The property is very quiet, you can hear the sounds of the ocean. Nice chairs to go out and relax. Nice little breakfast- more than continental. Right across from the walking path and a way to get to the ocean. Nice staff

First, the staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are spotless and nicely decorated. Housekeeping pays attention to details. The continental breakfast was welcome, delivered on time, and satisfying. The cookies in the lobby were a nice touch. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Parking is easy. It\'s across the road from a nice boardwalk that meanders through greenery with great ocean views. It\'s appropriate for people with mobility issues. Lots of nearby places to dine or enjoy wine. On the downside, the "fireplace" was merely an animation of a fire... not even a gas jet. Our coffee maker never worked... and the replacement didn\'t either. We followed instructions precisely, and all we did was waste the coffee pods because no water ever was dispensed. The vanity in the bathroom had almost no room for toiletries, and I was afraid to use the light-up vanity mirror because it was impossible to keep the base dry while the light was plugged in. Worried about electrical shock. Otherwise, a pleasant stay.

It was a nice facility. The check in was easy and the lady at the desk was very helpful. I drive a Tesla and the on site destination charger was convenient and worked well. We’d definitely stay here again.

The Sand Pebbles is a very nice hotel. I have stayed many times and will continue to make this hotel one of my favorites in Cambria. Breakfast is included and I appreciate the coffee in the lobby every morning. Good parking and there is a charging station for electric cars. You cannot beat the location and view of the ocean.

i didnt expect the inn offers free EV charging and cleaning windshield device. A very thoughtful gesture.

We enjoyed our full ocean view room with an outdoor area which we could sit and relax after a long day of sightseeing and shopping. Listening to the ocean at night was very soothing.

Smaller beautiful motel. My room had a partial ocean view and was beautifully appointed. Fireplace, giant bed, table with chairs; Keurig in room with ceramic mugs and bottled water along with glass drinking glasses. Ample drawers in nightstands with full closet and storage under TV. Comfortable giant (larger than mine, at home) King sized bed. Staff friendly and accommodating. Real breakfast provided, with service to your room. Loved my stay, right on Moonstone Beach - there are even comfortable Adirondack style chairs to sit and watch the sunset! Definitely would stay again.

The room was clean and pleasant, just across the street from the beach walk. Free parking is always a plus. The breakfast (various egg/cheese wraps) was tasty but a little heavy for my taste. Overall great for the price.

Beautifully maintained and charming with amazing location on moonstone beach. Delicious breakfast and water/coffee options. Easy parking. Would’ve enjoyed a hot tub and an outdoor fire pit option, but that’s being picky.

The reception was friendly. Rooms are cleaned daily. Their breakfast options were great! Many combos to pick from and featured some gluten free options as well. Also this inn is across the street from the ocean, so great for a stroll at sunset.

This Inn is right next to Moonstone Beach. We booked 2 rooms. One room has ants on the table counter and the bathroom floor. Overall, it is a very nice place to stay.

The Sand Pebbles is a beautiful hotel. Breakfast is included and coffee is available at the front desk in the mornings. There is a refrigerator, microwave and in room coffee maker. The beds are comfortable and the room is neat and clean.

We absolutely loved everything about Sand Pebbles Inn! The staff is very friendly and seem so happy! Our room was beautiful and immaculate. In addition, it is all the little things…warm welcome, chocolate chip cookies upon arrival and a delicious breakfast delivered to your door. I can not say enough about this lovely accommodation!

We had a great stay at Sand Pebbles Inn. The inn is at a perfect location on Moonstone Beach. Our room was very nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was a partial ocean view, and you did have a nice view looking out a side window. The people working at the inn were friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our toilet and it was fixed quickly without any inconvenience on our part. The breakfast that was delivered to your room was good, although I have to say by the third day I was tired of eggs and I wished for another option. I gave the inn 4 stars mainly because the bathroom needs a little more tlc along the floor and shower area, and we had an outside light that shone in our window at night that the shutters did not block out. Other than that, I think it's worth 5 stars.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I was there for 2 nights. All staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, cozy, spacious and quiet. The pillows were comfortsble and the bed was a litte hard for me. I loved that I could plug my hybrid in. It is a perfect location along the beach.

