Everything was great; just wish there was a microwave and hotel parking.

It was a great location with parking garage close for our car. The room was clean and nice. The only things I didn't like, the room was small, like really small, and no microwave and the elevator was a little concerning at times.

The room was great and I loved the gift bag. The staff though was very unavailable, we had to wait over 30minutes twice with other guests for staff to appear from outside the building. I saw other guests leave almost late for flights because they had to wait. I also was locked out of my room 3 times by the staff and had to have my room card renewed multiple times. Finally the license they have for their elevators safety has been expired at this time for 5 years and every time we would take the elevator you can hear it scraping against the walls especially at the 7th floor when going up and on the 8th going down. Every time we stepped in the elevator we were nervous it might break down. Other than all that though the rest of the stay was nice, we liked the area and parking options (even though the staff recommended not parking anywhere nearby). Don’t think we would stay again though.

Clean and updated with stylish decor. Easy check in and friendly staff. We chose this hotel for the convenient location just next to the Dragon Gate to Chinatown and near Union Square shopping. Very walkable but there is no parking. Public overnight parking in nearby garage is $42 so you should factor that into the price.

Great stay but only downside is there is no valet parking or self-parking garage that belongs to the hotel. Wouldn’t have booked here if I had known that initially… also didn’t get a free drink voucher as advertised for gold members…. but other than that the hotel was very nice and modern. Still worth the nice stay for the affordable price overall.

Nice hotel for a quick weekend getaway, friendly staff on site at all times. And the neighborhood isn’t bad a Starbucks right at the corner a 2 min walk away and a cafe across the street. The 32one hotel is at a very convenient location where you can walk to china town to or a stroll around union square I would definitely stay here again for my next visit! Room was very clean upon arrival and everyone was very friendly. The key card features made the stay feel much more secured. The hotel itself has a bar next door that has some nice drinks and if you drink too much you don’t have to worry about getting back home

The hotel's elevator inspection permit expired on 12/16/2021, you can see the expired permit on their elevator wall. I stayed in a room next to the elevator and the elevator was making very loud noise all night long so I couldn't sleep at all. The window also wasn't very sound proof, so I could hear the noise on the street quite well. I tried to check out the next day but the hotel staff insisted they have prepared a new room for me --- a room that's one room away from the elevator. I didn't want to risk staying an extra night in a room that might be just as noisy. Also, I didn't feel safe staying any more after noticing their elevator permit expired in Dec 2021. So I asked to check-out but they refused. I didn't know hotels can force customers to stay if they don't feel safe to. They proceeded to charge me for three nights even though I have already moved to a different hotel (so they are basically charging money for an empty room). It took me 3 hours on the phone going back and forth with the Expedia agents and the hotel manager to settle on getting a refund. It was eye opening to see the Expedia agents and the hotel staff telling me completely different stories of which party is responsible for the refund. Eventually I went to the hotel in person because I know this issue will only get ignored over the phone. Putting the Expedia agent and the hotel manager on the phone was helpful so they can call out who is lying. Shouldn't have been this hard. Poor experience.

Great little hotel. Only one elevator so it can add wait time.

They've done a really nice job with an old building. Rooms are larger than I expected (at least mine was) with comfortable beds. The only thing that keeps it from being excellent is the slow, slightly sketchy-feeling elevator and the limited ability to store luggage. Great location within in easy walking distance of transit and many sites, but quiet and safe and very reasonably priced. I would stay here again.

Staff was very friendly and hospitable. Location is perfect and safe for walking even at night. At the doorsteps of Chinatown, galleries nearby, short walk to SFMoMA, gelato across the street is yummm! Parking is $42 a night at the White House garage but on Sat/Sun you can park on the street for free (read the signs). Elevator is slow.

Very clean.

The hotel had a good location, but unfortunately, it was not clean. First, we had trouble even opening the door and had to go back to the front desk to get someone to assist us. Once we finally got in, I immediately felt dizzy, and it was clear that the room wasn’t clean at all. My friend and I struggled to fall asleep, and even when we did manage to drift off, we both had horrible dreams. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Comfiest bed I have slept in from home! Staff friendly & helpful. Clean & well located. Gift bag on arrival was lovely touch. We were recommended & would definitely recommend.

Bathroom in my room was so dirty and disgusting.

Bedsheets were dirty, towels were dirty, elevator is loud and is very audible.

Avoid this hotel. The rooms are so so, but the bigger issue is that it’s built right over a Karrie bar thats open till midnight. I asked to switch to a quieter room and they wouldn’t do it.

