VIca Guest House Cancun - By Aloja RV

This was my very first time visiting Cancun. Everyone that works here is so friendly. I had arrived at 10 or 11 am - Check in wasn't available until 3 pm but they were able to let me into my room earlier which was so awesome. The room and bathroom are huge and very clean. I had hot water for showers everyday. The balcony was beautiful. I loved to sit out and drink my coffee each morning while the sun rose. This really is an amazing stay. I did not receive a code for the front door, only the front gate. So I had to have the security guard or the housekeeper let me in each day. The security guard was super nice, he had no problem letting me in each day - sometimes multiple times a day. I did try an reach out to the owner or person through WhatsApp, Multiple times, to recieve my code to the front door but never received a reply or code for the front door. It is within walking distance of a couple of convenience stores. They also have complementary coffee in the kitchen. I did not get a chance to use the pool, as I was having dental work done the whole time but it looked very clean and clear. The kitchen and dining room are beautifully decorated. Very welcoming. The Vica Guest house will be where I stay when visiting Cancún in the future. They are all very nice and welcoming.

Es una casa hotel adaptada , está cómoda solo el personal con dudas al recibirnos por ser de la aplicación , la Tele no tenía control y no se podía usar , la alberca bien , flexibles con el horario de uso el personal de la mañana te invita tu cafecito !

Pros: The rooms were possibly better in person than the pictures. Very clean, very comfortable. The pool was lovely. Easily walkable to many restaurants and shopping facilities. Would stay again for these above points. Cons: Entry to the property was not as described. We did not receive any entry codes. Thankfully the housekeepers were on site to let us in. We encounter other people who also had this experience. Contacting the property on WhatsApp was hit or miss. Fresh towels and linens were never provided through our stay >7 days despite requesting.

Pool accessible

I liked that there is a shared kitchen available for use. Stocking it with more dishes, utensils, perhaps a pot or 2, also with paper towels for cleanup would be so much better and much more sanitary than everyone having to use the same dish cloth or sponge. Owner would do well to do a walk through to see what he would need if he were staying there. I can only make recommendations in that area. Housekeepers could do better with replacing towel daily or leaving extras in the shared bathroom downstairs, as well as ensuring "apartment" floors are swept and washed when people check out. They may "look" clean but our floors had sand throughout the main room and bathroom. My husband and I stayed in an upstairs suite that had a very dirty floor that on the first day ruined my white socks, also the room is very musty smelling and I can only assume the rest are the same. I would go to a hotel if ever back in Cancùn. There is parking on the street out front if needed. Casa de los Abuelos is nearby and had good prices, good food and friendly staff. Market 23 is nearby, found it interesting to walk through.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The AC worked well. The bathroom was big, but like other reviewers mentioned, the shower wasn’t warm. It didn’t bother me too much so I didn’t mention it. The pool was refreshing and for the most part only used by me on my two days. The staff were lovely, friendly and patient with my limited Espanol. The only drawback was they didn’t send me the email with the entry code for their ‘digital reception’ which really stressed me out. The day before and day I was flying out, I’d asked for it by contacting them through hotels.com and on their WhatsApp number and didn’t get a reply. The app they suggested downloading wasn’t straight forward and requested sign in details with no registration option, so that didn’t work. It was to be my first accommodation in my Mexico trip and I wouldn’t/didn’t have a sim card/data when i arrived to try and figure things out or contact them once I’d arrived. Thankfully, the ‘digital reception’ was accompanied by a helpful security guard who helped me, but he wasn’t 24/7, so they really need to get better at sending that info out prior to arrival. Location was good for me. 10 mins walk to the big mall and easy access via uber to everywhere else like the ADO and supermarkets.

Need more kitchen cooking utensils pots cutlery toilet paper and pool towels

Good for the money. Stayed Grand room. Solid quality decor, roomy, very clean. Quiet except a little bit neighbor dog barking day and night. Slept well. Friendly helpful staff. Clean little pool. Steve

Keep in mind that this is a hotel only. So literally just a place to sleep. It’s fairly close to Mercado 28 (a huge market) and the hotel district and was clean and quiet. Nice pool in the back and friendly staff, but they don’t speak any English lol. We got by though using translator apps! In other words, GREAT stay for the money!!