We had an ocean view room that was amazing. It included a private patio with table and chairs, perfect to watch the surfers, people on the boardwalk and sunset. The room was spacious and included a fireplace. The bathroom was huge and included a shower and jacuzzi tub. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel and rooms are adorable and such a great location to just walk right to the beach. We had a two Queen bed room with partial ocean view. I didn’t realize the rooms have no air conditioning and unfortunately we stayed two nights during a heat wave with temps hitting the 90s. Even with windows open it was very uncomfortable temps in the room. The beds were true queen sized and very comfortable though. They offer 3 choices for breakfast to be delivered to your room each morning, but we didn’t like any of the choices so we just ate breakfast in town. I’m guessing the rooms would have been fine with normal central coast temps but I’m not sure I’d take the chance again to book here after sweating all night. Staff was nice and room was very clean.

Property and location are great - breakfast brought in was really good. The room, however, was a bit stuffy with poor air flow even when windows were open and fans were on. Also - when windows open - you can hear all the parking lot noise.

We only stayed one night and left early but the room was spacious and beautifully presented.

We had a nice stay here. Location was fantastic and the entire facility was very clean. Partial ocean view from our room, which was very nice. Room was a bit small and cramped for 3 of us. The breakfast options were delicious, however, very limited.

Nice that they bring breakfast to the room if you order the night prior by 7 but it’s all variations of eggs except for yogurt and granola. Beautiful location

Very well maintained and clean hotel. Breakfast was great. Views were fantastic although a lot of fog was around when we visited. The only thing I would mention to potential guests is that it would probably get quite hot in the Summer months as there was no air-conditioning in the room, only a ceiling fan. Great that we could open our sliding door for fresh air.

It'd be nice to have AC in rooms. The room was extremely hot during the daytime. There was only one ceiling fan for the whole room to cool down, which was not sufficient.

We called and requested to check in an hour early. We were told to call or come check around 2. When we got there we were told no rooms were ready ( I don't think we were told the truth). We checked in and were told when we come back we could just pick up a key. We came back about 3:10. There were 3 couples waiting. We went in and the lady was very rude and said 3 people need to check in first. We said we already checked in and just needed to pick up our key. She said we had to wait like everyone else. When we went back outside the other customers said they had been waiting from 1/2 hour to 20 minutes and that the staff at check in was doing nothing. We went to get our bags and then the staff called us and gave us our key before the other people. She was rude and said we had to fill out our menu for breakfast before we went to our room. When we went to our room almost every door was open and clean. It is obvious some of the rooms were ready before 3. It would help the staff if they let people check in early and not try to help everyone at one time The shower door was installed backwards and made it hard to turn on the water without getting wet. Furniture was old. Entire room needed updating The staff (3 of them) were all rude and never said thank you when we left We stay in Cambria every 2-3 months and have always been happy with our accommodations. This is the worst place we have stayed in the 15 years we have been coming. Will not be staying here again

Super clean, comfortable, amazing oceanfront, great restaurant options within walking distance. The staff and service were exceptional! Lupe was gracious and helpful in every way!

Couldn't fault the hotel at all but staff on front desk incredibly rude, wouldn't stay again after how we were made to feel.

My husband and I love to staycation at this beautiful Inn! It’s located right on Moonstone Beach so it has beautiful views and walking paths. Lupe, at the front desk, is so friendly and helpful. Karen, the GM of the property, showed us to our room and made us feel very welcome! 100% recommend this little gem!

