Picked the place for the pool & hot tub. Both were closed & most of first floor. Room was very good.

Don't let the term "indoor pool" fool you. Doesn't mean it's warm enough to swim in colder months. Ridiculously cold and useless. It has a heating system - probably still in the box.

The pool and hot tub was billed as indoor. And it was indoors. But, with no windows. It was 38°in Waco that night. We could use the hot tub. But, not the pool.

The elevator was very sketchy during our 2 day stay. Upon first arriving, it would work it just people were on but not if you needed the cart for your luggage. Upon leaving, it wouldn’t work at all, the doors would close and open immediately over and over so we had to carry all of our luggage down stairs. Not a deal breaker, but really inconvenient since there was only 1 elevator.

Staff were friendly, and the place was fairly clean. We enjoyed the breakfast bar … the only negatives were the fitness center was closed because of broken glass on the floor and the bathroom had minor molding in the shower and there was paint chipping on the bathroom walls.

Booked room online. Got to hotel and checked in then went to park truck and car trailer. There was not adequate parking. Asked about parking in adjacent parking lot or in front of hotel and Clerk said it was all a ToW Zone.. i had a classic car and New truck and could not take the risk to get my vehicle towed so i didnt stay. Since I booked with Hotels .com clerk could not cancel my reservation. Or move me to another hotel with adequate parking...

We were disappointed in the condition of the room - there was a hole in the wall, a missing lampshade, and the carpet was wet near the refrigerator. We were especially upset when we went down to the indoor pool/hot tub and the room was freezing cold! The "windows" were actually openings to the outside. And the hot tub was only lukewarm. So it was not even an option to get in it in that cold room! The breakfast was good and the staff kind, but we were overall disappointed in the location.

Key issues, was told the bar code had to be just right for room insert. 2 of 3 exterior door key ads weren’t working. Bathroom door wouldn’t fully close. No exhaust fan. Elevator wonky and required intervention. Only nice part was AC was good in room and they had lemonade, tea and cookies for families of college graduates. Total price for two nights was over $600. Price gauging due to Baylor graduation weekend.

Under renovation so no hot tub or pool available, so price a bit high. AC/heater was extremely noisy

The hotel needs a little bit of a maintenenace work done: keycard readers didn't work well at all, both my husband and I, who are well able to understand how to work keycards hard a difficult time opening every door. The readers themselves had obvious wear to their faceplates. Our toilet had issues flushing. There were several dogs on our hallway, about 4, I believe and I didn't mind the barks so much, but I'm not used to having any barks at hotels. At one point I thought there was going to be a fight between the two largest ones. I didn't have breakfast, but my husband said that morning the food was just ok. The next morning it was better. The stair climber was wonky and I think that was due to assembly issues. The joints didn't line up properly, so the right arm didn't glide smoothly. I told a staff member and they were appropriately apologetic. The exercise room had had more than usual for this type of hotel: hand weights, medicine balls, and a few extra machines. I liked the pool and glad it wasn't as cold as it should have been for April. It was heated so tepid bathwater temp. I had points so I can't complain at how much I spet for this stay, and would stay again since some of what I mentioned can be fixed and won't necessarily be the same if I went back: dogs not being there, keyreaders being fixed etc.

Once we walked in the room, we were over taken by a strong malodor. When we asked a clerk to consider giving us another room he told us he will work on it since they were somewhat booked. I retired two outs later only to find out he had left and did nothing to assist. The next clerk showed us another room that they had and it had a large water leak. I don’t know how this place is still open considering it’s condition. The property is dilapidated, the bedding is filthy dirty.

Our check in was very smooth and efficient. The room seemed clean but there were two dead crickets and live baby roaches in the bathroom.

There were roaches in the bathtub.. the bed was lumpy… the room looked like it was half remodeled not a pleasant stay at all

Probably due to the many construction workers staying but the floors were very dirty with clumps of dirt EVERYWHERE even late at night when we checked in and the crews would have already been in their rooms for hours. All dirt still everywhere the next morning. Breakfast staff were friendly and accommodating. Desk staff sat slouched over in their seats as if it was an inconvenience to deal with you. We thought from the Expedia photos it looked like a newer LaQuinta that we have stayed in before, but this was very run down even though it wasn't that old. Probably won't trust the brand again for a future stay.

Cozy hotel, only thing that I have to say negative is that our bathroom didn't seem like it was mopped or even swept for that matter

Property was dated and dark. Questionable parking lot safety/lighting. Bed and pilliows were uncomfortable. Shower had poor water pressure. For the price I paid this weekend it was disappointing to say the least.

