Excellent location. Beautiful rooms with fireplace and views of the ocean. Breakfast is delivered in a brown bag to your room, there are plates and utensils in your room, plus table and chair to sit around and eat. Above all, they have two EV chargers free of charge for your use.

Have you seen the view? We have visited previously during the summer, but with the winter storms coming, the waves were incredible. Fortunately, due to landscaping of the beach, we were not flooded around New Year's Eve. There is also a communal fire pit on the grounds.

We were given a room on the third floor. And… there were no elevators! How is this property possibly ADA-compliant? My husband and I are able-bodied, but schlepping luggage up three flights of stairs was not fun. Also, men either on the grounds or in the RV ‘resort’ right nextdoor began shouting around midnight, and kept at it till around 3:00 AM. What’s best about the place is being on the beach. Great views, too.

Lovely decor in room and in lobby. Wonderful staff. Right across the street from the incredibly beautiful Moonstone Beach. What a wonderful place to walk! Water and squeegees in parking area to clean car windshield - what a thoughtful touch! Breakfast (included and delivered to the room) was delicious. We would definitely stay here again!

It’s our 3rd time staying at the Blue Dolphin Inn and it’s predictably and reliably comfortable. The breakfast is huge regardless of your choices and the convenience to walk to restaurants is great. With EV charging, it’s our go to spot to stay in Cambria. We’ll be back!

I have previously given a survey response regarding the discussting chairs in our room. The were extremely filthy. arms of chair were almost black of dirt and grime. I informed desk receptionist and cleaning lady on 2nd flr.

Our first time at Blue Dolphin Inn and it was amazing. Very clean, quiet, and the room decor was safari elegant. A huge plus was we had a room with an awesome view of the ocean. We woke up to that view every morning and it was simply beautiful.

We were really blown away. We were just expecting a basic hotel for the price we paid. Our room was silent- we heard NO outside noises (and we were very close to the lobby). The rooms must be soundproof as I never heard another guests door shut or anything for that matter outside our room (and there were many other guests staying there). What was really nice was that there were no children staying at the hotel. Besides my teenage daughter and I, it was all older couples staying. That was so refreshing as we came up in part to go to the Cambria Market Place where there are tons of loud kids. It was nice to come back to the peace and quiet of our room after. *The shuttle for the marketplace picks up nextdoor which is super convenient. The room came stocked with water bottles, fresh baked (delicious) cookies, and thoughtful details such as creamer for the room’s coffee and tea in the fridge and sleeping masks in the drawer in between our beds. The “fireplace” emitted a lot of heat, unlike other hotels we have stayed at on Moonstone beach. The made to order breakfast was also a nice bonus. They also had coffee and hot water and lemon ice water at different times of the day in the lobby along with beach towels. The employees were very courteous and nice as well. For the money, this is a find!!!

Booked last minute. Ground Room/patio has the view of the ocean but we wish cars/trucks didnt park right by the room blocking the view. Property needs to put a sign otherwise it defeats the “ocean view” and they charge $$ for it. Otherwise, we had an excellent stay. Good location. Nice clean quiet simple room right by the boardwalk. Small property.

This property needs a face lift. Everything was, at one time, leading edge and in vogue (carpeting, not much lighting, heat from the fireplace, etc). Now, it’s just tired. Despite that, it’s a very acceptable place to stay. Be aware there’s no AC. Fans but no air conditioning.

Our room was right next to the reception desk and we never heard a sound. There was a fan in the room and a small gas fireplace. There were two relaxing chairs and a round table next to a large window with a view of the ocean off to the right of the window. If we opened the window, we could hear the waves crashing toward the shore. The staff were welcoming and polite. The property was clean and our room was immaculate and comfortable. We had a made-to-order breakfast with some terrific choices that came with our room and delivered to our door at an hour we chose. We had a wonderful stay here and we will be back next year for sure!

This was my 2nd stay at the Blue Dolphin and both were great. The room was nice and clean with a lovely ocean view. We could hear the surf at night. The breakfast was tasty, especially the chorizo breakfast burrito. I would like a choice for juices because I don’t like orange juice, but most people do. My only complaint is the mattresses need to be replaced. It is way too soft and not in a good way. The location is perfect to walk along the board walk or access the beach. We enjoyed sitting out in front of the inn to watch the waves. Be sure to go to Linns restaurant for delicious food and a slice of Olallieberry pie.

Manager should know their desk staff was very confused at checkout, even coming out of the building to ask if I had checked out as I got to my car, even tho she had checked me out. She also did multiple private calls. Evetything else was wonderful!!

The staff in that hotel are outstanding. We felt very welcommed at the very first moment. This is how a hotel/inn should be. A great breakfast served in the morning and the room was clean, comfy and provides more than enough space. Just amazing stay! Will definitely recommend this Inn and come again. 5/5 from us.

Do not book this property through Expedia. You will get the least desirable room. We booked through Expedia and paid $330 per night. We were shown to the room directly behind the reception (Rm100) which smelled and was facing the parking lot. The front desk clerk basically let us know that’s what we get bc we booked though Expedia. Not updated, smelly old carpet, no amenities, coffee maker broken. Not good. Many other better options in area.

Beautiful property across the street from Moonstone Beach. It is small, intimate and beautifully decorated. Parking is easy and there are chargers for EVs. A breakfast burrito and orange juice are delivered to your room in the morning, if you choose. Very yummy! Coffee, water, microwave and fridge are in the room...there are even some plates and utensils. Easy walking distance to several restaurants and a very short drive to town. On top of that the staff is excellent...warm, helpful, and professional. Definitely will stay again.

Hot breakfast provided at your door daily by friendly staff, just hang your order card on your door and it's delivered the next morning. Our room had a bit of an ocean view even though it was not advertised. Have your coffee at one of the tables out front and watch the surfers in the morning. Bring good shoes for walking on the beach and boardwalk, just across the street. There is a clothing and gift store close by that has so many beautiful items. The pillows are like marshmallows, bring your own if you require a firm pillow. The location is perfect. It was far enough away from the main road to be quiet, also not too far from the villages of Cambria. I can't wait to go back!

The Inn is in a great location. Front desk could be a lot friendlier and more accommodating. The included breakfast bowl/burrito had no taste (bland). The bathroom was tiny and there was no water pressure in the shower. No air conditioner. Good restaurant and beach steps away. The location was the best asset.

The property is right on the beach. All rooms have a somewhat view of the beach that can be seen while sitting in the comfy chairs in front of the electric fire place. The whole vibe is really special. The only complaint is that the breakfast is somewhat underwhelming. The coffee is good though and they provide you with water.

Fantastic property - the location is the real sell here, and arguably the best hotel on the front here. My only really recommendation would be breakfast - the choice is limited (effectively just a egg and ham burrito that’s not edible for a European) - perhaps teaming up with the local French bakery to offer some of their fantastic treats would give an option that’s easily added to the choice? Regardless - we don’t come for the breakfast and will come again anyway.
