We loved our stay at the Hilton Liberty Place in Charleston! I almost don't want to share how nice our accommodations were in fear that the next time we go to book here that the rates will increase or there will be no availability. Such an awesome "at home" feeling. If there was one "con" it would be that there's no pool - but we knew that before we booked, so no really a problem for us on this trip. Definitely "thumbs up" property!

The room was an awesome setup and very comfortable. Unfortunately they had no onsite bar or restaurant while we were there, making it necessary to leave the area to get food and drinks. A lot are within walking distance, but it is very hot in Charlston in July.

Pro & Cons: Pros: Beautiful property, with luxurious hotel suites that offer a full kitchen with high end appliances, coffee machine, and lots of storage space. Bathroom: Luxurious bathroom, large walk-in rain head shower, heated towel rack & heated toilet seat. Location: The property is within walking distance to both Meeting and King Street, with many restaurant & bars. Cons: (No public parking)Parking is Valet only, costing a flat $45.00 per day, in addition to tipping the valet guys. Even after providing a decent tip to the valet guys, We received an automated text message which stated: " Your valet is hustling for your car, make sure you tip". Cons: Below our balcony was a beautiful memorial water fall fountain. The fountain was dry without water, had lights that continuously blinked red and green. It would have been nice to actually hear the relaxing sounds of the waterfall. Overall: Beautiful property, Tina at front desk was awesome. Bartenders were awesome!

It is a beautiful hotel located on east bay and is about a 10-15 minute walk to the market and king and meeting street. It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle. Valet was prompt and polite Front desk staff Rashida was so kind personable and friendly!! She deserves a raise! We will definitely visit again. Nice gym as well. The bar was closed when we got back from a show at Charleston music hall so did not get to try that. Wonderful time with my spouse

It would have been nice to have our room cleaned, the second day they did not come until 4pm. We had just got home- gone all day. The cafe should always have muffins or pastries stocked first thing in the morning .. they had nothing, they had no sausages left and I was their at 9 am ..

Property is very nice and clean. Rooms are spacious, bed was comfortable, very updated inside the room with all the lights and shades handled with electronics. Staff was very friendly and willing to help with whatever you need. The hotel is going to be about an extra 5 minutes walk past most of the traditional downtown hotels (figure about 15 minutes to get the market) but still in a safe area. Only downside is the price of the parking and valet being your only option. I would stay there again

Liked: Quiet, close to Gaillard Center, close to shopping/restaurants, clean, safe, beautiful hotel, room was nice and comfortable. Issues/Concerns: Multiple, huge cockroaches on the balcony at night. It was reported but maintenance said they did not have spray. The roaches were back the second night so we couldn’t enjoy/relax on the balcony and this was on the 4th floor. The bidet did not work. It was reported and maintenance came by. He was very friendly and explained how the remote worked. That did not fix it because the water would not spray at all. Oddly, the hotel does not offer breakfast or drinks/snacks to purchase. We have never been to a hotel that did not have these available so we did not purchase anything beforehand to bring to the room. We were told the hotel only offers water. For the price to stay, you would think there would be more than water available.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a balcony. Unfortunately, it was raining when we were here. Otherwise, the balcony would’ve been magnificent. The room was well appointed, everything was in immaculate condition, and it had a lot of fun technology extras. My husband is a sucker for a lot of lighting options. There were dimmer switches, and lots of different mood lighting options. I know it’s silly but we thought it was awesome that they were two different types of ice stocked in the freezer. Large cubes perfect for his scotch and, regular ice cubes. The kitchen appliances looked like they’d never been used. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Room was spacious and well appointed. We had a suite with a kitchen and refrigerator which was perfect for our family. The location was excellent! We were able to walk to the aquarium, restaurants, shopping and the waterfront. Staff were amazing and the hotel bar was outstanding. Would recommend and would stay here again.

We loved this hotel! It offered amenities we don't have at home, such as a warm toilet seat, bidet, motorized large sheers and blackout drapes, and a TV in the bathroom mirror. It also had a top quality bed and bedding, amazing bathroom finishes, and a large walk-in shower with 3 different shower heads. The entire suite was very spacious, with solid wood doors to keep noise at a minimum throughout. It was nicely decorated with dimmers on almost all lighting to give it a warm, inviting feel. This is a world class room without a pretentious attitude.

Room was great, very comfortable furniture, staff was friendly. Great walkable area, close to downtown restaurants and shopping. Only things we didn’t like were no self parking- Valet only at 45 dollars/day, then having to tip every single time you do want to take your vehicle, and over eagerness to sell us a time share- multiple calls to room and a flyer on our door every time we came back for the day. Overall we’d stay again.

This property left ALOT to be desired! The room was beautiful. The property offered zero food and beverage as was advertised and never let the guests who booked know. An email should have gone out stating that there is no F&B before someone checks in. This was a huge inconvenience as there is nothing near the property except a grocery store three blocks away. Not having the courtesy to let the booked guests know is unacceptable. I would have never stayed here and spent over $2000 for zero F&B. There was not even a coffee in the morning in the lobby. On my floor, there was a horrendous stench as soon as the elevators opened for three days. No mention of what this was. I was working remotely for much of my stay and so I choose not to have daily housekeeping the first two days. When I asked the front desk to have someone come through and just make the bed and empty the trash and the front desk said that I could not "schedule" housekeeping. I said that I am going out for a few hours and just thought that this would be a good time for someone to come in for 5 minutes. I do not recommend this hotel and will certainly never stay here again. Also, it's a 15-minute walk to anything. And certainly do not turn left out of the hotel as it is a terrible neighborhood.

We really enjoy staying at this hotel for many reasons, one being how clean and quiet it is! It is a bit of a walk for any one that doesn’t know Charleston well. Although the aquarium is across the street so that is nice if staying with kids. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if it’s your first time visiting the city. The cafe/coffee place on the ground floor is no longer open as well as the cocktail bar which is a real set back for convenience to grab a quick cup of coffee or to start or end your evening with a drink down at the bar. But overall, this hotel is great and would stay again.

Absolutely amazing facility and staff. My wife and I arrived and was greeted by Michael. Michael texted me asking if we needed anything, checked in on us daily and honestly rolled out the red carpet. I would rate our stay an 11 out of 10! No really it was amazing.
