Beach was not good at all... full of cement and seaweed... pool was nice and so were employees

Loved the property! The pool makes up for the lack of swimming in the ocean.

I loved everything about my stay at Margaritaville Beach Resort Cap Cana Hammock. The staff was professional, they made sure my stay was safe and enjoyable. The food was superb, the beach and the pool side was relaxing. The night life was fun, I really enjoyed the live music and entertainment. The gym was clean and was open 24 hrs. I look forward to my return at the Margaritaville Beach Resort Cap Cana Hammock.

The grounds and pools were very well taken care of. The beach was a 0 star. Rocky, seaweed, distance to get to, no service. Basically could not use.

Everything was excellent...the staff, very professional and friendly.... rooms, very clean and comfortable... food was great, especially the buffet...pools were very diverse, beautiful, clean and the pool staff was fantastic. The only disappointment was the beach, hopefully it will be finished before our next trip

It was a very clean and nice property. If your going for a beach unfortunately there is no beach here. The food and drinks are great but bars close early only one stays open till 1. Pools are good and the staff is great

The resort itself is the best one I’ve ever stayed at. Brand new, really clean resort. I love the bracelet keys as you are never forgetting your room card this way. The buffet is good but the restaurants make up for what the buffet is lacking and the food there is pretty good. Service and the bartenders were amazing. Love the 24/7 room service. Only thing lacking is the beach and how you can’t swim in it. Everything else is 10/10

This resort was too close to perfect in my eyes. The beach was the only reason I gave it 4/5 stars. However, the room, the resort, the service, the food, the amenities, the drinks, everything else was PERFECT! We stayed in the swim up villa on the all adults side and it did not disappoint. The room was very spacious and so was the pool. It felt like we had a private pool to ourselves because of how much space we had. Alvaro serviced us and he was great. He took care of all of our reservations to the restaurants and accommodations for the spa (the spa was a 10/10 and the steak house was better than some of the steak houses we been to at home!!) It truly was a lovely stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back! I even left my camera and they returned it to me without a problem! I am a happy girl!!!

For an all inclusive resort the food was mediocre, even at the specialty restaurants. Drinks were great and strong when you wanted them to to be. The entertainment calendar could of had more diversity and from my room standing point which was located Infront of the entertainment village and the theatre the sound level could be lower for those who go to resorts to relax. my biggest complaint was that at times when i wanted to relax in my room i could not due to the resident singer or music playing until 11pm. The resort grounds were clean, well manicured, staff friendly, room size was great and very comfortable beds, friendly staff all around.

The property is modern and updated. The staff is pleasant and welcoming! Pool side is spacious and inviting.

It’s a very clean hotel however the beach is non existent and dirty, you have to walk to another area which isn’t even part of the hotel to go to the beach. The service left a lot to be desired. The check in and room cleanliness were the best part of the stay

There was a roach coming in my room the 2nd day stay

Beautiful room that was up to date and enjoyed the tropical scented soap/lotion/shampoo. Loved the spa, especially the complimentary hydrotherapy with services. Lots of food options and pleasantly surprised with vegetarian options available at every meal and restaurant. Compact layout made it quick and easy to get around the resort. The vibe of this resort was very chill, compared to other resorts I have stayed that were focused on entertainment and luxury. Great for a quick and affordable friends weekend or couples getaway. Staff was friendly and helpful. Slightly more attention to detail in cleaning the room would have made this a 5-star review. Beachfront was much smaller than expected. There was too much seaweed even though the workers diligently worked at removing it daily so we did not get in the water in front of the resort. There were several adjoining resorts and felt safe to walk along beachfront to find a place with minimal seaweed to swim.

Resort was clean and immaculate! Honestly one of the most well kept clean resorts we\'ve stayed at. But there were so any things that could be better. Customer service is lacking......One of the most noticeable things is that most workers will not greet or acknowledge you when you walk by. We stayed in the 2nd floor villa (private pool) the room was beautiful and clean but the private pool was dirty , they did empty the water after complaining for 2 days, clean it and filled it back up. With the villa categories, you have a "butler". I would say butler would be a stretch considering he called 3 out of 5 days and all that was needed was ice (there is not an ice machine in the villas) The most frustrating part, if you travel on the weekends is the amount of locals that stay in the resort. Staff caters to them more so than anyone else. Any"adults only"restaurant is either closed or not open during the weekday. The dinner buffet is not open on weekdays, only weekends. The beach is unusable due to the amount of rock so if you think you can spend a day at the beach, think again! Also beware of the amount of glass in the sand, Takes 10 minutes to get in the water and a lot of work to get out. Not worth going if you enjoy the beach or want a vacation without screaming kids. property is very close to the airport but with that being said you\'re probably better off finding something a little further with a good beach. Food was not great, very little to choose from if you have allergies.

