The location was great, but its under renovation and we were the only ones. The water have a smell and it looks yellow, so we couldn't use the hot tub. The only thing available for us was the room.

When we first got here there was no staff on-site. I didn't have any information for my room because I booked my stay through a third party. The fire place didn't work, the jacuzzi was dirty, and there were bugs.

The property has no front desk or staff so you get a code to enter the property but upon arrival our code didn’t work and there was another couple sitting outside who also could not access the building. several phone calls and texts to the Manager went unanswered. we were finally able to access the building which was condemned from a flood, that we learned from a neighboring resident. The building was gutted to the studs. We eventually found our room in another building but the other couple wasn’t so lucky. Their room was supposed to be in the flooded building and they ended up leaving. So now for the room, it was cozy and cute and clean but the fireplace didn’t work and the patio was covered in Years of bird poop and spider webs. The building is creaky so if you like to sleep in and your neighbor doesn’t then you will be awake. Besides the flood damage, this property has a lot of neglect and deferred maintenance.

Room was ok ,but the carpet was really old and stained had to purchase slippers @walmart nearby because I didn't want to walk on it! The balcony was full of cobwebs and leaves. Fireplace didn't work, hot tub was stained yellow.whole room was dusty and outdated but the bed was nice. Staff was not on premise. But one worker that was there watching as construction people were working he was weird very nosy questioning us! Didn't appreciate that! So overall I would never book at the sandhill on the lake again until it has been completely renovated!
