the hotel are also amazing and super willing to help you out - what ever your needs are. Heather was awesome helping with our reservations and check in. This place is an 11 of 10 for us.

Absolutely amazing place! Well… the place is great, super clean, beautiful, well designed, very practical etc… it has a nice little courtyard, pretty great parking, extremely well located. BUT… the workers…. EVERYONE OF THEM (and I witnessed many of them working) are AMAZING!! What an incredible experience staying here. I’d give more stars if I could. Oh.. also… very reasonably and fair priced. I’ve stayed in many hotels many many times. This hotel understands what it means to be hospitable!! AWESOME!!

Great place to spend the night for our stop in Redding! The staff texted a couple of times to confirm our arrival and get an ETA. We arrived after 10:30pm and the friendly host helped with a mix up with our reservation. We appreciated the water and granola bars in the lobby. For a quick breakfast, we walked across the street to Downtown Grounds- another great find!

There were three people we interacted with primarily. We arrived Thursday evening, and Tobias checked us in very quickly. He was very professional, and personable as well. The next morning, we decided to stay an extra day because the freeway was closed, and the woman who checked us in again and extended our stay did as good a job as Tobias. That evening, we asked the front desk person, yet a third person, if we could have the fire pit turned on. Without complaint, he went and got some towels from another building to wipe off the chairs with since it had rained, and let the fireplace for us. One last thing, I forgot my gown jacket on the bed in the room. A few days later, I realized, after unpacking that it was nowhere to be found, and I remembered that it was left on the bed. It happened to be Tobias, who received my call on the phone. he located the jacket in lost and found, charged us a minor amount for shipping it to our home, all the while being extremely friendly and professional. They must be doing something right there, because their employees are first rate!

The staff, as always, are friendly, efficient, and willing to help in anyway. The room is “just right” and not overdone. Everything is walkable in the area. I have stayed here quite a few times & have no plans to change that.

The hotel is nicely renovated and very clean . The staff were very welcoming and friendly. In another location, this would rate a 5. But, the pet relief area was very small and not sufficient. The area has homeless people. Sleeping right behind the building, in fact. And the sidewalks were dirty. I felt safe in the hotel, but not do much in the neighborhood!

Incredibly friendly staff. Our room was simple, unfussy and clean and comfortable. It appears Redding is revitalizing its downtown. First of all, this is not a hotel. It's a motel. Second of all, it's nicely updated with some of the friendliest people around. Parking felt safe. Hotel felt safe and the beds were comfortable enough. The fridge was super small and pointless for us to even attempt, so that was a bummer. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice. We were surprised this wasn't a hotel with an elevator so we had to make a last minute switch to a bottom floor in a pet friendly room and I'm super allergic to dogs so that was a bummer. We felt a little misled by the word "Hotel" in the name. It's an updated motel but it's still not a hotel (aka no elevator). We also had a ton of noise upstairs from us and had a hard time sleeping but it was a rookie move not to have earplugs in when we went to sleep. Even with the sound machine app on the noise still woke us, so make sure you have earplugs if you are on the bottom floor. Would I stay here again? Maybe. But only if we had earplugs and made the reservation on the bottom floor without a pet friendly room. Oh, also - this isn't a breakfast included type of breakfast and we felt that was also a little false in the advertising. There are granola bars, coffee, and water. No muffins, no bagels, no yogurt - not even a continental breakfast. I thought I recalled it was included but I wouldn't say that it's breakfast. Coffee is included which is great. That's it.

I really like the retro modern vibe at the Americana. The staff is friendly, they have nice pillows and good towels and fun touches like a red microwave. While there is no included breakfast they recommended a great breakfast place, Deja Vu, that was only two blocks away and was way better than an included breakfast ever was.