Really friendly staff and clean room. The hotel is a little noisy from hwy outside and I was near the elevator. Pillows were all a bit hard but overall a nice place.

The room above us had a kid running around until at least 12:30 - 1:00 am. I finally was able to go to sleep. The same thing the 2nd night. Families with kids need to be in the 1st floor.

Stayed one night after a concert. Hotel was very clean and the staff was very professional and kind. Downside was the plug ins in the bathroom didn’t work..had plug my curling iron near the coffee bar. Not a horrible thing but not convenient. The room was clean and quiet. Very comfortable! Would recommend this hotel and would stay again!

Close to the end of a road trip. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Everyone was helpful, pleasant and professional. Enjoyed my stay.

I utilized the online check-in option, but when I arrived, the front desk advised that our keys were already picked up. (Not sure by who since we hadn’t been there yet). So then she was confused but gave us a room key. This was 10PM…. And we walked into the room to find the room occupied, and the occupants sleeping!! We went back down and the front desk clerk said “I was afraid that room was occupied”! WHY ON EARTH WOULD SHE GIVE US A KEY TO A ROOM THAT SHE WASN'T SURE IT WAS UNOCCUPIED!? So then she proceeds to hand us keys to a room that she “knows for sure is unoccupied”. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional - particularly that late at night.

When checking in the front desk wasn’t very friendly. Looked like he was mad that he had to work. Makes bi sense why you get a job that deal with customers on a daily basis and yet your rude. To many hotels in the area and definitely will not stay at this one again.

Very accommodating. Even changes room assignment when they discovered one of us is handicapped. People could not have been nicer!

Customer service sucks

The hotel was nice, modern and clean. The front desk staff was friendly, sympathetic and helpful. I stayed with my pets because my A/C went out in the middle of August they were so nice and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The desk clerk was so friendly at check in and gave great advice of how to get to the restaurant next door without driving. The rooms are very clean. The facility is going through a renovation and update on the third floor, so there was construction going on during the day and boxes of furniture and building supplies placed around the outside of the facility, but no problem was created for guests. The breakfast was great. Luigi's Italian Restaurant next door was outstanding for supper! The motel is located an easy drive from Magnolia Center attractions.

Very nice and convenient location. Clean and friendly staff.

Location was quiet and not busy, plenty of shops and restuarants within a short distance.

Nice location; easy to navigate around Waco

The property is being remodeled, which is fine, but rooms should be finished if booking a guest in a room. Our bathroom had an electrical outlet without a plate cover with just masking tape over it. There were no towel rods and the sink didn’t have a stopper, which is not good for a contact lens wearer. There is a smoke detector right above your the bed that flashes a light throughout the night, which disturbed our sleep.Breakfast is not served until 7:00, which is late for people traveling across country. The gentleman working the desk in the morning was very nice and did allow us the get some breakfast which was mostly set up by 5:45. I don’t know why they just don’t start serving at 6:00, if the food is already out. There was also a lot of drywall dust and mud that could have been swept up in the halls and elevator. We were disappointed in our stay

It was easy to get in and out. The parking was good. The staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was good and loved the waffles and variety. I think it should have been restocked as people ate things. The coffee bar was very nice.

Quiet restful room. Clean, pleasant. Great breakfast. Just what I needed for a respite after a frenetic day

The room was very comfortable and I had a lot of privacy. I was there for work reasons so it was nice to come back to a dark and quiet room with no loud disturbances. One night I tried to use the hot tub and pool and it was full of screaming children for hours but I decided to go downtown instead and have a drink. Other than that the breakfast was good and the coffee was the best hotel coffee I’ve ever had! Didn’t have that terrible bitter aftertaste most hotels have.

This review covers a time when renovations were actively in progress and a holiday as well. So things like the pool and jacuzzi were unavailable, active construction and painting were in progress. Additionally the promised breakfast which normally included eggs and sausage as well as cook your own waffles were not included as it was a Holiday a brown bag "breakfast" was provided, it was slightly better than nothing. The room was a suite which had 2 TVs however only 1 remote. The room as a whole was in good condition. Overall I would return once the renovation was complete with foreknowledge that Holidays may affect what is offered, without a subsequent adjustment of price.

Hotel was nice. I stayed with my 3 kids. We felt safe. However, breakfast ran out really quickly. It wasn’t refilled so if you decided to sleep in a bit, you missed out.
