Our stay was really nice. The firepits are a great amenity. Our room was spacious and clean. Our only issue is the big island in the parking area. It needs to be lighted at night for people walking in that area.

A great hotel for the family including small dogs! With a heated pool, game room, fire pits and yard the hotel has plenty to entertain my teens. The ocean being across the street was wonderful! The rooms were comfy and the staff was so kind. All of this within a 4 minute drive to Cambria, CA and San Simeon, CA.

The young lady at the front desk was one of the nicest people my wife and I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She went out of her way to start the fire in our fireplace as us Miami folk had little experience doing so. She also gave us excellent recommendations and shared wonderful stories of the area and all its sites, wonders, and folks! Oh, and the hotel is super cute, clean, spacious room, private beach, heated pool - can't wait to visit again!

They give you one toilet paper at a time when you ask for it. There were red flip flops under the bed from previous guest. The area under bed is small so it should’ve been discovered by housekeeping if job was done thoroughly. Tried calling front desk numerous times and they weren’t available…check-out including. Voicemail is always full. Room was hot and no fan and open windows wasn’t enough. Band aids on floor near pool. Pool water had lots of floating “things.” Housekeeping only available to certain rooms.

A great place for families and persons that are looking for something low key and relaxing. Our kids enjoyed the fire pit outside and the proximity to the beach was awesome. Some areas of the properties need some upkeep but otherwise comfortable. Also not great internet connection so if you don’t want to disconnect and be present, then would not stay I’m cambria.

The asphalt in the parking lot needs some attention is starting to degradate. Boundry ropes on the perimeter are weathered and dismantled. A simple $50 microwave in the room would be nice The only microwave available is a very small $50 microwave in the game room very inconvenient such a simple addition to the room would make a nicer stay. The room does not have adequate lighting very dim needs a fan above the bed with the light very little ventilation on hot humid days.

My family and I booked a 4 nights stay. We love it! It is situated walking distance from Moonstone beach and the boardwalk which is pet friendly. Ample parking space. The staff are wonderful and keeps the hotel clean and spectacular. They are very courteous. The have fire pit, couple lawn games, provides smores for kids for $5 complete set. If you want a quiet retreat - this is the place. Take note there is poor to no Tmobile service in this area. Cowtipper restaurant is next door. I ordered latte and oatmeal - which was good. The room was super clean! The front desk personnel was very helpful that checked me and my family in and were able to accommodate us to have our room together. Overall - 10/10 rating. Thank you Oceanpoint Ranch for the wonderful stay.

We've been staying at Oceanpoint for years, and its def one of our favorites. Great rooms, great location, great amenities. I do feel like the cleanliness has of the room has gone downhill. We are paying a pet fee for a room that really could use a deep clean before we get to it. The floors were NASTY, They seem they were swept but def far from very cleaned. A wet wipe up on them came up black. The outside of the tub was also something special. The mattress could use an upgrade but that was minor.

We loved the property and the room. The restaurant also served excellent breakfast, but was sadly only open until noon, meaning we had to go elsewhere for dinner. Unfortunately, we had an ant infestation one afternoon, and despite asking reception to send someone to help deal with it, we were left to clean it up ourselves that evening as best we could, since no one came to help. Terrible service.

Very clean inside and out. Comfortable rooms and beds. Nicely appointed. Very low key about our two dogs. Nice grass area for them. Right by the shoreline with a very quick walk to the water and a pretty walk for dogs.

Overall rough stay. Pet hair on the arm chair, other hair in the tub, ants in the room and an overall unaccomodating staff with a ‘deal with it’ attitude. You have to special order your room to be cleaned and make it so complicated you want to give us. They close down their restaurant right at the listed time. Our two night stay could’ve been much better overall. We liked the grounds and location, but won’t be back!

The picture and other reviews doesn’t bring the justification of this hotel. The room was very dirty and the bed sheets were old. The blanket that we got was old. There was no AC unit so the heater that they had in the room would heat the room very slowly and then the room was very dirty. There was spiderwebs everywhere, and dust everywhere.

