Loved everything about it, just avoid Friday/Saturday if you’re looking for pure relaxation. Pretty busy which we didn’t realize. Going back in September and we will adjust our days accordingly.

Overall - thought the place had a cool setup with potential to be great, but once you get past lobby area… We tried to save money to go here instead of others nearby, but in hindsight would have paid double to enjoy my weekend at a better hotel. Be aware - Smoking is allowed in front of all rooms so you can’t even use the chairs in from of your room by pool. Smoking is allowed or not monitored in all common areas which was everywhere…ruins it for non-smokers who want some fresh air. Food at beach bar was terrible and they were out of many items all weekend long. Coffee shop line took forever and didn’t have several basic items all weekend (vanilla syrup, etc). Pool was WAY overcrowded because they have too many daily pool passes as well as do not check bracelets of people who are not staying there and get in with friends. Your room comes with 2 beach chairs but no umbrella. Your chairs are ONLY allowed in the furthest spot from the ocean by the bar area. Treated like second class citizen…can’t even see the water from back there…You must buy umbrella or cabana to move up and cannot move their chairs or use your own umbrella with the chairs. CRAZY. WAY easier to just bring your own chairs and umbrella and walk off their property which is ridiculous to have to do when you paid ‘resort fees’ for the pool and beach chairs. Rooms are old … I expected that for the money but kind of trashy, loud AC units. Loud music all day and night. Love music but never stops….

Tries to be fun and succeeds in a lot in places but property is showing its age - scuffed old furniture, jiggly toilet, rough bed linen, stained lumpy cushions etc. nice outdoor area and plenty of fun things to do indoors. Resort fee is a bit shocking considering I’ve stayed at five-star resorts with significantly lower fee. Especially when you can’t swim in the pool or lounge on the beach in winter.

Really great setup for a bit of a boozy experience with a nice bar and pool combo. The rooms could use a little upgrade but they were fine for the four nights. Beds were as good as any other place I’ve stayed. We were there We’d through Sunday morning so it is worth noting that every Sat they bring in a electronic dance style club dj and the place gets a ton of people coming for the day. Average age on Sat of guests is probably 25. It’s a wild scene so if you are looking to have a quiet relaxing weekend this is not the place you want. We didn’t mind it at all even being in our 40s but we hung away from where the DJ was setup which is where it was especially packed. Fun atmosphere but just something to know before you book. Other days were way more chill.

From the moment we checked in with an ambulance and two sheriff SUV’s in the entrance we knew this was not a good sign. This is a motel party motel. Didn’t realize the bar is open to college kids and parties. Not worth the price and the ‘resort’ fee they charge. If you like the party scene and have guests not part of the motel walk around drunk this is for you. * nothing private about the beach anyone could be there * beach chairs - you can’t move them they are located in the back area, you have to pay for the chairs and umbrellas close to the water and the private cabanas. If you bring your own umbrella it’s not allowed. You have to leave the premises to put your own umbrella * a lot of construction, electrical cables on the floor, debris everywhere, not safe for anyone * Cafe is closed, paid $5 for coffee that was a day old and cold at the bar, no options for a quick breakfast. Didn’t ask for refund not worth the hassle but let the bartender know * room ok no frills, odd smell but housekeeping is nice * bottled water is basic *no cookies * pool area is good with security making sure no one from outside the hotel used it * ocean was beautiful but bring your own lounge chair. *only one car per reservation, 2nd car was $45 Pay a little more and stay at the Hilton next door. Do not recommend it

Upon arrival at the front desk the whole lobby smelled of sewage, two of the three “restaurants” are located in the lobby area. Areas around the pool and outdoor beach shack bar are in disrepair there were also so many people crowded around this area it was near to impossible to get any bar or food service. We had to leave the resort to eat because of this, the reason we booked this resort was the convenience of supposedly having these amenities of several dining choices and service at pool/ beach areas both of which we had none. The rooms were livable but the shower had mold and towel bar was broken on arrival. Unfortunately would not stay at this resort ever again.

