Hotel Garrett

the breakfast was pastries and coffee. limited vending. no AC but opening the windows keeps the room cool enough. lots of homeless around this area BUT they keep to themselves. good location for downtown. Great staff. super clean. i would stay here again. somahouse across the street has a great restraunt and menu that serves breakfast starting at 630.

Change broken furniture in room. Floor and bed were good but bathroom and old TV niche need overhaul. Walls are thin and you get unwelcome insights on your neighbors in the night

From the outside of the hotel doesn't look like much, But it was a pretty good place and we would consider staying here again. The parking is very tight and limited, we could barely fit our relatively small car into the space. The elevator is a little dicey but it works. The room was tiny, reminded me of places in New York City but what was clean and pleasant. It is walkable to restaurants and things, but probably none of the things you really want to do... It's about a 15-minute or more drive, or or Waymo ride, to Pier 39. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast... Was brought in from what looked like a local bakery, really yummy mini quiche muffins, and delicious bread. One of the best breakfasts I've had at a hotel. Overall would consider staying here again, good value for the price. Side note, in the picture I thought there was a small couch, but it's really just a stool. My teen son had to sleep on the floor but the hotel staff was nice and provided plenty of extra bedding.

Room was okay, bathroom (toilet and shower) was very small and compact. No AC or climate in the room. We had a room facing the street, and there was a lot of street noise that kept waking me up. I know most of these things are out of the hotels control but I thought others should be aware. I didn’t expect much for SF so I will say the stay was okay.

The boutique experience in a historic hotel was lovely. The artwork in the lobby and the individuality of the rooms positively added to the stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast bar had delious pastries and whole fresh fruit. Thank you.
