It isn't a fancy place but the rooms were, the staff were great and the location was nice! The ice machine on the third floor was locked up, so we had to go to the front desk to get ice, but otherwise, it was a nice stay!

I normally am fine with Red Roof Inn, but this place has problems. Everything outside made of steel is rusted out and ready to fall apart. There was one front desk gal who seemed to be angry anytime anyone addressed her, like she couldn't be bothered. However, another gal (her name - Ebony) took the anger from a couple of customers with a smile and immediate help. Ebony is OK! But I swear, the maids mop all the floors with 7up, they were so sticky! Good news is there is a plethora of excellent Italian restaurants on "the Hill" where it's located. Put a smile on that grouchy, skinny gal and use fresh water on the floors, and it would be OK.

It is right by the interstate and it was noisy trying to sleep. The picture online showed a microwave and frig in room and there wasnt. The ice machine was to far from wheelchair rooms.

The room was clean when we arrived, and the price was great. However, I made our reservation for a family of 4, and they only left 2 towels in our room. When my husband asked for more, they told him that we needed to bring our dirty towels to the office to get more. After explaining that we had 4 people, they finally gave him some more, but we shouldn’t have had to go begging for more. They did not come in and clean or refresh anything during our stay. The hotel WiFi was not secure, which was a concern to my husband. And the sign at the desk says they are not responsible if anything goes missing inside or outside of your room, which just raised red flags for me. Like I said, the price was nice, but I will likely find a different hotel the next time we travel to St. Louis!

Made reservations thru Hotels.com for my wife & me, and for in-laws. My reservation was somehow canceled because of credit card. Desk was good about getting us a room but that room was in ill- repair (light fixture over sink had only hanging wires). Desk assigned us a new room which was good, but no heat while temps dipped to 45 deg. In-laws arrived later. No issue with their reservation, but their assigned room was not made up. Back to Desk for new room which was ok, but bed side table missing, smoke detector was hanfing from wires, and heat didn’t work. Outside corridors and other common areas were not clean.

Check in was very quick and staff super polite even when it was late check in. However, I was only refunded 1/3 of the value of my stay for my encounter of bed bugs that I discovered the next morning. I have to take thr time to sanitize all my belongings, and 1/3 is not properly compensating this situation. I booked one of the more expensive superior rooms. The floors didn’t look like they’ve mopped them in years. I have stayed at this hotel before about 3-4 times and this was the worst experience among them. Please treat for bed bugs and clean and do better because I know you can and have before!

As soon as we entered the room it smelled like wet socks and the carpet between the beds was so wet we had to put a towel down. My daughter and I both woke up with large, swollen red insect bites on our bodies.

Bedding dirty, stained & cigarette holes burned on top of beds. Door had been busted in & you could see daylight through it. There was a ketchup packet in the light fixture in the ceiling. Toilet ran all night long. Carpet not vacuumed. No bath towels, only hand towels & wash clothes. Photos on internet were beyond deceptive. Also a drug overdose 5 rooms down & lots of marijuana smell. Don’t recommend bringing your new baby.

door wouldn’t close all the way. the shower barely worked and was covered in hair. the toilet had poop stains. there was large crowds of loud intoxicated arguing people outside until 3am, glass bottles broken around all our car.

When I got to the room, there was no coffee maker, no ice bucket and I had to get down on my knees and plug in all the lamps and lights. There were roaches and spiders in the bathroom and some kind a snake-looking thing in the toilet that would never flush down but kept coming back up. The second night I was there, someone pounded on my door at 2:30 in the morning. Then I heard them pound on the door next door and say" housekeeping". The next night, somebody tried to get into my door again. I could hear them fumbling with the door handle. I awoke the next morning to get ready to leave, and there was a man standing next to my door yelling and screaming. Then he got down on his hands and knees and pounded the concrete with his fists while screaming. I'm pretty sure he was having withdrawal from drug symptoms. Absolutely the worst stay I have ever had at hotel and I will never stay at a Red Roof Inn ever again. I really feel like I should be refunded my money.