We've visited Postcard Inn several times over the last 10 years and we were floored by the condition of the rooms this time. There was nothing on the walls, no decor or color anywhere in the room, just stark white walls and sheets. It felt like a solitary confinement hospital room. The tub was chipped and rusted, the toiletries were mix-and-matched random brands with some on the sink and some in the tub where they'd broken off the wall holder, the small fridge in the corner was beat up and old, and the lone, tiny wooden stool wasn't even big enough to put a suitcase on. The bed springs screeched so loud every time we moved at all on the bed. The window "view" was of a huge shipping container in the parking lot. When we asked for a different room, we were told they all looked like this because the hotel is renovating. I can't believe they would allow the rooms to be used as is, and should absolutely have a disclaimer on their site that what you see and what you get are nothing alike. In addition, their site should acknowledge that this is a party "Spring Break" style hotel, with loud techno music at the tiki hut all day and a hundred people dancing and drinking, not the vibe you'd want if your goal was to relax by the pool. All the staff we encountered were warm and friendly, so our issues are not with staff but with the actual condition of the rooms and the fact they are charging obscene rates for what is not above a Motel 6 room.

Cockroaches everywhere in room. Room was dirty in general, mold, bugs. Great location on the beach but definitely not worth how much you pay. I'd recommend staying at another hotel on the beach.

Pros and cons. Pros are the bed is extremely comfortable and the location is great. Cons are the room's floor is extremely dirty and you have to literally wash your feet off and towel them off next to the bed before you go to sleep, the shower is open and it sprays out into the room, the lights are Edison lights and are harsh, the tv doesn't work very well on some stations, and there is no coffee machine in the room (I called to the lobby and they said there was a starbucks about a mile away!)

I'll start with some positives even though they are very few; the bed was comfy, the location is good, the lobby is cute, the coffee was good and the staff there was very friendly. The front desk was very welcoming. The negatives, the room needs upgrading, old, chipped furniture, no dressers and our room opened up to a large cement opening, very unappealing. We sat outside one am and the entire surrounding was a mess, with beer caps, trash etc. There were hockey teams staying there and spread all their equipment throughout the resort to dry on a daily basis, highly doubt this would happen at a Hilton. Not a deal breaker however just added to the overall experience. The weekend here was a nightmare, complete take over from non-guests at the hotel. It was like being on spring break. Couldn't even get to the outside bar if you wanted too, beach area was jammed packed, and we actually went next door to the beach area to get away. Zero exclusivity here as a guest. Not a family friendly hotel. It did, however calm down during the week. Unfortunately, a disappointing stay and would not return.

I booked this hotel because of the location near the beach. The beach and location was great. I would not stay here again because we felt it wasn’t up to date or very clean. The lobby had this bad smell when walking through. The room was fine but the bathroom was awful. Bathroom was outdated small, old, sink wouldn’t drain, dirty, no sink soap. The cleaning people came in our room and made our bed by just taking the comforter and throwing it over the bed and left the dirty sheets In a ball still on the bed. They took our used towels and didn’t give us new ones we had to find them and get new ones. Overall this hotel is fine if you’re in high school or college going on spring break. Not a nice clean hotel for me and my husband.

The outside areas were beautiful! The room eh not so much. There was a huge crack in the ceiling andthe bathroom sink did not drain well. The beds were comfortable but the bedding had some stains on it looked like markers or old makeup. I’ve stayed in nicer hotels for cheaper total amounts. If you’re looking for a good beach side party, they definitely provide this type of atmosphere. There are no ice machines, no coffee makers, and no microwaves in the rooms as they want you to purchase from their restaurants on site. They do give guest small 1/2 bags of ice upon request. Overall it was a decent place if you’re just looking for a bed to sleep in and dont care about details. Location is great, beach is beautiful, pool was nice and staff was friendly.

