HoteLumière at the Arch Hotel & Casino - A Caesars Rewards Destination

Hotel Bar was closed on a sold out saturday night. My room had bulge's and cracks in the ceiling.

Property says online that it has a pool, spa, and bar. All have supposedly been closed for over a year now. The rooms were disgusting the shower was still dirty and had all kinds of stuff all over the walls who knows what it is look like Snot or spit. The drapes in the room had stains on them the bed had stains on it and the carpet was disgusting there was caked on stuff look like where people threw up or something. Very disappointed that this is a Caesar's property.

No place to eat other than at the casino.

Front desk personnel doesn't care to look up and greet a guest. The parking is convenient. Everything in hotel is dirty, starting with the only elevator out of two that works. There's no pool or hot tub that used to work. All thread mills and elliptical machines (7!!!) are broken. Free weights are missing except for 15 pounds. I will never stay at Lumiere again. It used to be a beautiful place with Cascade bar and people socializing by the waterfall. Now it's a sad place to stay.

Room was very nice, clean, comfortable ... however, the property needs work. Pool not open, no vending machines, bar not open.

On the Expedia app it does not say that the pool is not open. The pool hasn’t been open since 2020, and should be updated on sites especially since I booked this hotel because it had a pool.

Overpriced and run down hotel. 4 elevators and only 1 works. Has been that way for years.

The bed was comfortable and shower had good pressure and hot water. Outside of that, things could be freshened up and/or updated. Bar inside wasn't operating nor was the interior fountain (these couple things could make a nice difference). We nearly ran over a busted whiskey bottle under our tire in the parking lot and there were several broken bottles around the parking lot for that matter. Little better security, cleanliness and updating could bring this place right back to a nice hotel!

Only one elevator available for the entire building to use crazy

Elevators still broken since last year… no ice machine on the 3rd floor… smoke coming in through vetalation in a non smoking room…. Mold in the bath tub and previous persons personal stuff still in the room like a tooth brush … wifi didn’t work

All staff were very rude. There was one gentleman working at the pizza and pasta restaurant that was kind and accommodating. The showers were dirty, the room looked very quickly flipped. AC barely managed to keep up. Rooms smelled like smoke. Vent was rattling so loudly in our friends room.

Oh man where to even begin. Let's start with there was a poop stain on our bed when we got to our first room. Then looking, there was a poop stain on the toilet seat as well. Hair still in tub. We went to the front desk, they said they were all booked but somehow found another room. If everything in the area wasn't booked up, trust me, we would have left. Second room was better (how can it be worse than a poop stain everywhere though) but still not clean but we wanted to move on with our "getaway" so we tried to find food in the area but there is nothing around this hotel. Its a scary area to walk around too. Hotel smelled like sewage, elevators dont work, no pool, the bar that use to be in the lobby area isn't open anymore. The staff at the front desk were rude and on their phones. The casino.. chairs are worn and buttons stick, and soda machines suck. I couldn't find much positivity in this stay. Never will stay here or visit here again. I suggest you don't either.

The hotel room was very dirty.

This appears to be an old Embassy Suites hotel that was sold to the casino and not taken care of. The floors in the room were dirty and you could tell when you got in the shower the dirt would run off your feet. The hotel could use some upkeep. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

This place was very dirty! Dried up blood on sheets, stuff all over the shower towels, we moved to not one room but three rooms during our stay at 1am due to the uncleanliness! Very disappointed since I paid a lot of money for the room!

We got in extremely late. The front desk clerk, while friendly, had no information on the electric charging station except for a vague indication of its location. Frustrating but not the end of the world. Our room, however, another story. It was absolutely disgusting. Sticky stains on surfaces, a shower that did not seem to have been cleaned, and worst, hair all over the towels. We were provided another room of course, but when we asked if there would be a reduced rate (the first room had been specifically booked for its arch view and the replacement had no view) the clerk said, “same sized room.” I normally wouldn’t have left a negative review about the general age, poor condition and smoky smell, as long as it was clean, but for the cost and extreme difficulty to navigate getting there and getting parked were also minor detractors.