We arrived and got our room. We had a king room. No fridge, no microwave, no hair dryer, the TV did not work. That was the least of our worries. There were multiple holes in the walls, water damage on the ceiling, the bathroom was tiny and the door was literally falling apart (the whole back was coming off) and the door was coming off the hinges. The door was hard to close and hard to open because it was coming off the hinges. The bathroom was also so small. The whole room was VERY small for the price we paid. But worst of all…. OUR AC DID NOT WORK. It was over 100 degrees outside, and extremely humid. We finally got back to our room to cool off and relax after a hot day at the Cardinals game…We were up most of the night sweating and sticky since the air conditioning in our room did not work. Well, it had power and blew out air. But we had it set to 60 degrees Fahrenheit and the thermostat on the wall said it was 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the room. 80 degrees! With how much we paid for this room, we were not happy at all.

It was close to highway and from walkway, you could hear it, but inside it was very quiet so I didn't even notice it. Both ladies at check-in and check-out were very friendly. Coffee was ready in the morning. It was just one night and we got pretty much what we expected at a reasonable rate compared to other places in the area.

The employees and manager were very friendly but very careless with my time as I was left standing at the front desk for over 30 minutes waiting to check into my room while they talked amongst each other. One employee started to ask me what my name was then walked off and the other receptionist helped other customers that were walking in long after I was there. Finally after around 30 minutes and she helped all the other customers she allowed me to check into my room.

I tried checking in, with my husband who had only 30 minutes before been released from hospital after having massive heart surgery. The women would NOT allow us to even check in, but they were quick to bill my card. I was able to make contact with my bank immediately, and made the clerk let my bank know they were not allowing us to check in. I was refunded my money almost instantly, only to have the motel turn around and by the time I was 30 miles away from the hotel- bill my card again. This all happened over a week ago, and my funds have still NOT been released back to me. I am disgusted by there "service"!

The 3pm check in process was horrible, we had a block rooms for a weekend event and when we got there we were told no rooms were available, we asked why and was told not enough housekeepers, when asked when we could check in was told I do not know and preceded to help out a guest that was crying she had no where to go, she got a free night! When we finally were able to check in I was charged $54, probably paid the homeless woman night in the hotel. The bathroom had holes in the shower walls. The check out was just horrible also, no one was in the office and it was locked, I found the office worker and she was on the second floor knocking door to door with a clipboard seeing whom was still in their rooms, I was told to leave my hotel room keys on a mophead motorcycles! Do not stay here, go to the Drury Hotel right down the road. Red Roof corporate needs to know about this location and hopefully Expedia can advise customers to avoid this location!

They sold all the rooms, and by the time I got there (around 2 a.m.) they told me “sorry not sorry, we are completely booked so we can’t help you” …yes with that words and a bad tone. The didn’t honor my reservation. On top of that Expedia/Hotels.com charged me for a service I didn’t even received. Now I have to wait 72 hrs so Expedia can confirm and start (yes, start) the refund process.

We had no cancellation on short time before booking so are out $170 because we would not EVER stay in such a scuzzy, dangerous place. There were loud men out drinking in the parking lot and men hanging out on the walkways outside the rooms. We arrived late(8:00) after a 11 hour drive. I would love to get my money back, but I did agree to the terms. I will think twice about using Hotels.com if this is on your list!

This is the place to stay if you have come to town for Italian food on The Hill in STL. You can walk to all the best-known spots. An easy Uber from the Grove entertainment district, as well.

Not very friendly staff and not very helpful. We had two room, both smelled. One room didn’t have a remote for TV. Some sketchy people in area. Didn’t feel very safe at night going out to car. Rooms are not very well lite. I would not stay here again and do not recommend.

It was very close to the Zoo, which was nice. Room had no remote for the TV. Took forever to get the remote. We paid extra for the snack box and that was a joke. Not worth the extra. We , two people, received one bottle of water, one snack size bag of popcorn, one mini pack of crackers, one snack bag of plain chips and one granola bar. Not what we were expecting for the price paid. Air conditioner didn’t work properly and the room smelled of dog. The mini frig did not get cold. Not happy, would not recommend or stay again.
