Parking was a bit of an issue, but manageable. Staff was excellent, both at the front desk and throughout the hotel. Don't miss the outdoor garden with the heated seats/bench, a lovely spot. The proximity to so many of the things which make SF special was amazing. Shopping, eats, bars (The Page and Gigis both stand out), Golden Gate Park, the fun SF vibe all made the trip and stay memorable. We'll be back to stay at the Metro!

Pro: nice front desk welcome, clean, cool art work, centrally located (for my needs) and a very comfortable bed. Cons: stairs no elevator (this was an issue for me, not everyone), very few amenities, hot tea in the lobby (coffee shop 2 doors down, no micro or frig. I would think that the bare bones would bring the cost down, but I paid $625 for two nights in the middle of the week. They need to be careful with the cleaners they use also my room smelled heavily of disinfectant, etc. I did enjoy it though.

The recommended parking provided by the hotel was a disaster. We ended up having to park in an overnight garage over 30 minutes away. The room and atmosphere were good.

I did enjoy my overall stay with you because of your friendly front desk staff and location. However, I did have some issues. I was in room 108 in the back near the garden area. The outside light was on throughtout tue entire stay shining into my room and making it very difficult to sleep. On one occasion the door to the outside was still open when i returned at 1am in the morning. It was freezing in the hallway and room. You can't control guests slamming their doors, but on another morning someone was vacuuming the hallway and slamming into every door and part of the wall for a good 30 minutes. Again, not ideal if you're trying to relax and get some rest. I was there to say goodbye to a friend who is very ill, so having an opportunity to sleep at night was extremely important. I still enjoyed my stay, but the light situation was awful!