Didn’t take any photos. There were stains on my sheets and the shower and toilet was dirty It was the middle of the night when I checked in and I was tired and sleepy didn’t feel like dealing with the inconvenience of changing rooms or waiting for front desk to fix, I just don’t think I would like to stay there again

Our hotel room smelled so badly of cigarettes that it felt nauseating to be in the room. Not only did it smell terrible but the carpet was damp and like slightly sticky.

Nonsmoking room had a stench of stale cigarette smoke. Water damage on the ceiling from a previous leak. Not as nice as it was a few years ago.

The room was nice and the check-in staff was courteous! We used the skywalk to walk to the casino and it’s a good idea to keep from having to go outside however the skywalk and the very long hallway to the casino entrance all smelled terrible. Even inside the casino in most places smelled like sewage. I’m not sure if it was because of the renovations they have going on but I would definitely make sure it didn’t smell before booking here again, which is a bummer because I was super excited about the room with view of the Arch!

Liked the room size

I could smell cigarette smoke nearly the entire stay. TV only offers cable, we even brought a fire stick but did not work with TV. Very outdated decor. Only switch on TV was an on/off switch and when trying to find knobs, ended up with a handful of dust from TV. Also, volume could only be turned down to 13, no further.

For $500 per night my expectations were probably high but I’ve stayed at $100 per hotels that had more amenities, more courteous staff and in better operating condition. Several customers rooms were not ready so that made getting any additional help from the staff impossible. There was literally a lobby full of people waiting making it hard to traverse the facility. The front set of elevators was out of order so that added to the frustration. No WiFi made it impossible to use our phones. Not enough outlets in the sleeping area so we could not use our sleep apnea machines. After 11pm the front desk refused to answer the phone. The hotel was clean and comfortable but no where near worth the money for the stay.

We had a small issue with the lack of cold water in our shower, but it was addressed immediately. There was only one (of 4) elevator operating. The repairs and inspection on the front two are due to be completed by end of May (2025). I believe the 4th elevator was in use for the ballrooms/meeting rooms in the lower level. We booked thru Expedia and were told at check-in that “smoking rooms were not sold to third party clients.” So, if you want a smoking room at a casino hotel, you MUST book through the hotel. The casino is not on the first floor of the hotel. It is across the street, attached to the hotel by an enclosed elevated walkway on the 4th floor (long walk and elevator rides to the casino). It is easier, depending on the weather, to go outside and cross the street. Very few non-Horseshoe related restaurants within walking distance of this area. Laclede’s Landing area is mostly vacant with a tattoo shop, Old Spaghetti Factory, and Kimchi Guys being the only active businesses. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but would only stay for 1 or 2 nights, just to enjoy the casino. We would find elsewhere to enjoy the city’s tourist destinations.

Check in and check out was quick and easy, as always. This was our 4th stay at Lumiere and we enjoy it every time. Rooms are extremely spacious.

The rooms were very nice but the wifi was very spotty to unusable in my room.

Room was large with separate living room and bedroom. Beautiful communal space with water wall and spaces for gathering.

The rooms should have been in better condition for the amount of money that it costs to stay. The ceiling has bad areas from water damage. The beds were broken down ( you get pulled to the middle of the mattress. Also, there aren’t microwaves in the rooms

It was close to everything. But did not like the staff except the manager. We had our luggage held and it took us about 30-40 minutes after we checked in to have someone grab our luggage which was literally in the same room. just that really ruined our impression of this hotel. We asked the lady who checked us in as we were being checked in to grab our luggage and she refused. She said someone else would grab it if we stood by the door. So that's what we did and no one came. Then we asked a lady who wasn't really doing much and she got mad at us and told us she was too "busy" and someone else would come. No one did. So then we had to stand all the way back in line and when we got to the front, all the manager did was grab a key or something from a lady who was standing BETWEEN THE TWO LADIES WHO REFUSED TO HELP US IN THE FIRST PLACE. walk ACROSS THE LOBBY WHICH ISN'T THAT BIG, UNLOCK THE DOOR AND VOIALA!! WE HAD OUR LUGGAGE. We would have gone back to our room but we had been walking around, were sweaty, our changes of clothes were in our suitcases, we were tired, the line of people was only getting longer, and had to be back out and ready for a concert in a couple hours so we needed our bags asap. It was super frustrating that the other staff members were too lazy to walk around reception and open a door that was maybe 25 feet away. A task that took 20 seconds, turned into 30-40 minutes that was completely unnecessary and wasted our time

Front desk staff at check-in couldn't care less. They also charged us a $15 fee for checking in 15 minutes early.

