Sleep Inn Durango

Excellent hotel for family. Nice and clean. But Elevator was not working when we visited.

Pool not heated. Jacuzzi not working

Staff were friendly and efficient. Swimming pool water was murky... when I asked about it... it seemed like it is frequently/always like that. Staff said there was a problem with the filter but that pool was clean. Given current health concerns re Covid etc... I could not swim in it. I select hotels for pools as I am a regular swimmer,

Staff were nice. Room was clean to the look, however, hotel had a bad smell throughout including in the room. Elevator was broken, we were notified about 20min to our check in about this. Walls very thin, we could hear everything going on around us, made sleeping difficult.

This was a return trip because we enjoyed our first stay so much last year! Super clean hotel. You can watch the staff deep cleaning high touch areas and it smells like Lysol and Pinesol. The clean freak in me is very grateful for such attention to detail. Rooms are excellent. Great breakfast. Clean, nice pool. Zero complaints. Would stay again!

Desk clerk at night could have been more friendly and offered suggestions. The pool and hot tub needs cleaning. The indoor pool was also very cold. Breakfast staff was very nice and options great

The hotel was up to date. Staff was super friendly. The bathroom had dried bloody boogers on the wall. Mildew in the shower. Dried up hair around the bathroom counter. The doors have an automatic closing mechanism that makes the door slam and wakes up people. You can hear people in the hallway talking, and hear people in their rooms when in the hallway. That’s not much for privacy. I could hear through the room wall every time the person next let out a fart as well. The door to the room has a gap of about and inch. It lets in lots of noise, light, and if some really wanted they could look under it. I did to my own door.

Yes, the room was spotless, and the staff was friendly and very courteous. The breakfast was delicious. The room was very convenient and well organized.

I have stayed in Durango several times. This hotel is conveniently located. The staff has always been friendly. It is nice to stay at a hotel that is super clean and reasonably priced. It is located where you can take a walk with sidewalks and the plus is to the coffee shop just down the street. It checks all the boxes.

VERY clean. Great bed Had everything for a comfortable stay.

Property was well kept and breakfast was well done. Our room could have used more clothing storage. I felt the room was too small for extra dresser/closet area which would have been a bigger issue had we stayed longer.

I was on the 3rd floor, right next to the busy highway and the traffic was terribly noisy. I had a difficult time falling asleep.

The ac unit was so loud!!! No sleep at all. Had to get to the airport for a long day of flying, followed by a two hour drive on no sleep.

Good size room. Clean. But no sofa....... there's room for a sofa which is great. But empty.

The room was very clean! But the heater wasn't working properly and ticked 10-12 times each time it came on throughout the night. The door to the hallway doesn't go to the floor, which allows light and noise to come in. Every time the neighbors went in or out, their door slammed and my wall shook. Then housekeeping knocked on their door several times at 7:30 am and called out "Housekeeping" repeatedly. Then proceeded to make noise cleaning. It was a night of multiple disruptions/little rest. Also, the site is renovating the breakfast area and they don't mention that on the ads for the rooms, even though I made the reservation on 2/4 and construction began on 2/5. A bagged breakfast was offered instead, but it was not healthy (other than a banana).

Bathroom was really nice. Lots of channels to watch

The room and facilities were very nice with the exception of our internet service - very poor - practically non existent. Turned off the WiFi so I could get online.

Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Had a problem with the wifi that they never could fix. Stayed 3 nights and only had internet 1 night and needed to get work done.

The ladies at the front desk could use a little training on customer service. Checked in very late and they weren’t very helpful. The breakfast is so amazingly good! And the room was very clean loved our stay!

Check in is at 3pm. The property was empty and rooms were ready. I arrived at 2:39pm and was told that I cannot check in until 3pm. I sat in the lobby watching the girl working play with the pens in the drawer and take a brief phone call. I finally asked why I can’t check in it’s now 2:51pm. After asking about cancelling my reservation, she then asked me what my name was and the proceeded to check me in. What a was of time!!

Front end clerk checked us in under another persons reservation that was only staying 1 day whereas our reservation was for 2 days. The other person was a no show but our reservation became a no show and our 2nd say was canceled. When we returned after a long day in Durango, we found we were locked out of our room. After producing our reservation conformation we were told we canceled the 2nd day. 15 minutes of debate and being told by one of the clerks that they didn’t make mistakes, we were granted access back to our room. Then 15 more minutes went by and the front desk needed me to come by again with my credit card and ID that they already had. Even though payment was made in full to Expedia, they wanted to post $50 incidental hold once again after they had already done that the day before under a Customer with the last name Morris. Not my last name. Finally after talking to Expedia and straightening the entire situation we were granted our 2nd already paid night. Upon check out, I spoke to the manager and only at that time was I granted an apology. Never got an explanation for what happened but the manager said a mistake had occurred.

When I presented my I'd at checkin, the woman checking me in looked at it, and said "oh she's from (place where I live)" to the man sitting next to her. When I questioned why she said that, I was told that they don't like renting rooms to locals and was asked what my reason for staying was.

We were traveling during July 4th holiday weekend and since we hadn't planned to be in the area - we were grateful to find this newer hotel had rooms available with pricing that wouldn't break the budget. However, you do get what you pay for sometimes. The front desk junior staff still have a long ways to go with learning the ropes for the hospitality business. Would recommend the senior management take some time and make sure to impress upon them the importance of a first impression. Know your area, the current happenings and don't look like you just rolled out of bed. On the positive side, the hot-tub and shower were great and the bed was comfortable & quiet enough at night for us to get a good night's sleep. Can't recommend the on-site breakfast, but the coffee was good. If you are staying as part of the "Sleep Inn" portion, make sure to bring cash or your credit card if you decide to purchase anything from the quickie mart area. They do not allow you to charge it to your room. That is only supported for the "Mainstay" accommodations. It's a bit of a weird rule, but then if you get into the elevator you'll notice the "H" in "help" is actually an upside down "4" so it feels like they're not trying to cater to premium clients.

The Sleep Inn was completely fine as a place to stay. However, if you do not have a car getting a meal can be challenging. While delivery services are available from area restaurants, it would be good if some recommendations were available. I ordered a salad from a nearby restaurant which was just awful.

It was easy checking in and the room was clean and comfortable. Great location and easy access. Felt very safe.

The property is new and very clean and comfortable. The manager on duty at our check-in was very helpful and did her best to meet our lodging needs. We appreciated the proximity to the Los Animas River Trail.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was the usual fare. The hotel was quiet and in a safe area, just a short drive into town. Shower pressure could be better but it was to be expected. We would stay again

Clean and quiet property. Walking trail that runs along a river is right around the corner and a lovely gourmet market is across the street. Great stay!

Very clean rooms and nice staff. They had bacon and eggs along with the waffle maker and other continental breakfast. 24/7 hot tea/coffee and free razors/toothbrush/paste at the front desk. Pool was cold, but they have a nice hot tub.

We were very happy with our stay. The hotel and rooms were so nice and clean and the breakfasts were very nice. We will stay here again if we come back to Durango.

Room was very clean. Plenty of towels and soaps. Staff pleasant and courteous. Bacon on breakfast buffet was way too thin! Coffee was very good.
