The property was very secluded and clean. Away from traffic.

The hotel staff was very knowledgeable about the area, places to dine and giving directions as well as recommendations. The rooms were clean and very spacious and updated. The showers were nice and the bed was comfortable unlike some places I’ve visited. The water pressure in the sink area was really low. One of the two elevators stopped working during our stay. Luckily it was the off season and it didn’t create much of an inconvenience. It was quickly fixed within a day. The front office manager Paris Bradshaw always greeted us with a smile. She was very polite and engaging. I would definitely stay here again.

Water flow in the sink was barely a trickle. The outside areas are not maintained well. Needs updating.

I truly enjoyed my stay. The atmosphere was awesome, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, parking was excellent and I will return.

Hotel was nice good breakfast each morning however coffee was not hot . We stayed for 3 days 3 nights. Room was clean and comfortable. Pool was clean. Nearby to mini golf course and good diner to eat at each day (walking distance).

Beautiful property, breakfast was great and also they will give you laundry detergent if you need to wash your clothes. No need to go out and buy it. Loved it definitely staying again when we go back to the beach.

The side door had to be pushed shut because it was hanging down and scraping the concrete.

I booked before reading reviews. I am here to say we had a great stay! We were greeted as soon as we stepped in the lobby. Quick check in. Our room was ready. It was spacious and clean. We had a delicious breakfast every morning. I am gluten intolerant and they had individual wrapped UDIS blueberry muffins and oat milk for coffee. I was so happy! The pool area was nice and I enjoyed the lounge chairs after a quick dip. The hotel was quiet and parking was never an issue. It was a close drive to all the restaurants,shopping and beach. My family and I would definitely return.

Overall a great place. Only a couple of wee issues to watch out for: 1) there is no ice machine on the 3rd floor. 2) the shower takes a LONG time to heat up. Small issues, really. The bed is crazy comfortable, the room perfectly clean and the staff super nice. My husband and I were in town to meet with a contractor and the staff opened up a meeting room for us to use during our meeting. Breakfast was good too. Fluffy eggs, savory sausage and bottomless coffee. Plus pastries, waffles, fruit, yogurt, milk, and more. I’ll stay here again. Really delightful!

The carpets and furniture (couches) weren’t very clean.

There are huge vats of some kind behind the hotel which gives off a bad order. You can sometimes smell it in your room if you are on that side of the building. Mostly odd numbered rooms.

Staff was very nice and the hotel was very very clean!

My room was like you are sleeping in a portable toilet that’s how much it was smelling. I went and got the air freshener for the room and had to Sleep with the air conditioning off because when you open the AC it was worst. Please do something about that.

Yuck!! We found a very large cockroach on our floor shortly after check in. They gave us a new room…no roach in that room but peanut crumbs on the floor inside the room and near the entry room. The whole area smells from the sewage plant directly behind the hotel! The front desk employee didn’t seem alarmed with a roach. There are many other choices on the island!! I don’t usually complain but this was my worst Hotel experience!!!

VERY CLEAN

Place is not clean at all. Bed overs had stains. Additional toilet paper was not available. By the time we went for breakfast at 8:15, many items including coffee was out and no one there to refill it. This place doesn’t meet Marrriott’s standards

Took water to get warm 5 minutes. It was only a trickle when it came out of shower. We called about the problem with the trickle and they said that’s just the way it is. Literally a trickle. Piece of candy on floor when we got there and after room cleaned it was still there. Not sure room was even cleaned. Will never stay there again. EVER

Terrible stay. 4th (top) floor, no water pressure (a trickle both shower and sink (and I mean a “trickle”!). Took 20 min for water to go from cold to tepid. Breakfast buffet “looked” good. But everything was stale, overcooked. D not worth eating. Sadly, Marriott is known for food services, but they skipped over this facility.

Nice hotel but would never stay again as the water pressure is non-existent. Not enough water to even brush your teeth or wash your hands. Asked front desk lady about the issue and she said it's that way to prevent water from splashing over the edge od the counter top sink. SMH.