Our 8 night stay at Margaritaville was fantastic. Our room was large,clean and comfortable. The food exceeded our expectations. The bartenders at the swimup bar in main pool were great and kept the drinks rolling each day. Highlights for us were the beerchugging contest on Tuesday and Margarita sipping contest on Saturday. They offer options to upgrade entrees and alcohol but the included items were just fine for us. There were several excursions offered but we chose to remain at the resort. They have activities each day and night which were fun.We would recommend staying here without hesitation. All staff were helpful and friendly.

This property had great technology in the room and was very clean throughout. Although the internet connection was slow throughout the property. The app they had you use for everything wasn't the best for information. We were also disappointed with the premium drink selection that was advertised and the fact that drinks were mixed with syrup instead of fresh juice. The concierge wasn't anything but a person to get you to their sales pitch for a travel program. He did nothing more than con us to see a presentation. We also did wish to have more Jimmy Buffet music playing around the property, it was very rarely heard. Overall we did enjoy our stay and would choose a Margaritaville property again.

It is not adults only! Only certain areas are adult only. Our first room the ac wasn’t working, we had to pack everything up to move. There was a roach in my sink and in the shower the next day. Probably won’t be back.

Villa room was great

Beautiful beach with lots of chairs and cabanas. Resort was not too busy early in the week but more busy over the weekend. Had some problems with fridge in room which they tried to fix. Rooms were as shown , and I felt that the photos were a true representation of the resort. Good food and drink selections.

Our stay at Margaritaville Cap-Cana was not bad by all means. Things to expect tho, it is an open smoke facility, the beach is not swimmable and needs complete re-working, the swim up rooms smell like mildew. However, there were really great things about this resort as well! Staff was friendly, the food was pretty good, the pools were fairly clean, and the bars were great and hospitable. The entertainment was probably the best I’ve seen at a report before.

I hated the shower/bathroom because the shower does not have a door. So, when you shower, the water floods the bathroom floor making the use of the room a complete disaster. In order to mitigate this inconvenience, we had to spread lots of towels on the floor to soak up the water and make it a bit safer to walk in and out of the bathroom. The loitering in the toilet are is ridiculous. Too dark. Fix these issues. Just add a door to the shower room and light up the toilet room. It should not cost you too much money. Also, your DJ sucks. Fire him.

This property was amazing! We celebrated our 10 year anniversary and it was so refreshing. I would have gave it a 5 star but the toilet in our room needed a seat that actually fits the toilet and the toilet didn’t flush properly. Also, when we ate at the Italian restaurant everything was perfect besides the two cats they allowed to run around (I’m scared of cats). We stayed at the villas and had a swim-up pool, personal butler, and our bartender Manny was amazing! We had an outdoor shower that was one of the highlights of our trip. This resort is definitely a must try!

The property promotes ADULTS ONLY, this is NOT true, they have a family side and adult side for swimming only. Everywhere else on the grounds there are kids running around everywhere. They have a main bar in the adult only section that they have entertainment at night and kids are running around at the bar, ridiculous. Our group left our kids at home for an all adult experience, didn't happen! They also harass you to take the time share tour, which none of us were interested in. When we made that clear, we were treated like we were 3rd class citizens, when in fact we paid over $2K for a 4 night stay. We made reservations for dinner at 630pm on Friday night, due to us not taking the tour, not being what they call at Prestige member, we were not seated for our 630pm confirmed dinner reservation until 925pm, that only happened after one person in our group would not allow the treatment we were getting to happen I gave up and was finished after 715pm. If you are looking for an all-inclusive adults only experience to relax and not be stressed out to take a time share tour, this is not the place! If you have kids and want to have family time, take a time share tour, buy to come back with your kids, then this is the place for you. I would not attend this facility again. I give it an overall 3 out of 5 only because the grounds were nice and clean.

The hotel is clean, didnt like the buffet dinner, they say not to make reservarions ok the restaurants and then when you go they dont have space and put you in a waiting list for the next night. One of the pool staff tried to charge me one of the beds around the pool, just by asking my room number!

Very nice property great employees. The only thing I didn’t like is every employee tries to upsell you on everything which got a little annoying.

We really enjoyed our stay at Margaritaville. The hotel is beautiful and very well-kept and the staff were lovely to us. The beach was ok but a bit rocky though this didn’t bother me as most of my time was spent at the pool. The dining options were broad and the buffet had a huge variety! I wish we had brought more American cash as there was nowhere to get additional funds and the only bank machine on the property did not work for us (it only dispersed Dominican pesos). Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay, the food, the room and the amenities.

I read SO MUCH about this before booking so I thought I had a pretty good idea of what to expect but really after seeing it I hope I can describe what you can actually expect and what area is best to book... First of all in my experience as this is the 4th Margaritaville Property I have stayed at they are not known for their hospitality and this location isn't any different. Unfortunately the staff is VERY hit or miss and after talking to a few I get it. They work 12 days on then 2 days off so they are grumpy and it shows! If you are wondering what to book...Wave, Hammock or Hammock Villa I will say it depends on what type of trip you want and how much you want to spend. If you are never in the room or want to be closest to the beach, book Wave. If you are wanting something in the main building, close to the restaurants and dont mind a typical hotel where there are several floors book Hammock and if you want bigger rooms, more privacy what I will call a private pool with a swim up bar book the Villa's. We stayed in a swim out in the Villa section and it was everything and more when it came to the room and the swim out. Bring a float as there isn't much to pick from on the one's left behind. You get a butler BUT I will say don't expect much as there was only one group that was happy with their butler. After leaving I figured out why they dont excel in this area, there really isnt much they can do for you since the hotel is so limited and small.

