Comfort Suites Tulare Sequoia Gateway

Nice clean hotel, excellent front desk staff. The beds were very comfortable and the pool was clean and nice. We were visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon and the hotel was in a good proximity to both.

We stayed here because we were going to visit sequoia and kings canyon. This hotel doesn’t have elevators but the staff was able to put us on the first floor and thank god because we have a baby and a lot of baby stuff! We would stay here again.

Fresh smell, welcoming and helpful staff, fairly new rooms, clean and quality bathrooms, nice breakfast ( fresh waffles, eggs, burger, few types of bread, juice, coffee etc.), kieds enjoyed the clean swimming pool.

We chose the Comfort Suites in Tulare as our accommodation for our trip to Sequoia National Park. We had a large room with a sofa, coffee table, bench, desk and chair, wardrobe with large mirror, large fridge, microwave, coffee machine with coffee and TV. We also had a large comfortable king-size bed and there was enough space for suitcases in the room. Air conditioning was available and worked. There is a pool in the courtyard and it is open until 10pm. Sun loungers and tables are available. We spent a few hours relaxing here in the afternoon of our arrival and enjoyed it. There is a fitness room in the hotel with treadmill, weights etc which is open until 10pm. Breakfast is served on weekends from 7-9am and during the week from 6-9am. For American breakfast it is a good breakfast. There are three types of cereal, waffle maker with two types of waffle batter, toast, apples and oranges, different types of yogurt, eggs, muffins and hot dishes such as scrambled eggs. Drinks included orange juice, apple juice, Lenonade and water as well as coffee and tea. We also used the washing machine and dryer. The use of both together costs 8 dollars. You can get detergent when you pay at reception. There is also free lemon water, coffee and tea available in the entrance area throughout the day. We were very satisfied with our stay and can recommend the Comfort Suites in!

No Elevator.

Overall very good. Service was upbeat, helpful (much better than others in the area.) Nice sized and functional room for remote work and even a recreational stay. Liked the breakfast included and the EV charging stations (a big plus). The air conditioner did not stay on and keep the room at the desired temperate, so was awakened several times during the time b/c the room got too warm. Lastly, do know the smell of cow manure from nearby dairies is very strong outside the hotel (not inside), even worse in warm weather. Nothing the hotel can do....

Clean and big room with mini-fridge, good air-conditioning, a sitting area with a sofa and a coffee table. Friendly front desk. Reasonable rate. No elevator. Call to reserve ground floor room.

Marcus on the front desk was so friendly checking us in! Waffles for breakfast were delicious too. One thing to note which wasn’t an issue at all, but worth knowing, is that there is no lift. Marcus made us aware of this when he gave us the option of an upstairs or downstairs room, so it was no problem, but if you can’t do stairs just make sure you request a ground floor room when you book.

Comfortable,quiet and clean. Friendly staff. Only negative was semi cold breakfast and no elevator.

Wonderful stay. Clean room, convenient location and the staff was beyond accommodating. When I arrived after 6 hours of nonstop driving, I was in dire need to use a bathroom, unfortunately it was occupied so the front desk accepted my drivers license in exchange for my room key so I could go and not have a very bad and embarrassing experience in the lobby. Then check in was still fast, he explained all amenities and was very kind. I will be returning in the future to this location when I visit my family in the area

Room clean and spacious, bed very comfortable, staff great at communication, and decent morning breakfast. We only stayed one night in winter. Did not use other amenities.

Our room had an order, wasn’t sure if it was the carpet or sofa. Bathroom had no fan, so it stayed steamy/hot. I wouldn’t stay here again. The front desk clerk was great but that’s about it.

First, the first room they assigned us looked clean, but it didn't smell clean. It also had many damaged items, like the toilet paper holder and the mini-fridge that didn't work. Then they moved us to another room. It was almost the same: it smelled musty, a curtain was torn, the bathroom exhaust fan didn't work, the sink kept getting clogged, and one day they didn't clean the room, even though I had previously requested it. The pool was a bit dirty, and their small gym smelled very unpleasant. I wouldn't want to stay there again. The staff who served me was very friendly. The breakfast was quite acceptable. I wouldn't recommend it as a family stay.

Spacious room, comfortable beds, very nice receptionist that checked us in.

Basic hotel for the area, small breakfast area, decent bed, no issues other than the room being a bit dated.

The room was clean and that was a plus, however, the walls were very thin. I heard everything from the room next door. The father came home at 10:30 pm and woke up his child who proceeded to squeal in delight and encouraged to do so. While I love those sounds, I don't at 10:30 pm. The breakfast in the am was drying out and the coffee was empty. We went to eat elsewhere. Staff was nice as well. But heard everything.

The manager is delightful. Helped us retrieve a very precious photo we had left in room. He notified us promptly. The property is well maintained in every aspect. Certainly would stay again.

I just came back from hard rock casino in Sacramento, night and day difference.When I got here I was blown away, the customer service from checking in was amazing.The guy was pretty professional, keep it up.I will definitely come back, just because of this. Being friendly. Great job, guys.

I travel about 60 days a year and have done so for the last 30. The service of the front desk person, Henry. Exceeds the performance of personnel at five star resorts.

The front desk was very accommodating and friendly. The staff made my stay very pleasant.

I didn’t get to check in. The check in host was VERY rude and seemed like he was prejudiced as well. As soon as I walked in to check in he had a very rude attitude and I would highly appreciate it if you guys chose better and helpful host. Thank you.

Nice place about an hour from both national parks

A one night stop on our way to LA. It was convenient, safe and clean. They first put us in a room with a blocked window, but gave us a different room when asked.

It was right off the freeway and there are many places to eat around the area. I think the only thing I didn’t like were the homeless around the area but nothing you could do about that.

The hotel was in a safe and quiet area. The room and bed was clean. The only draw back was the breakfast was not that great. It would have been nice to have hot ready made oatmeal, sourdough bread, peanut butter, and other milk options such as almond milk instead of regular milk.

Staff was excellent at check-in! Room was super comfortable and in a perfect location within the hotel. Breakfast was delicious. I love the blueberry waffles batter. Morning staff was excellent. Hotel was in a perfect location for on and off of Highway 99.

It has been a VERY long time since I stayed at this particular Comfort Suites Hotel, but thought I would give it another chance. I had very high hopes of change. There are two major dislikes for me and one is they dictate to you what your room temperature will be - they have it not to go higher or lower than a certain degree that they've preset and the staff can't do anything about it and the second dislike is their free breakfast. It was the same food whether a week day or weekend....steamed rubbery eggs, lightly under-cooked sausage, potatoes, toast, cook your own waffles, muffin, pastry, orange was the fruit (and looked old and sunken in), only fat milk was offered for cereal or coffee, various juices, coffee, flavored yogurt and a couple other items, but it was soooo boring and not flavorful at all! Nothing too healthy. However, there were pluses of comfortable bed which is very important to me, room and hotel lobby furnished nice. The staff was very pleasant and helpful! Personally, I will not stay here again; I will stay at my other usual places that offer more quality and you choose your temperature setting. I visit Tulare a lot and stayed at various hotels. But food and temperature settings mean a lot to me to have choice.