Very nice room layout. Modern well thought out. They just need to address water pressure issues and time it takes to obtain hot water. (5 minutes every time).

I like the room, the bathroom, conveneice of ice and elevators...i like real cocktail glasses individually wrapped instead just there on the counter. The slidable frosted bathroom is inconveniate b/c it awakes the other party if you go to the bathroom in the night. Nice updated look but not practiable!

The hotel room was nice, clean, and spacious. One drawback is that the bathroom door is partially made of frosted glass so if someone turns on the light in the bathroom during the night or early morning, the light shines brightly around the sleeping area. Otherwise, the room was very nice.

The rooms are designed terribly. If a person uses the bathroom in the middle of the night, the bed(s) are bathed in light because the door is glass. Terrible.

I have never seen so much useless plastic at a breakfast in a hotel. Everything individually wrapped pointlessly. Enraging. There was no way to avoid using it. The food itself was bad quality -- stale granola to go on top of yogurt, stale muffins, eggs from powder and rock hard some days. They could save money and do SO MUCH BETTER.

Nice room, great staff… but very poor water pressure with a lack of hot water. Front desk told me to run the shower for 10-15 minutes before taking the shower to get it hot enough. Even then, it was slightly better than Luke warm.

Staff is very rude

The staff was great and the breakfast option was good as well

When we pulled up there were no lights on the walkways or parking around the building. The front desk staff was not present at time of arrival and there was no way to call. I had to yell hello to get someones attention who walked out annoyed that they had to check me in. When that was over we went to go up to the room to find that it was 2 queens versus the king we booked. I booked through the third party, but front desk said the reservation was queens not king. I called expedia who said they have everything as king. They tried calling the desk but they didn't answer. I ended up keeping what they gave me since it was a 1 night stay and had my husband park our car near the other hotel on the other end of the lot since it had light and seemed safer. He also confirmed thos was ok with the front desk staff who again was annoyed she had to get off her cell phone to assist.

The front staff was clueless on anything going on in town and transportation . They used personal cell phones while working

First let me say, I read many of the prior reviews about the property. I believe reviews are good ways to help the client and businesses. I am writing my review on my expectations and experiences having stayed in 5 star and much lower properties. Upon check-in we were greeted by John F., on the 3-11 shift. John was “southern hospitality!” He really made us feel welcomed and gave us beach suggestions along with restaurants based on our taste. One was Hudson’s on the Dock. Great choice! When we entered the building and the third floor the fragrance was clean smelling and not strong. We were only able to smell the treatment plant outside. Our room was clean and modern. The clean staff was pleasant when asking for towels and other items. The morning breakfast was good, and had a variety of options and we were able to find ample options to start the day. Bottled water was provided every morning. I watched the children enjoy their breakfast daily. Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Valeria were friendly and attentive to make sure items were replenished and areas cleaned quickly. All the staff were friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend and return again. This is what I expect from the Marriott name.

The staff was amazing, polite, personable and attentive, especially the assistant General Manager. If we needed help he was quick and responsive and very apologetic. Best service I have had at any hotel and in a number of years. He restored my believe that people cared that customer service is still attainable. Thank you to you and your staff from me and family.

Great location minutes from all beaches

Absolutely enjoyed. My daughter and I were close to EVERYTHING. Literally!

Easy access to shopping and restaurants

Very nice hotel, great value. Rooms are nice and look updated. Breakfast OK. There is a water treatment facility behind the hotel which, at times, was a bit smelly.

Hotel is clean and nice. Staffs are pleasant. It is close to Coligny beach park and plaza. We did not have any difficulties to make frequent trip to beach and back.

Not the Springhill Marriott experience we are used to. Hotel is next to a water treatment facility, and the smell is in the air as well as in the hotel. Staff was very friendly, but, very hard to relax when you’re smelling sewage morning till night.

Nice newer hotel. Breakfast was better than most hotels. We walked a block to The Hilton Head Diner for dinner. Food was good and reasonably priced. Room was clean and very roomy with a very large bathroom. I would highly recommend this hotel.
