Hotel Stratford San Francisco - Handwritten Collection

My room was on the 2nd floor but was underground level. Dark, stuffy and creepy. Couldn’t get the windows open. Finally maintenance did it on my 3rd day. No screens on the window. Not at all safe, but too stuffy to sleep. No refrigerator available. No luggage rack. The tv and phone didn’t work at check in. Had to wait 2 days for it to be fixed. No maid service. Very strange hotel. I saw other much nicer rooms with a refrigerator and proper windows. Maybe they didn’t like me as a hotels.com customer.

The hotel itself was pretty, clean, and well located. The room was small like you’d expect in a downtown area but the bed was comfortable. Maybe this is typical in SanFrancisco but there was no parking on site and the street in front of the hotel is for street cars and deliveries only. We had to pay $45 in the garage a block away and haul all of our stuff through the rain to the hotel.

Room was small but very functional and comfortable. No breakfast available but I was not expecting that. There was no WiFi when I arrived. It took them all day and night to fix it. I was in town for a conference so that really messed with my preparation.
