Culver City Hostel

Nice place to stay, quiet & clean....the only thing I could perhaps expect is an electrical outlet in the shower or restrooms so folks could shave.....but over all I will definately go back...

Great lil out door area to relax

The rooftop patio is really nice. So is the kitchen as a place to make morning coffee. Showers were hot and good. And the ladies are a had a fun solarium where the sun shines thru the privacy glass blocks. Nice afternoon sun. Btw the property used to be a massage or PT business and that explains the layout

My room was clean and neat with two fresh towels greeting me on the bed. The showers were clean. The bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was clean. Staff and people were very nice and friendly.

The quickest, easiest check-in that I have ever experienced! Codes unlocked both the front door and room doors. The room was well-lit and everything was clean. The common were clean and comfortable.

Needed a place to rest my head in the evening while spending the day with friends, attending events, it was comfortable, spacious and provides a community vibe.

The property was in great condition with awesome utilities and a clean room and bathroom.

The owners were super friendly and accommodating to us. It’s located in a good spot of town and very walkable. The rooms, bathrooms, and showers were all very clean and well maintained. Definitely recommend this place and I’ll be using when I come back to visit.

First time in a hostel and it was better than expected; simple furnishings and small room, with shared (gender specific) bathroom. Steep flight of stairs to enter off street. Owner gave great video intro before arriving, to know how to access hostel. The main difficulty was street activity, since it is on a busy street, but it was fine the second night. There was no air conditioning, but a fan was provided, which helped since I wanted to close the window because of noise. Some rooms didn’t have windows, which is against fire code in my area, so ask for a room with a window if you want one. The kitchen is spacious and you can have use of the refrigerator and mark your food, which was very helpful. Overall a good place and easily accessible to Culver City Bus which is our go to when in the area, and now that the LAX Metro Connector is open, super easy to get around and navigate LA without a car.

At my arrival I found my room unclean with trash basket full, pillow out of place and linen full of hair wwith no one to speak to or request room to be made...I took pictures to support the arguments...very bad experience, Ive stayed there before but it seems as if the service is just getting worst. Im never to return despite their discent rates. I rather pay a higher rate

The staff was very nice and eager to help. But we had blood on the room wall, not a lot but still enough to notice it. And the room had a strong smell like some mint oil or something similar. The area did not feel safe. But I really want to appreciate the nice staff and that the bed sheets and towels were pretty clean. While the toilets were not so clean.

Besides the bathroom being unclean, here are some things I am disappointed with - my food which was correctly and properly labeled was eaten by someone and the conditions of the fridge were unhygienic and disgusting (rotten vegetables, chicken drumsticks in the open and even a dead fly). There was also a trespassing incident which made me fear for my safety. I wouldn't recommend even my worst enemy to stay in this place.

Very convenient and clean! Great customer service!

Convenient to interstate and local restaurants and where we needed to go. Clean and organized. Other guests were respectful and it was easy to check in and find our room. Next time will request not to be next to the community bathroom. The walls are a bit thin heard one guy with a terrible snore all night. Overall not a bad place to lay our heads for a couple of nights. To take care of business and then head home!

The place looks very clean but the room was too cold and the floor gets dirty easy because is not a ceramic or wood material.

Really noisy super hot in the rooms no AC

I booked for a large twin bed room that appeared in the picture I chose but was given a windowless very small room with almost no space to move around. Worst room I have ever booked in my entire life. I called the manager but he said he could not do anything about it as we booked through a 3rd party. Unbelievable.

It was fine, no windows is akin to a jail cell but can’t expect too much from a hostel

So, I read reviews and looked at the photos before booking. I was actually quite excited for this place to be great! It was not what I expected. When you walk in, it looks very nice. We got into our room, it was hot and small. The walls were either dirty or not painted very well. My boyfriend went to the bathroom and ge said there were no shower curtains and people didnt know how to flush (nit really the property's fault) The staff were nice and refunded our stay besded the first day which is understandable.

This was a closet rented out with no window or air conditioning. It looked nothing like the picture in the ad with the TV and a larger bed. This was a nightmare. I have reported fraud alert to Expedia and to the bank. I demand a refund.

This property is conveniently located the bus is near by and there are a lot of shops and restaurants. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Dustin the General Manager is very helpful, responsive right away and accommodating and understanding . Mauricio one of the housekeepers is bilingual Spanish and English was very helpful, kind, and went above and beyond if I needed something. The staff in this place is very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. The prices are very reasonable for the location. I would definitely stay again if I am in the area. Best regards, Diana V.

Very clean, amazing quiet close to everything very easy access definitely would recommend anybody to stay there. I definitely will again.

I was pleasantly surprised! I needed a place to stay in a pinch because I was too tired to drive home. The property was exactly as described in their listing. It was very clean and quiet and had everything I needed! Will stay there again for sure. The neighborhood is a little bit sketchy, but tolerable. I felt safe inside the hostel for sure but definitely didn’t leave valuables in my car which was parked on the street.

I liked the private rooms with door locks. Great neighborhood with plenty to choose from. The steakhouse next door is top notch. Well done.

My stay at Culver City was good! I did not keep my hopes up high so i will not be disappointed tbh because most of the hostels are not that good from my previous other hostel experiences but this time, I can say the hostel Culver City Hostel did good. 😉 Considering the pay i paid (not expensive), safe ( the room door and main hostel door are securely locked, security is good ( there are staffs who are in the other room i believe there are also there all night, there surveilance cameras which is good as well) i got a good bed (I checked the mattress and bed frame and did not see any bed bugs which is very good), quiet, clean, well ventilated ( though there was no window in the room i stayed) , There are some restaurants to dine in ( I really enjoyed the Vietnamese, Thai and Mediterranean restaurants downstairs of the hostel which are really good. I did not bring my car coz i fly out from Vegas but i believe the parking is at the back of the building where restaurant customers also park. Overall rate experience, 3.7 out of 5 ( Five is the highest and 1 is the lowest)

this place is great! i stayed for a couple of days and throughout my stay i had no problems or issues. as soon as i walked in i was greeted with the smell of cleanliness, the place was very organized as well and there was so much natural lighting which to me made the place feel more like home and overall welcoming. another thing i really love about this place is the security, wherever i stay at i always want to feel safe within my surroundings and just simply throughout mg whole stay and i did! my room was also very clean and it had a sufficient amount of storage for all my belongings, the bed was also extremely comfy. the bathrooms where always very clean and smelled nice all the time but they were a little bit small for my liking though. the showers are very nice too, enough room to move around, storage for your toiletries and the water pressure is great! the housekeepers were very nice and always had a smile on them, they kept the whole place very clean. another thing i loved about this stay is that there are several restaurants within walking distance and even a massage spa in front of the place. overall i genuinely enjoyed my experience here and would definitely come back again.