You will either love this hotel or hate it depending on some factors. I stayed on a Memorial Day weekend and the place was slammed and pricier than normal. The good: Great location. Amazing beach. Decent pool. Fairly large rooms. Comfortable bed. Room and bathroom was clean with good AC. Great water pressure in the bathtub. The variables: Big party hotel. Apparently a popular place for college crowd. A ton of non-guests at the tiki bar and beach area. Loud DJ at the tiki bar and pool. Rooms around the courtyard will no doubt hear the racket from the courtyard or be part of the party. The bad: Walls are paper thin and air vents transfer certain odors (got to hear and smell all kinds of interesting things from neighbors - I’ll leave it at that). Every night I was woken up between 2 - 3:30 by loud drunks returning from clubs…but it was a long weekend. Parking is HORRIBLE!!!!! Had to Uber for fear of not having a spot when I returned even though you’re supposed to have one per room. The tile in the bath tub was cracked and missing a chunk. Food at the lobby restaurant was overpriced for mediocre food.

I expected the rooms to have more beach aesthetic, more homeliness, atleast more decorations but the atmosphere has the same excitement as a regular motel 6 . Boring. Also if you go on a Saturday night don't expect to get sleep because there's noise until at least 3 am.

The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning in the garden units worked well. When you connected to the Wi-Fi it didn’t work. Could not use our phones while at the hotel. Very frustrating. The chairs around the pool were dirty and old. They need new chairs and umbrellas. The outside bar needs more fans. I will not stay here again.

Mattress was horrible basically had a indentation that was like sleeping in a hole. We asked for a different one they switched us to different room and had the same issue with that one too. Both rooms had noisy juveniles next to us. We had to reset our Bracelets numerous times to open the parking lot gates, and they never did operate at the pool gates. The staff did take off (1) resort fee of the 3 Nites for a whopping $45. We will be staying elsewhere until the renovations an upgrades are complete. On a positive, the Inside bar staff were pleasant and helpful.

When we got to the property, there was a resort fee and an incidental fee, which I’m suppose to get back incidental fee, but not yet. Not sure what the resort fee included, there wasn’t much besides beach chair(no umbrella) and towel. Coffee shop closed. I understand they are under construction. The floor in the room was big square plywood. It was smooth, but some moved, so idk if they are done with the floors or not. Our door didn’t seal properly and the bathtub was peeling. Good water pressure and beds were comfy. The outside of the motel was skeptical, the inside was better.

Well, it may have been going through some sort of renovation. The floors are dirty cement in the common areas and the landscaping is really lacking. The bed was comfortable but it was made with a sheet that was too small to tuck under the mattress so it was just loose and slid around the bed. The shower was very old and there was little water pressure. It also seemed like there was a troupe of river dancers staying in the room above us. Ultimately, it’s a hotel for people under 30 that are there for the beach party vibe.

Rooms spacious and clean. This is an excellent location. The grounds are spacious, with a few games to play, ie ping pong, chess. Set up is easy to maneuver, doors open to outside so easy access to fire pit, pool and BEACH! The beach bar is a great place to watch the sunset. Walkable to so many restaurants! Would stay again!! Loved it.

Definitely caters to a younger crowd. Amenities are more about activities, than luxury. Rooms are super basic, but the common spaces have plenty to offer. Be prepared to hike to your room, especially if on the 2nd floor. Extremely dog-friendly though (provided that your dog will pee on astroturf!)

We made reservations for one night July the 27th. We arrived art a little after 4pm and we had to wait 2 hours until 6pm to get our room. Once in the room the toilet was clogged they came to try to fix it but could only get it to drain really slow, so we could not use the toilet with out risk of overflowing. They could not move us to another room, because they were full. So, we had no choice but to stay and use the restrooms in the lobby or by the pool. Then the a/c unit was stuck on economy mode and only came on for three or four minutes at a time so we were sweating all night in bed. The next the the manager refused used to do anything for us other than refund out breakfast. Since we book thru Hotels.com he could not refund the room, but would not give us a voucher for a one night stay for a future date. We are very disappointed with Postcard Inn on the Beach. This was a one night stay and potentially could have been more future stays as we only live an hour away and visit St. Pete Beach often. Now we will never come back to Postcard Inn.