Staff bends over backwards to make sure you are having a great time. However the high pressure to take their timeshare tour is ridiculous. Julio was our guy it started out fine and when we said we weren’t interested it turned into well I can’t go see my kids unless you take this tour. Needless to say we didn’t take the tour and never heard another word from him even though he said he was there to get us anything we needed .

1st time at Margaritaville - Married Couple - celebrating my birthday- 7/20/24-7/24/24. Resort is beautiful and pristine! But No Beach! We had to walk about 10 minutes to Juanillo Beach- worth the walk! Water was like a lagoon-it sits on the Caribbean Sea. Mid/top shelf liquor is not included. Staff was friendly. Upgrade to the “Villa” with swim up pool is a must! Amenities inside the room are upscale and very modern-with everything you need to make a Margarita! Variety of restaurants - Vegan and Gluten free options. Musicians and DJ at night (music was a bit loud if you have an early bedtime) - Overall it was nice to experience a new resort in Cap Cana (Exclusive area and home to Jack Nicholson’s golf courses) oh and our bracelets are our Room Key- eliminating frequent duplicate key requests.

The room was great (clean, spacious), but overall, the property is not something I would recommend. There is nothing nearby so once you\'re there, you\'re stuck. There are around 5 restaurants but they aren\'t open every day - so you\'re constantly trying to figure out where you can eat. There are times of the day when nothing is open so you are hungry with no options. They have a point system for you to get snacks/drinks from the little onsite market but there is no food there except twix and m&ms. Staff constantly badger you to join their "time-share" -and I mean, it\'s relentless. Breakfast buffet was good and the steakhouse was good, but other food options were not great. The Landshark had literally 1 beer on tap even though they claim to be a brewery. The food there was not even edible. I checked in at 5:30pm and was told my "room wasn\'t ready" and would have to wait an hour. When I confronted them about this, all of a sudden it was ready immediately. Then they told me some made up story about how the owner of the hotel was staying in there the night before and had a late check out - the owner of the hotel was staying in a mid-level room when there are way better rooms on property? I don\'t think so. The entertainment by the pool was boring - it was the same DJ for 5 days in a row yelling into a PA system and telling the same lame jokes. Every day, the same activities were planned to entertain you. We were bored to tears.

The resort was well kept and located on beautiful beach front property. The only concern is the transportation to and from the resort is controlled access where only authorized drivers arranged by the resort can transport on short notice(no uber). The prices are fairly higher than you would normally pay for transport. The dining options are minimum Sunday through Wednesday with more of their onsite restaurants open closer to the weekend. Overall very nice resort and nightly entertainment.

It is relatively new so very clean and rooms are nice. It is a smaller resort which makes it nice if you have anyone who can’t walk far distances. Most things are pretty close to each other. Food is good. Drinks are good. Cesar was great.

Located in a safe and private location

I chose Margaritaville, for my first trip out of the country. To say the least, i was decent. The staff there honestly made the whole trip. The food was not good. Including the room service. They constantly got our orders wrong. Also, its not there fault. But there tap water there (which they use to make ice) will make your stomach sour. If you don't make the store by 10pm, you're out of luck until the next morning. Still had a good time. But looking forward to visiting another resort. Btw Andres and Manaury are two awesome gentleman and deserve to be praised!

I’ve been to many all-inclusives in Punta Cana and I can’t think of one that has bettter food along with a relaxing and safe environment

Buffet breakfast was amazing every day. Events at night were great also

The staff was lovely. The beach was a very big disappointment. We felt we wasted our money because there is no beach as such . I wish I had known I would have never gone to this resort. The food is very average all the meat are overcooked. The pan Asian restaurant was the worst. They really need to change their Chefs. The resort on the other hand is lovely great if you are ok with the pools. lots of amenities. The resort is big clean and beautiful. Not much choice in beer . Wanted us to buy expensive wines with every meal.

Margaritaville is where to be at!! Relaxing, comfortable and food and drinks are top notch.

When it comes down to it, this property and it\'s staff are fantastic. The Villa Swim-Up suite is your best bang for the buck due to private swim-up bar and laid back, relaxing atmosphere. The elephant in the room though is the food. I fee like there needs to be some drastic changes across the board. The buffet needs to be open every meal to give some of the picky eaters options especially being a "family resort." The options also need to be refreshed and changed out instead of the same things every day. The Landshark place didn\'t have the actual Landshark beer, which was disappointing and the food needs to be over hauled. The steak & Italian places were very good, the Rum Runners needs to be open for dinner in lieu of Landshark in my opinion. Overall the little things added up, but would be happy to go back for a long weekend.
