Nice resort, lots of kids and families. Some said to go after school starts, it not as crowded and very few children. That being said we did have our grand children with us and they had a ball!! Beach was close with some of the best snorkeling just 10 yards out! Green Hawaiian Sea Turtles and lots of colorful fish. Overall we were very pleased with everything.👍❤️

Too many pools that kids are allowed in. The adult pool at the Westin next door was small and people walked through the area constantly no privacy no music no bar Everything closed too early !!!

Liked the beach. Liked the boardwalk for walking. Liked the policy re lounge chairs and their enforcement of the policy. Restaurant options were limited. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Auntie's Kitchen was rather mediocre. Duke's nearby was better. Would have like to know beforehand that units have washer/dryer as we would have packed less.

Great family vacation. Stayed with kids and grandparents. Full kitchen allowed you to choose when to go out for meals and when to just cook in the unit. Barbecues were great. Beach right at the resort had great snorkeling. Kids and family had a great trip. Would stay again.

The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort was a perfect landing place in Maui. It had fantastic units with comfortable beds, full kitchen and laundry. The property is beautiful, shuttles make getting around easy. The beach is amazing The pricing all over Maui is just ridiculous especially coming from Canada, from charging $6 for a luggage trolley at the airport to $48 for a steak at the hotel. We love Hawaii and the people and understand the cost of shipping goods in ,but this can be a deterrent when looking at destinations, Mahalo

Very beautiful views, very clean. Kid friendly! Lots to do, honestly really do not need to leave the property. Staff so friendly and helpful. They also offer a guest lounge and locker room/showers for you and your family to rest. This option was so helpful as checkout is at 10am and no late checkout available, out flight wasn't until 11pm! Because of this awesome perk, we were able to hangout on the property and use the pools, eat at the restaurants and go shower before our flight! Also, they will hold your luggage for you in the bellman area while you still have fun! Also offered if you arrive super early and your room is not ready yet. I do with they had room service, but both restaurants had to go order options available. Parking is tight. You have to squeeze out of your door if you have an SUV or minivan. Wish they also offered a Luau like some of the other hotels do. That was really the only reason why we left the property.

Great property in perfect location adjacent to walking path & snorkeling beach. We loved our one-bedroom unit and enjoyed the resorts amenities including pools and restaurants. Well maintained, very clean, friendly staff, wish we could have extended our stay, but not easy to do at a timeshare property like you can at a hotel. That said, we wouldn't hesitate to return, next time for a longer visit. Mahalo!

I have been in Ka'anapali three times but this hotel was awful. First day: dirty sheets. Second day: needed a band aid and after couple of calls I was connected to security to get two band aids but no body showed up and I had to drive to buy two band aids. Third day: they took the pool towels from the room without any replacement and I had to spend a long time to get couple of pool towels. Fourth day: there was a baby dipper in the pool the entire day and they didn't clean the pool until next day and the dirty dipper was in the pool the entire time

Overall our stay here was enjoyable. I had read some mixed reviews before going so I was a bit nervous. Turns out none of them were accurate. The Wi-Fi worked everywhere, the staff was great and the hotel in general was very well kept. My only complaint would be that Westin classified our ocean view room as ocean front which turned out to be the first 6 blocks of rooms from the ocean. I paid extra expecting a different view but in the end was still very happy.

The hotel/resort was advertising the property with ocean view with Balcony. To our surprise there wasno ocean view or balcony that you can walk out to. It was a pop out balcony. Talking to the manager did not help either

It is a beautiful oceanfront resort with direct access to mile long swimmable beaches. My favorite part is to swim with the turtles, see other fishes and coral reefs. Rooms/bathrooms are spacious and grounds are kept meticulously. My only issue is I booked and paid for an ocean view studio villa, but from my room I can barely see the ocean. The view of the ocean is mostly blocked by the building of the Westin Ocean Villas North Kaanapali. I in was in building 2 with odd room numbers. This side of the rooms should not be categorized and marketed as ocean views, they are rather resort views. I am not sure if partial refund is possible, but surely that would be the right thing for the resort management to do. Thank you.

