This is a beautiful historic hotel. We stayed on a Sunday night and we’re disappointed to find out the Tonga room is not open Sunday through Wednesday however the wonderful lady that checked us in arranged for a private tour of the Tonga room. We also took advantage of the rooftop garden, enjoying a bottle of wine and charcuterie. The concierge’s recommended a perfect walking distance little boutique Italian restaurant. We were traveling with my 85-year-old mother who cannot walk very far so this restaurant was a gem. I will definitely stay at the Fairmont again and hopefully come Wednesday through Saturday to enjoy the Tonga room.

You can feel the history of San Francisco in this fine hotel. They handsomely display it throughout the hotel and between that, great rooms, views, amenities and service plus the Tonga Room, it makes for a memorable stay!

Go see Tom Wolfe at the concierge desk! He makes miracles happen. My family of 5 was looking for same day Alcatraz Tour tickets as they were all sold out online. Tom made one phone call and had them in hand within 30 mins. A stellar example of the top notch service you'll experience at the Fairmont. The rooms were huge, clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The hotel itself is grand, unique, rich with history, well located, and beautiful. We'll certainly be staying again for our next trip to San Francisco.

We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont San Francisco in Nob Hill. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of classic San Francisco charm, but the highlight for us was definitely our corner room. The views were absolutely incredible. Being able to look out over the city and across the bay, especially as the light changed throughout the day, made the whole stay feel extra special. There’s something pretty unforgettable about waking up to those sweeping views of San Francisco and then seeing the city and bay lit up at night. We found ourselves just standing by the windows taking it all in. The location on Nob Hill was also perfect for exploring the city, and coming back to such a beautiful hotel at the end of the day made the experience even better. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and everything about our stay felt polished without losing the historic character that makes the Fairmont so iconic. We would absolutely stay here again. If you have the opportunity to book a corner room with a city and bay view, it’s worth it. Those views alone made our stay one we’ll remember for a long time.

King room was spacious and clean. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and has so much history. The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and friendly, and I’d stay here again in a heartbeat! We loved also loved using the coffee shop on site and had a lot of dun at Tuesday night trivia!