This inn has nice grounds, the firepits scattered around the property are a nice addition to the last rime we stayed here. The rooms are run down, the bathrooms are very dated and could use a make over. The "wood" supplied for the first fire in the in room fireplace took an extremely long time (30 mins) to really start burning and gave off no heat. There was a charge for additional wood. The location at the end of moonstone beach is lovely but I'm not sure we would stay here again.

Love the location. Love the outdoor common area with fire features, games for everyone to enjoy. Check in was great. Bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. It should be noted that there is no air conditioning in these units. We didn’t need it but you should be aware. This property was built many years ago, probably 50’s. Our unit was clean, but bathroom doesn’t have an exhaust fan, only full size windows for ventilation. Didn’t feel comfortable having it open while showering thus moisture buildup on ceiling. There is evidence of moisture behind the paint which leads to damage and potentially mold issues. Bathroom has been updated and looks nice. TV was damaged and had a line vertically down the center of the TV. Distracting. We did enjoy the property and would recommend for families.

Great little property right by Moonstone beach with warm fire pits in the evening and a pool. Rooms are nicely done, comfortable beds as well. Excellent water pressure in the shower! Fans however should be installed in the bathroom as it got very steamy all over the room after 4 short showers. Would stay again for sure.

Nicely decorated and comfortable room. The room is dark; the ceiling is high and painted dark brown or black, and there didn’t seem to be enough lighting. No closet. Not enough places to hang towels in the bathroom so they pile up. Overall it’s fine, these are minor points.

We booked and paid through expedia. The hotel charged our credit card that was required for incidentals (of which we had none) $179. When I inquired about the charge they claimed they didn’t do it. But it our credit card showed otherwise. We currently have a pending dispute with our credit card company

Staff was amazing and so friendly both in the lobby and on site restaurant. Hotel was lovely. We were upgraded to a room with a patio which was amazing!! The property is beyond beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely come again. The pool and fire pits are an amazing touch. You could even get a s’mores kit at the front desk! Everything is very clean. The only downside, it was just so cold in the room. The heater wasn’t really doing it for us, some blankets would have been nice!

We have stayed here several times, from pre-Covid, through Covid and post-Covid...we weren't surprised when staff weren't as friendly during Covid, but we were sad to see they are even less friendly and helpful now than then!!! From not having our room ready at check-in time (and not notifying us when it was ready, as she said they would), to closing the office at 6 pm for a "break" (she went out to smoke a joint!), to trying to shoo us out before check-out time on our last day (day 3, at 9:30 am they texted me reminding me to check out and then housekeeping came to the door, even though we had DND card on the door)! Not really sure we will go back again.

We were welcomed with our dog, for a fee, that we were happy to pay as The Ocean Point Ranch was so accommodating. The rooms have a very homey ranch decor. We loved the ocean cliff area and all the outdoor amenities provided such as fire pits, games (indoor and out) and a pool. It is a large property to walk through and has an easy access to the Moonstone Boardwalk. The Cow Tipper Restaurant is only a breakfast restaurant in case you thought you’d pop over for a later meal or drink. Moonstone’s Grill and Bar is a walk away and the food is awesome. The Hearst Castle parking lot is literally 10 minutes up the highway. The Cambria downtown area is a 5 minute drive with lots of quaint shops and eateries. We need to get back here to see and do more!

This property was just what we were looking for. The rooms were very clean with nice linens, and we had a nice view of the property and the ocean. The ocean access was great. The breakfast at the Cow Tipper was very good. All the staff were nice and helpful. We only had 3 days/2 nights to spend on the coast, but this was the perfect place. We loved Cambria, riding clydesdales and seeing Hearst Castle and the elephant seals.

Great, family friendly hotel. Lots to do on site (pool, lawn games, fire pits, beach access). It was raining at the time of our visit, so I wish the restaurant on property had more indoor seating available for breakfast. Otherwise, great stay. We will definitely be back.

Clean and attractive room and bath, right across the street from one end of the wooden footpath along the beach and Moonstone Beach Dr. Cute property-owned restaurant 2 doors down - the Cow Tipper. Front desk not as organized and friendly as possible, but that could have been an anomaly. Recommended.