We waited a little over two hours for a room. The people at the front desk were getting a little snarky with people.

At first it was a frustrating checkin, because I knew I booked 3 rooms, and they said I had only 2. I had two bookings, and 2 confirmation numbers. They basically was telling me too bad, because I used a 3rd party (Hotels.com), and there were no rooms, but we had to pay $28.00 a piece for two rollaways. The lady wouldn’t even look at my booking on the phone, took my photo I’d, and our friends the Schaefer’s I’d. There was nothing else to do, and I was immediately blaming hotels.com, and typing to the chat agent, which by the way was no help. We went to our two rooms, then went to dinner. While at dinner, the lady that had checked us in, wish I would have gotten her name, called me, and said they figured out the mix-up, and the other booking was booked under the name Schaefer, which, Mr. Schaefer had given them his ID, at the beginning. She said to stop back by the hotel, pick up the room key, for the third room, and we will be refunded the rollaway charge. Long story, but the checkin lady took notice of my distress, and didn’t just forget about us, and figured everything out. I told her thanks for being such a caring detective.

Front Desk personal were absolutely unfriendly. No accommodations were made when my room was not in good condition and the TV would not work. One clerk ever told me that if I left my card would be charged in any case. And my knowledge was that the property had the property had available rooms. I will never go back.

Close and convenient to the Arch, convention center, casino, water front and other shopping and dinning areas.

If you have an event at the Dome this hotel is a fantastic location. Staff was very pleasant and easy to work with.

I like the fact that it was in the historic part of St. Louis and was still within walking distance of the Gateway Arch. Definitely do not recommend walking at night. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Everything was good similar to a resort stay. Walking distance to the arch. Connected to the casino and resturants. The staff were polite and professional! I read reviews after I booked and was hesitant about keeping the reservation. After my stay im glad i kept it everything about my stay was comfortable.

For the price of this hotel, I was expecting upscale. It is anything but upscale. It definitely needs to be updated. It is dirty and run down. The walk to get to the casino is really long. There may have been a drug deal going on out front when we arrived. I definitely did not feel safe here. I would not recommend staying here unless you can get your room for the same price as budget MOTEL. Definitely not worth the price.

The staff was friendly and on their game. The lobby and room were spacious, clean and comfortable. Location was great, with a short 10 minute walk to the Arch. Felt safe and comfortable with the walk. My only gripe was that some of the streets around the property were in real need of repair/closed.

It was a nice hotel, but a long walk to the room. For such a big hotel I would have liked it to be both restaurant and Baş in the hotel and not only the casino which again was a long walk. The room was nice and big, but the bed missed a bed sheet and the one that was there didn’t seem clean :( bathroom and the rest of the room was nice and clean.

The only thing u didn’t like us that I had to drive over 30 min for a coffee after 4

I like that it was right across from the casino. I didnt like that it was card only no cash and didnt offer no breakfast only one vending machine and it offered baked food but only 3 options.

Bed Sheets had stains on them! WiFi was not working! Only 1 entry open to the Casino so had to walk about a mile to get!! No restaurants open for breakfast, only Starbucks and had to walk a mile for that. No housekeeping avail for towels and had to go down to front desk to get anything that was needed.

The most convenient elevators near front desk weren’t working so we had a longer walk w luggage. No food options in hotel (just snacks) and casino has limited restaurant options. Couldn’t check in at the appropriate time (3pm) because room wasn’t ready. They called us at 4pm though.
