We stayed in an executive suite which was a bit dated and dusty. Staff was great, very helpful and always available. My only complaint is the elevators. There are 6 yet seemed as if only two worked at a time. Resulted in a long wait with no access to stairs. The good outweighs the bad, I’ll definitely stay here again

This hotel has ZERO amenities. No robes, very limited wifi, no laundry, no pool, no room service, not even a place to buy tylenol. The cleaning crew and front door staff were awesome, but that was about it.

I was disappointed that you could not buy a soda, i was up at 4 am to get ready for a flight out, was so thirsty yet not one vending machine in the entire beautiful hotel. Check in staff was amazing, valet was great. Morning check out person was just ok. Not very friendly but everything else was great. The gal who checked us in was so nice and so helpful and valet was a class act

First off, the strikers are non stop and they are VERY loud and it’s so unpleasant to have a top tier hotel have their patrons be harassed everyday entering and leaving. Second, there were pubic hairs in our shower, on the soap shelf, in the tub and on the shower handle. It was AWFUL. Sink didnt drain so brushing teeth was a nasty sight. Menu at rooftop bar was limited and Wagyu beef burger was gross. Room was large and spacious, only positive here. Wont be staying again. AVOID

This is the second time I stayed here. The view in my room over looked Union square. The room was clean, spacious and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again in the future

The toilet overflowed spilling over raw sewage. Housekeeping used a towel and no cleaning produces to clean it up. then dripped the toilet water acrossed the whole room. The iron was broken, the ice maker was broken on our floor and the window shutter was broken.

The hotel is location is close to several tourist spots. It is in walking distance to Chinatown, Union Square, shopping, and restaurants. My few complaints include the mildew smell in the room, the shower head, and toilet not working correctly. The room had a strong mildew smell. The shower head was not installed correctly and caused the floor to get soaked. The toilet was hit or miss. It required many attempts to get it to flush.

Check in was simple (room was even available early). Every person we spoke to was very helpful. Room was clean (the sheets/mattress looked almost new) and up to date enough. It had everything we needed. Public transit for most places was only a few blocks walking distance. My only complains are the windows were pretty thin and we heard a decent bit of noise from the road below (even though we were on the 9th story) and the bathroom door is a sliding door that leaves a gap when closing. You can definitely see in and hear everything, which is weird.

We could not sleep after 3am, there was a very loud creeking noise in the ceiling, that started at 3am. I called the management, he said it was because wind, and offered nothing else. They should dislcose this to customers, on windy nights you will be able to sleep

Great experience except one thing - we left the room TV on when we checked in and came back to a SWELTERING hot room. The heat coming off the screen was literally overpowering the AC. It was shockingly warm in our room and the thermostat was set to 68 while the room temp was reading 66. After turning tv off it cooled down quickly at least.

Would have given an even higher rating but due to the labour strike out front, the hotel was short staffed and the management team struggled to keep up. To be fair, management worked extra hard to cover the bases. I’m sure once they’ve resolved their labour issues, they’ll be back to full 5 stars. Regardless, I recommend this hotel and will return.

The staff is awesome here at this hotel they really care about their customers and have gone above and beyond to care for their guest even during a accidental black out at tge hotel. The staff took great control of the situation and informed its guests on time and were very accommodating too. I would to thank the housekeeper staff for a great job because the assigned house keeper was always there and help me with removing trash from my room and she cleaned my room in a swift and timely matter. Thank grand hyatt for the great experience and hope to see you soon again

I have nothing negative to say. Absolutely outstanding service. They went above and beyond from the moment of our arrival until the time we checked our. We stayed at the Hilton for two night after our stay here and we were sorely disappointed. Did not compare in the slightest. We will always stay at the Grand Hyatt SF when we return. AMAZING

Overall the stay was great, we stayed in the luxury suite which was fabulous. Plenty of space, huge bathtub and shower. There was a sauna room connected to the bathroom which was pretty relaxing. We were on the 34th floor so the view of the city was amazing. The bell boy helped us to our room from check in, and helped us back down to our car when we needed to check out. The valet was fast and friendly.The bad part about our visit was the front desk employees. When we first checked in we did not get any additional information about our stay. Just handed us an envelope and said there was coupons inside for nearby shopping. Come check out time, the gentleman checking us out was very arrogant and not friendly. For how much money we had spent over the weekend at this hotel for a relaxing nice vacation, it is completely unacceptable to be that ignorant and rude. If he didn't know how to assist us properly he should have called his manager to take over. So overall our trip was relaxing and nice until we were leaving. We did not leave happy, the employees need more training and to learn how to not be so rude and know when to apologize.

The room was typical for a large hotel chain, large and clean. The service however was terrible. My colleague and I were treated so disrespectfully on more than 3 occasions by different staff members. Hopefully they work on their customer service.

Check in staff on day of arrival were very friendly and welcoming, provided water and toys for children, gave us a room on amhigh floor as requested. on checkout we left some items behind in the room, contacted the hotel and they retrieved the items for us to collect later that day, much appreciated. Only complaint is the price of valet parking. It's also run by an outside company not the hotel.

Need to know the area surrounding the hotel and employees to alert customers that 6 blocks away in one direction you may hit "tenderloin" area which is rather dangerous. The rest of other zones is fine to walk even at night. Upper floors with outstanding view to city skyline I didn\'t like that hotel didn\'t offer a full restaurant onsite, but snacks could be purchased at bar though breakfast was offered at a price.

We traveled from UK and stayed at the Grand Hyatt SF last week and were very pleased with the service, facilities and helpfulness of the staff at the hotel. The hotel is very central next to the Union Square and with many areas within the walking distance such as nob hill, China town. This was an excellent choice hotel for its quality, convenience and its location. Transport facilities are excellent from nearby cable car and other public transport points. I will be very happy to stay here again or to recommend it to my friends and family. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel for their hospitality.

Loved the service and staff were very nice and friendly. Room was on the smaller size, needed more electric sockets in more convenient locations. Standard room design was a bit awkward and clunky, like toilet paper holders were in an awkward position the sink was too large and left little counter space for sundries and no bathroom fan. Food was very poor quality for the price. Tasted like frozen entrees microwaved and served lukewarm. We had soup, pizza and fish and chips. The drinks were great but food was a bit disappointing. The service definitely made up for these minor criticisms.

Although a frequent traveler to San Francisco, this was my first stay at the Grand Hyatt, and I wasn't disappointed. From check-in to check-out my stay was very nice. Friendly customer service, comfortable room and clean throughout the property. Cool on-site lounge/cocktail bar, although I wish the roof were accessible to guests w/ a bar up there, too. My only complaint was that the a/c in my room was weak (although outside temps during my stay were at least cool). The hotel was also conveniently located, close to Union Square, shops, Chinatown, and much more. Overall, definitely recommend!