The location is great, although it can be a bit noisy. Unfortunately, there was no AC, and the heater turned on automatically with no option to turn it off.

The showers have low water pressure and never gets warm enough.

I really was impressed with the hotel for the price I paid. Clean and comfortable and newly redone room. The only complaint is the shower max temperature setting is luke warm. This needs to be adjusted to allow for a proper warm shower. Otherwise wonderful, I’d stay again.

The room was clean, the bed was horrible. I had a hole in the middle ( over use I guess). The room was very small. But was clean and location is convenient.

Room was small but comfortable. Bathroom was clean but sink was very small. TV signal was in and out and there was a blue box floating on the screen while watching.

Great location and well appointed. Typical of the small old hotel renos in major cities that provide smallish but stylish rooms with a very reasonable price tag. If you like to spend lots of time in your hotel room, or demand lots of space, this is not your kind of place. But if you’re spending lots of time in your room in San Francisco, maybe you should just visit Dallas.

It was a typical boutique hotel with a modern flare in design. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean, but it is an older building and you don’t have control over the temp. There are over head electric fans which do help cool it down, but I wouldn’t want to stay here if it was high temperatures outside. It’s very secure as you can only enter by being buzzed in or using your room card which I appreciated. It’s also a close walkable distance to many things nearby like market street and the gates of china town.

Easy check in. Beautiful, charming hotel. Friendly staff and I even received a welcome gift with a Starbucks gift card. Such a lovely surprise. The rooms were super comfortable and modern and they even had a large ceiling fan. I'll definitely stay here again when visiting the city.

Great location, super clean and wonderful staff!

Got locked out my room multiple times a day. Had to go back up and down to get new keys and help and once opened I tried to walk in when the maintenance instead of asking me to wait pushed me he could have said anything or raised his hand I didn’t need to be physically stopped. Also tv didn’t start had to get that fixed

When I went to checkout there was nobody at the front desk and the front door was propped open. I waited 15 minutes before leaving. There was no sign saying anything about there not being a person there

Possibly the worst check in experience of my life. Even with a heads up to the hotel, there was no one at the registration desk for 30 MINUTES after I arrived from the airport. The main doors were locked so I was stuck outside for 20 minutes before a guest let me in, then I waited an additional 10 minutes for the person to finally arrive. What a nightmare

Of course it’s small, it’s SF. But we got used to it. I liked that the building was only accessible if you had a key card. That made us feel safe. The room itself was clean, with a modern bathroom. Starbucks was 3 doors down, there was a Korean restaurant right next door, Union Square was like a 3 minute walk. We notified the presence of police officers and did not see any homeless people near the hotel at all. We found our new hotel to stay at next time we visit. Great weather too!

Wow! I was amazed very boutique hotel, clean and modern look inside. The hotels location is incredible, Chinatown is across the street along with several coffee shops/restaurants. The parking is offsite but very affordable, safe and literally across the street. I would definitely stay again!!!!

It was in the center of downtown San Francisco and everything was within 15-20 minutes. No on site parking but there was a parking garage right across the street

Great location steps from the Chinatown gate and very close to Union Square. The room was very clean with nice, basic amenities. The hotel appears to be a remodel within an older building, therefore the single elevator is fairly small and can sometimes have a bit of a wait. I didn't have a problem, but I did observe quite a bit of outside construction noise late into the evening so light sleepers may have an issue with that. Overall, a nice friendly hotel in downtown SF!

Had a great stay! Staff was friendly and place was very clean! They offered complimentary drinks for the bar next door where they also had great service and karaoke! Only thing is there was no kitchen so we had to eat out a lot more but that wasn’t bad we got a chance to experience the city!

We like staying at this hotel for a number of reasons. I usually book directly through their hotel site, but my Orbitz Gold had some perks like complimentary drinks (only beer and wine, I’ll make a suggestion in a minute) and gift cards per room (didn’t receive). Buuuuut Lita at front desk was super helpful and nice, beds are very comfortable, the hotel is convenient to a lot of “things to do”, and did I mention the beds were super comfortable? My suggestion about the complimentary drinks next door; allow us to get a cocktail and we’ll pay the up charge ($1-$2) per drink. We probably would stayed and paid for another cocktail (this is not reflective of the hotel)

Nice stay. We got a goodie bag, it was sweet of them. Though the Starbucks card had no money in it, it was still a sweet gesture.

Location is awesome..safe and clean, new looking bathrooms and fridge and coffee maker in room. Comfy bed.
