From check in to check out. The entire staff was friendly and kept it professional. Cleanliness was beyond excellent. Parking on both front and back of the hotel. Plenty of activities to do in lobbies: from puzzles, chess, and flat screen tvs. The pool area was fun for the little ones . Stay here, if you're ever in Salida,CO.

This was our second stay in two years, and we will continue to come back. Staff is always helpful and courteous, room was excellent (the family suit) and comfortable for all five of us. Breakfast was great, even though the waffles were out of service. Only problem is that the pool area still has a strong sewage smell, not as bad as last time we were here but still needs attention.

Great rooms, clean and spacious. Pool/hot tub was nice. Not overly chlorinated…hotels are famous for dumping too much chemical when they don’t know what they are doing. All in all we will rebook down the road

I've now stayed her twice this year (2024). The first time our room and other spaces seemed well cleaned, but this time the pool deck was very dirty and clearly had not recently been cleaned and our room seemingly only had the sheets and trash changed out--the bathtub and floor had prior guest's hair obviously left behind, there were only a couple towels, and we kept finding things on the floor with our bare-feet--it clearly had not been vacuumed. We'll be finding somewhere else to crash in Salida from now on and recommend you do to0.

Our room was comfortable, quiet, and large. Staff members were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My kids loved swimming in the pool (even though it was 12 degrees outside). Breakfast was solid and my kids appreciated the waffle toppings. I’m usually less than enthusiastic about hotel breakfasts because I’m on a high protein/low carb diet. They had strong options that left me satiated. I also appreciated that they cleared the snow in the parking lot really quickly.

This property looks great, maybe even remodeled recently. However, when we got to our room, my wife pulled back the comforter only to find hair (pubic) in the sheets. The sheets obviously had not been changed from the last occupant/s. We called the desk, got new keys to the room next door and it seemed fine. I opened the microwave to heat some broth for my wife who just had surgery and was on a liquid diet, and the glass turntable was covered with pizza drippings. The young man at the front desk was nice enough, but didn’t think to offer any remedy when I told him about the dirty microwave or that the toilet was constantly running. We will definitely look for another place to stay next time.

When putting the kiddos to bed we discovered dirty laundry from the previous guests in the bed. Very dissatisfied and disappointing. Front desk said they couldn’t do anything on the weekend because management was not available.

I stay here about once a month, normally its really good. This time it was off the mark. The bathroom toilet seat was dirty and there was black hair in the shower and on a shelf in the bathroom. There was about three sheets of tp left on the roll and no soap in the shower dispenser. The heating unit was not working - the simply was not ready. The checkout lady was also unengaging - i think she was injured so she never got up just asked if I needed a receipt and said thanks didn't ask about my stay or how the room was. Hopefully better next time

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in awhile. No hot water, had a cold shower. No tv remote had to ask for one took 3 before we got it to work. Then from the time we got back to our room until 11 pm and then again at 6 am it sounded kind a pack of wild animals running in circles. So sad since the room was nice great beds a nice sofa bed and chair ottomans but the negative outweighed the positive

I had had total ankle reconstruction and stayed in Salida on my way to Denver. The desk clerk was ver professional and really went the extra mile to accommodate my needs (on crutches) from the room and also the parking.

WHEN WE CAME TO STAY THE FRONT DESK GUY TREATED US AS IF WE WERE BOTHERIG HIM. THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE IN THE LOBBY BUT US, HE WAS ON HIS PHONE OR COMPUTER (NOT SURE). DURING OUR STAY WE ASKED IF HE COULD RECOMMEND OR GIVE US A NAME OF A PLACE TO EAT. HE SAID NO (NO EXPLENATION JUST NO)!!! WE WERE THERE FOR 3 NIGHTS AND DID NOT NEED OUR ROOM CLEANED. HOWEVER,WE DID ASK FOR A EXTRA BAG FOR OUR TRASH. WE HAD ALREADY THREW THE FULL ONE AWAY. HE JUST GAVE A AGGRAVATED SIGH AND HANDED US A BAG SO TINY (I THINK IT WAS FOR THE ICE BUCKET). INSTEAD OF BOTHERING HIM AGAIN WE BOUGHT OUR OWN BAG. WE DID NOT WANT TO BOTHER HIM AGAIN. HOWEVER, DURING THE NIGHT ABOUT 10:-00-11:00 I WENT DOWN TO ASK TO BUY A SODA. HE STATED THEY WERE $5.00 FOR A CAN. I TOLD HIM I DID NOT WANT TO SPEND $5.00 ON A 20 OZ.CAN (HE THEN ROLLED HIS EYES AT ME).I THANKED HIM AND TOLD HIM I WOULD GO ACROSS THE STREET. WE COME TO SALIDA ABOUT 3-4 TIMES A YEAR FOR 3-7 DAY AS A TIME. WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD GREAT SERVICE. WE USUALLY STAY AT A DIFFERENT HOTEL THERE. THIS TIME WE THOUGHT WE WOULD TRY A NW PLACE.WE WON'T BE STAYING AT HYMPTON INN AGAIN THO.

The hotel was really nice. The room with the bunk bed was spacious and worked perfectly with our two kids. It's def in the more run down side of town, but we did enjoy the Mexican restaurant nearby.

Hotel is great location! Room was clean and comfortable. But staff is lacking in hospitality; checkin gentleman was fast but not friendly or welcoming, and there was no one at front desk to check out at 8:30am for at least ten minutes. Breakfast was very disappointing; ran out of 3 coffee urns and hot water at same time, some food choices were empty with bad egg omelets and sausage, no bread for toast.

Our room was fine and the service was good. I found the breakfast a little more bare bones compared with other Hampton Inn. For example, apples were the only fruit and the yogurt selection was limited. But we managed to find enough to eat.