The property was very nice. We requested an ocean view but got a partial view. The sliding door was not opening for us at all. Probably because we were on the ground floor? I mentioned that this was my wife and I 38th anniversary. This was the best unit for Hotels.com customers.

Nice property, with good access to the beach, but I don't think we will go to this facility again. The staff were not polite. We had to wait for 15 minutes to check in to the resort, although there was no line. There was only 1 person at the check in desk at 2 PM in the middle of the day, who was on the phone while totally ignoring us and keeping us waiting. There are only 2 restaurants, with no options for fine dining, restaurant food is overpriced and very average. We had to walk to another tower every day to eat breakfast buffet, which by the way was very underwhelming and overpriced.

I actually own at this time share property but decided to pay for a week and go whale watching. First of all they were referring to my last name as my first name and could not find my reservation. I had reserved an ocean view room which ended up being the last room in the hall on second floor which looked directly into a cement wall while sitting in a chair on the balcony. If you stood up and leaned over the plastered balcony, you could see distant ocean in the trees. They would not upgrade, change rooms or address it. Actually very rude and told me to go through third party—-YOU. I had no choice except for to keep the room that I had to pay at the desk. I was disappointed that they advertise it as ocean view and it was the worst ocean view I ever got. The hotel can not help you at all once you book at hotels.com and parking is charged per day which was never mentioned. Disappointing. Your inventory are rooms not sought after.

We come to Maui once or twice a year. This time we were staying in the North building on a timeshare and decided to add one night and move to the south building. Were told at time of check in at the beginning of our stay in the North that when we changed over to the south they would expedite our check in at the time of transfer so we wouldn't have to wait all day with no room for the original check in at 4 since we had been on property for 6 days already. Day of transfer We check in to the south at 6:30 am. Were told they would expedite check in. So we had breakfast was done around 9:30 heard nothing. Decided to go hang out at the pool, 12 rolls around still nothing so I decide to go check at the front desk was told housekeeping still hadn't cleaned the room. Waited til 1:45 checked again still not ready. At 2:30 super frustrated asked to talk to manager. She comes out I explain all of it. She basically says yeah she checked and that's unacceptable we had been waiting 9 hours. She basically said housekeeping was just getting to the room now, the. she said it was a mantinance issue a screen had fallen off, and it would be 25 more minutes. She had every excuse in the book. You think the establishment of the size of the Marriott would have a protocol set up for check in, not letting housekeeping determine how the hotel is run and who checks in when. The manager we spoke to was clueless and definitely one of the worse experience we've encountered in all our visits to Maui.

We paid for an ocean view room, and we could not see the ocean at all. The staff/manager on site made us feel like it was our fault for booking through Orbitz instead of directly through them. They did offer to change rooms, but we had to check out and be without a room until we could check into another room with a subpar view (they showed us a picture). We love have coffee/wine on the balcony and we PAID for an ocean view, so this was very disappointing especially since we can't come Maui often.

This has been our Hotel of choice for over 10 years! There’s 2 Huge Westin Resort Property’s next to other! Love the beautifully kept property and the restaurant.. Fish Tacos are the Best! Breakfast choices are great and very filling! Resort Bus Transportation to Shopping on the Resort and to the local Shopping Centers are great .. Safeway Starbucks Clothing Stores,Walgreens and eateries. …

We really enjoyed the property and pool/spa are. Snorkeling was great! Room was nice but didn’t have a light for the toilet, which became a thing. You have to turn on the bathroom light to get the toilet light on. That lead to waking up unnecessarily if you forgot to close the bathtub doors. Also, the food was awful. We had to leave the resort to eat which was a big bummer.

Beautiful hotel & grounds, very large and spread out. Our room was right above smoking area so that was unfortunate but we had a lovely view anyway :) Breakfast food at Aunties was not good & we should’ve sent it back, the other restaurant was wonderful for lunch, dinner & happy hour
