Stayed 1 night

Stayed one night at the Quality Inn while in the area to visit Six Flags. It was overall a great value and I have stayed over a dozen times over the years. I had room 415 and while it was fine overall, when entering the room, there was quite a strong unpleasant odor, something I have never experienced here before. That was quite unsatisfying, and I smelled it again after leaving for dinner and returning, and sadly had to adjust to the odor as my stay went on. I checked in around 7:30pm or so, the woman at the desk was friendly and quickly got my room key ready, however I heard her complain to a friend about working since 6am, and the hotel seemingly being understaffed wasn't the greatest thing to hear. My room was clean overall, minus the odor, however some bathroom fixtures, the light and tissue box specifically, are covered in rust, and some of the drop ceiling tiles were out of place. The shower was fine, at night took a minute to warm up, but there was good water pressure and it was plenty hot after that! They provide 2 bars of soap for a 2 queen room and plenty of towels. The beds were comfortable, 4 pillows in each, and I slept well and didn't want to wake up to catch breakfast! That ends at 9am on weekdays but wish it was 9:30 like weekends. There is also a balcony but I didn't use it but nice to have! Breakfast was fine, eggs, sausage, hash browns, yogurt, especially liked the mini donuts and waffles! It was restocked and they didn't abruptly close it at 9am.

We expected the enclosed pool to be year round. Nice featured pictures of the pool, with unseen small print that denotes it as "seasonal". Night stands were cracked from old water damage. Showers were updated but the rest of the hotel looked run down. Staff were nice. Room was Ok, balcony was a bonus. Nice free breakfast, with attentive breakfast staff. Paid less than $100 per night, so that too was a bonus.

Horrible experience! Was woken at 3am by three drunk kids yelling outside of my room, asked them to please take it elsewhere and turns out they were staying in the room next door (!) but couldn’t get in because they’d lost their key. Called the front desk, explained situation, asked them to please handle and had to listen to drunken hallway yelling for the next 10 minutes. The front desk attendant finally escorted them downstairs and gave them a key. They came back upstairs and proceeded to yell in the hallway again. I called the front desk again and was told “well, this is a public hotel” which I felt was a completely unacceptable response. The kids finally entered the room where they proceeded to yell for the next hour. I called the front desk a second time, nothing was done. Needless to say, I was wide awake for the rest of the night! I explained the situation to a different front desk attendant upon checkout, requested a refund and was told they couldn’t do anything because I booked through Hotels.com. Overall, a terrible experience and I will never stay at this or any other Quality Inn again. I will be contacting Hotels.com and sincerely hope they will make the situation right by issuing me a refund!

Breakfast was decent. The place is lind of falling apart and beat up. Not convenient that ice is only on first floor. The bed was comfortable.