Our experience was amazing ! It was my husbands 40th birthday and I asked the manager if they could do something special and she delivered for sure ! We got early check in an upgraded room , free drink coupons and cabana with drinks and a cake that they even decorated with balloons . Steve at the front was super friendly and helpful and Summer our server at our pool cabana was absolutely amazing ! Even the maintenance guy was great ! We will be staying again soon!

This beach front hotel was the perfect location! Clean and cool vibes. Walkable to many restaurants and shops and the bus stop. We loved being able to walk right out to the beach, and walk back up to eat lunch! We would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone!

Love the location& the cool vibe! Big shout out to Brooke - she’s the waitress for the beach & the pool area ! She’s fantastic & keeps you well hydrated !! Free towels & loungers by pool & beach ! If you want a umbrella at the beach it’s $30 a day that’s includes 2 loungers - free loungers w/no umbrella in the back row! No phones in room but you can text the front desk they get right back to you in case you have any questions or need towels etc - it worked well! Free pool floats & noodles were nice little add in! Love the common area concept ! A cute little place! *** Note *** Rooms are being renovated - **make sure to request updated room !! Saturday’s are a big party at the beach bar open to the public for a younger crowd ! Stay at the pool that day . Everything is cashless on the property (not a fan - I prefer to use cash) Inside bar has happy hour everyday - nice touch! Grind sells coffee every morning if not your taste they are Close to all the stores ( 7/11, Dunkin’ Donuts, Publix isn’t that far either ) Be sure to hit up the PCI beach bar - great bartenders (Charlie) , Slyce next door - great pizza 🍕 Coconut Charlie’s is a great beach bar along with jimmy’s next door & Bongo’s just to name a few ! Definitely walk down the beach & hit them all! Looking forward to see it again when renovations are completed ! Thanks for a great getaway! 🏝️🍹☀️

The property is really cute and interactive. The beach bar top surface could use some fresh cement and maybe more liquor options. I went next door to have Myers rum punch. Its also what i prefer as my pina colada floater. Perfect beach location and great pool. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great place! I wanted a quiet getaway but also wanted to be near some action so it was the best of both worlds! The breakfast inside the hotel was great and the rice bowl and quesadilla at the outdoor bar was fantastic. It is also really nice to be able to walk to other places to eat like Crabby Bills and The Boulevard Burger.

One word to describe the PostCard Inn is “charming”. The location is convenient. The beach is clean and beautiful. I felt safe walking around at night . The beds are comfortable. I did take away one star for the water pressure in the hotel and the false advertising of cookies being available in the lobby. Anytime I asked if there were any cookies available I was told they make 20 of them and they’re typically gone as soon as they put them out.

This was my 2nd stay at PCI and can’t wait to go back!! The location is beyond ideal lots around in walking distance. The beach and pool make it the perfect beach getaway. We loved having breakfast at the lobby restaurant, Stamps, every day. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Grayson at the front desk was always so courteous and helpful!

It was a very affordable place to stay on the beach. The rooms we stayed in had been remodeled, and they were working on the rest. Picture of the room on their website looked much better than the rooms actually were but I was expecting that because of the low price of the rooms. Grounds were very clean and well kept. More of a college kid hang out but not a problem. Super nice beach and the staff made sure no one put up canopies in front of us. The food and presentation was much better than we expected. The waiter and the guy who made the omelettes to order, were super friendly and helpful. The food was pricey, but matched the quality and quantity you received. there was staff on the beach to take orders and would set up water sports for you.

I have stayed here for years and years and it gets worse each time the food was horrible. No one is taking care of those rooms.

Property room was older but kept clean. Nice pool and beach area. Staff helpful. Food was good.
