The Hillstone hotel provided us with a heart warming experience. The room was clean and very comfortable. We had a microwave, mini refrigerator and a work table. The pool was clean, we received pool towels for our family, the customer service was excellent and check in took literally 30 seconds. Breakfast was included and it was amazing because they provided a full breakfast buffet. In addition to the hotel being fantastic , it is also walking distance from in n out, Ross, canes, Lowe’s , it’s is near EVERYTHING. Book a room because you won’t regret it!

Clean hotel. With free breakfast and an outdoor pool. Conveniently close to restaurants, markets and fast food. It would be 5 starts but someone knocked on our door at 2a for some odd reason. The hotel is not surrounded by a fence. Overall the stay was pleasant. Customer service was on point.

The room had a broken AC unit so no heating or cooling. The floor was filthy and would make your feet black. And the shower leaked too much water, I would have to use a towel to wipe the floor everytime even after making sure the doors were completely closed .

There was a cockroach inside the room. Also I paid more to stay at this place because the reviews raved about the breakfast but it turned out to be basic just like any other place. The room also had a sewage smell that I don’t know where it comes from.

It's not the first time I've slept there, this is the last time you see what happened. The upstairs neighbors were very noisy all night. The air conditioning was horrible. I found a bed bug in the bed. It was horrible. I couldn't sleep all night. I definitely stopped being. an option for me

The shower was great, bed comfy enough. White socks walking on the linoleum floor showed just how dirty floor was. It was quiet but homeless camps behind the parking lot wall made for an unsettled experience.

I wish I could have given five stars, it was a great value for the money. The room was very clean and well maintained. The staff was efficient and friendly. It appears from first glance that this is a budget hotel.. and in some ways it is. But this is a big step up from other cheaper hotels. I thought the bed was comfy, the wife didn't like the springs that creaked when you moved and felt the mattress was breaking down on the edge. It was fine for one night. The pillows, my most common complaint at most places, were just fine. The reason I can't give five stars is the noise.. which others have commented about. We had a room on the back side which cut down on the traffic noise.. but when someone walked in the room above it was like being inside a bass drum... You could also hear people talking thru the walls. The place had everything you need but not a lot of frills.. and was priced well. Would stay again.

We were on the first floor in the room seems small and stuffy. Only one window with an entry from the exterior. Although the appearance of the room looked clean, it didn’t feel very clean maybe because of the age and location. Being on the first floor of a three-story hotel, it felt like a motel with people walking on the roof. You could hear, every footstep and voices from the room right above you which happened to us well past 11 o’clock at night.

From the outside, the hotel looks a bit like a motel, but do not worry, because the rooms are very much up-to-date. Rooms feel very modern, are very spacious and very comfortable. Parking is easy and you have a lot of dining options around the hotel. Good place to stay when visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

The room was beautiful! Whomever did the interior design was awesome. The yellow and teal colors worked so well together. The lighting in the bathroom was great; the lights surrounded the huge mirror so you can see yourself very clearly. Good water pressure on showers. The toiletries smelled delightful, like citrus. King sized bed was very comfortable. Bed linens were soft. Comforter was high quality. Breakfast was good. I'd stay here again, if in the area.

The hotel was fully booked. There was a glitch in our booking. The room that was first assigned to us was not accessible and was on the third floor. Our dog was not added to the booking. We decided to pass on the 3rd floor room, despite the elevator. Marina, the desk clerk, went above and beyond the call of duty and was able to juggle when a cancelation on the first floor became available. We enjoyed our stay, and the breakfast selection was fresh and tasty.

The property was fine, but I had a hard time checking in. I reserved and paid for the room on the app about an hour before hand. When I showed up, they had the reservation, but the woman at the desk spent about 30 minutes on the phone with Expedia trying to figure something out. This all happened around 11:30 pm , so I was rather tired.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the hotel overall... the room itself was a 10/10. It is freshly renovated, clean, and very well kept. Good water pressure in the showers, and just overall a great room. The town itself is small, with not much to do in the evening but still many food options around. Parking lot is large with plenty of space. One tiny downside: we had to checkout very early, around 4AM and there was noone at the front desk.. had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to desk for us to checkout holding us up for almost 30 min. Other than that, great service and hotel. Would stay again.

The room itself was nice, however i did notice what looked like either cereal or possibly dog food on the floor? Looked like the room wasn’t swept properly.. the shower pressure was also terrible..and i kept getting woken up around 4AM with someone walking very loudly on the room above mine. The area wasn’t the best, a lot of homeless people walking around or sitting near by.

This was a nice stay but the beds were not the most comfortable and they should be replaced soon. They were squeaky and I could feel the springs. There were also dead bees all over the hallway to our room. Perhaps there was a hive in the eaves of the walkway… Anyhow, there is a lovely local eatery directly outside, Apple Annie’s or something like that. We went there for breakfast and it was fabulous and it was very nice that we could walk there from the room in a minute or two. For the price, though, a great value and worth a stay.

The room was nice, but the location was lousy. it was clustered in with several other hotels/motels and a coffee shop that made entering and exiting a hassle. I would choose somewhere else in the future. While there were not homeless on site, they were camping out on the outskirts of the rear parking lot, which made me feel uncomfortable about leaving my car over night.

The rooms are very nice and the staff is lovely as well. Where it sits is by the freeway on an offramp and there are a lot of transient people and trash in the neighboring parking lots and surrounding areas. The hotel itself is kept very nice.