Absolutely loved my stay here – it truly felt like a home. The property is spotless, peaceful, and incredibly well-maintained. The staff were not only kind and accommodating but went above and beyond to assist me—especially with directions and anything else I needed during my stay. The facility itself is beautiful, with everything working perfectly—TV, air conditioning, and all other amenities. It's clear that a lot of care and attention goes into maintaining this place. The response time from staff was also impressively fast anytime I had a question or request. One of the things I appreciated most was the quiet and serene atmosphere. It made it so easy to relax and enjoy every moment. I genuinely loved being here and would return. Traveler tips: You’ll need to walk a bit to reach shops and restaurants, so if you're not used to the heat, or walking, I recommend going out early in the morning or late in the afternoon. There’s a convenient OXXO just around the corner for quick snacks and essentials. Do keep in mind that while the place itself is mosquito-free, the city does have quite a few, so bring repellent if you're planning to explore the area.

Faltó limpieza de cada día

Very beautiful kind of spanish inspired property (wood, stone, ceramic) located just a little outside Cancun Centro, in a very quiet street. The Room and the house are very well kept, super clean. Beatiful kitchen and common Areas. I found it difficult to get the arrival instructions, since they were sent to me the day of my arrival, at 3 in the afternoon. The passwords to open the gate and the front door were sent on an application that i am not familiar with, Octorate, so i actually never got them. Fortunately, even if we arrived very late (11pm), the security guard openned the door for us and gave us the codes. Staff was super nice. In my Room, the only thing i can say is that the shower was leaking so we had to take our towels to wipe the Floor. Overall 9/10! I recommand!

No hay quien vigile propiedad ni quien te atencion sodre dudas o reportes en nuestro caso la mayoria de la noche hubo en una habitacion gente en fiesta la musica a todo volumen no dejaban de gritar bailar y gente en alberca hasta la madrugada corrian por escaleras a altas horas de madrugada estuvimos haciendo repirtes por chat y no pasaba nada, no limpian habitacion, no robaron 1 bebida q dejamos en el refri no recomendable para nada

Like some other reviewers commented, this isn’t really a hotel in the sense that you’re not getting turn down service, tidied room every day. After a long flight and travel to the accommodation, I ended up in the wrong room by my own fault, but the care team was kind/helpful and allowed me to stay in that room instead of moving. The room I did stay in, however, has a window that wouldn’t lock, and a bathroom window that could be accessed via a perch outside— luckily, it’s on the second floor and the place was quiet, so there were no issues. OH! And if you’re planning on taking any tourist trips with hotel pickup, plan to walk a short distance to either Hotel Bonampak or Oasis Smart for pickup, because none of the tours accepted VICA Guest House as a separate pickup location.

Everything was great, except there wasn't a hot water available to shower. I had to shower in ice cold water...

Pros: Zona muy tranquila con buena ubicación, habitación amplia, camas muy cómodas, muy buena limpieza, buena relación calidad-precio. Cons: Los códigos de acceso me fueron proporcionados a las 3:18 PM, mismos que por sus normas debieron ser enviados pocos minutos antes de las 3 PM que es la hora de entrada. El personal de recepción no se encontraba en ese momento por lo que la llave de la habitación me fue entregada a más de 30 minutos de haber ingresado de manera automatizada a la propiedad. La persona encargada, con la cual me comuniqué vía telefónica, se enfocó en el problema logrando solucionarlo a través de una tercera persona. Se pudiese evitar ese contratiempo igualmente automatizando la entrada a la habitación. Por lo que respecta a la propiedad, volvería a hospedarme allí. Al contrario, por los fallos en la atención al cliente no lo haria

Intéressant comme concept hôtel, manque de contact humain, panique pour celui qui gère mal les techniques téléphoniques ou ne dispose pas sur le moment internet, il devra attendre durant des heures ou coucher dehors...

Good stay, safe guest house. just need to take a taxi as it’s a bit far from most places to walk.

Lugar seguro y conveniente localización, cerca de varios puntos de CUN. Limpieza, personal, servicios OK. Se tiene una estancia tranquila y el precio es competitivo.

We only stayed for about 8 hours but it was great. Nice, walkable area. Thank you!