Quaint hotel on the seaside in Cambria. Everything was clean and Kathleen running the front desk was very nice and helpful. As you can see from the pictures, the decor is old school - but that's the vibe from all the hotels in Cambria. Would they necessarily get five stars in a big city like San Francisco or Los Angeles? Maybe not, but this is a much smaller town. The biggest positives for me were the extras: free breakfast delivered to your door every morning (mostly burrito or egg dish options); towels and liquid in the parking lot to clean off your car. These aren't ground breaking but they help set Sand Pebbles above the others in the area. Plus, I found the price to be a little cheaper than other hotels nearby. I'd easily stay here again.

My granddaughter and I stayed at your hotel from October 12th to 14th, and while we found the room to be clean and comfortable, I wanted to share some feedback regarding several interactions that could benefit from improvement. After a long drive, we used the hotel’s luggage cart to bring our bags to our room. Within ten minutes, we received a call requesting that we return the cart, even though no other guests were waiting to use it. The timing and tone of the call felt abrupt and unwelcoming after a tiring trip. Additionally, the coffee maker in our room did not work. When I approached the front desk to request a coffee cup, the staff member retrieved one from a nearby credenza. I mentioned that I would have gladly taken one myself had I known where they were located, but her response — “This area is employees only” — came across as unnecessarily curt. Lastly, after returning home, I realized I had left some items in the closet. When I called, the staff member confirmed that the items were found but stated, “We only keep items for three months,” in a tone that felt dismissive rather than reassuring. I let her know I would retrieve them well before that time frame, but again, the interaction lacked courtesy. Overall, while the accommodations were satisfactory, the staff’s demeanor and lack of warmth detracted from what could have been a pleasant and relaxing stay. I hope this feedback will be helpful in supporting continued service improvement. Thank you

Lone the Inn. However the woman doing guest checkins is quite rude, unfriendly and unwelcoming. Not a happy person.

Location was convenient and close to restaurants on Moonstone Beach Drive. Hotel is located across from the ocean with easy access to a scenic walking path. The hotel is very well maintained. My room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Coffee is provided in the room and in the lobby. The breakfast was phenomenal with several options offered. I would not hesitate to return and recommend it to my family and friends.

Just a beautiful area. The property is well maintained despite being on the older side. The rooms are spacious. Get one with an ocean view! Free breakfast (egg options served several ways or yogurt) is delivered to your room. No added fees or parking charges is nice.

Wasn't clear from written description if there was a pool/jacuzzi on the property, but there was a photo of one on the website. Never saw the pool. Despite lots of positive comments about breakfast, we were very surprised not to find a regular breakfast room with the typical breakfast items you would find in most other hotels that offer breakfast. No mention made on the Expedia site that the breakfast wasn't served but instead, delivered to your room in a paper bag. That was disappointing since the choices for breakfast were very limited. They should have explained that on their website instead of waiting until we arrived to check in. ALSO -- there was no corkscrew in the room, despite the fact that Cambria is very close to several wineries and so undoubtedly there are hotel guests with bottles of wine. Location across from the beach was great, but there are several other hotels there from which to choose. All in all, disappointing.

Amazing Inn! This property exceeded all of our expectations. We were graciously allowed to check in early. The room was tasteful and immaculate with an electric fireplace and a cute table and chairs allowing us to enjoy the stunning ocean view from the wide shuttered windows. We also took advantage of the tiered outdoor seating area with an unobstructed view of the ocean and beach area. One of the biggest surprises was the included breakfast that was delivered to our room at a time we specified. There were eight choices of breakfast burritos or breakfast bowls. Freshly made and hands down the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had. Started each day on a positive note. Front desk staff were friendly, helpful and added to the all around fantastic experience. We will absolutely be back to the Sand Pebbles Inn in Cambria. Visit this gem of a vacation spot. You will not be disappointed.

Cute hotel in a beautiful location. No breakfast area and instead it was brought to our room picnic style. Can’t wait to go back!

The breakfast burrito was made to order and arrived piping hot. It alao came with orange juice. The little utensil packet also contained salt/pepper, ketchup and taco sauce.
