Can’t say enough about our stay at 1 Hotel. Complimentary ride service to anywhere under 2 miles, walking distance to ferry marketplace, and a great walk to fisherman’s/other destinations. Fantastic staff and concierge always willing to help book any tickets and restaurant recommendations. Got a superb deal through Expedia and will come back here again!

Have stayed at other 1 Hotels so was exicted to try one of their new ones. Have to say it was extremely disappointing. Rooms are super nice and comfortable but restaurant experience was poor (all self serve, not full service) and there are zero amenities, even though you pay a $42 daily amenity fee. Just a tiny windowless gym room and thats it. No bar, no rooftop, no pool, no complimentary coffee but still a high daily fee. Also, i know the area is slim on parking but a $69/day parking fee is pretty steep as well. So yeah super nice rooms as you'd expect from a 1 Hotel but just know its just a crash pad, don't expect to really hang at the hotel or have a fun experience outside your room.

Hotel rooms are clean and quite lovely, gym is quite disappointing, tiny, hot, windowless, surprised and disappointed! My biggest issue was check-in! Kelly was quite arrogant and rude, shocked that this was our first impression..not impressed…after that staff has been wonderful and hotel is quite nice!

Valet was a long wait as well as a backup of cars delaying our departure. The front office seems to have an internal problem communicating guest request with one person telling you no problem to have another employee tell you that cannot happen. Hotel advertises free in room amentities on their website for suites, only to find out that does not include if you use Hotel.com. $30 for a beer and a Mimosa. Overall not impressed.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was nice a clean. I had the waterfront view and was able to have a great view of the bay bridge. I was also able to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the terrace. Everything was in walking distance. The hotel also offers free car service that will take you within a 2 mile radius.

We were informed the bar would be closed all day for an event; but, we were told complimentary wine and cookies would be offered in the lobbybrom 5pm on. That was a lie, and we were then informed 7:30 .....nothing! Your hotel is expensive, but very nice: having no access to food and drink facilities diminished the hotel....

The aesthetic is amazing, the decor and the service is impeccable. The staff varied in certain interactions I had. As someone who doesn't like to bother people, I found some staff to be extremely helpful whereas 2 seemed to be extremely snarky and rude. It was a wonderful stay in the areas of cleanliness, ambiance, and overall service. I found the stay to be very enjoyable and would highly recommend 1 Hotel's service to anyone that is interested in staying. The spa however was beyond expensive for the window of time allowed for services. There are 5 star spas that charge less than this one, the view is nice from the rooftop, however you will be spending up to 300 dollars for a 50 minute massage which isn't all that common at most places. Overall, 8.5/10 stay.

The front desk and valet were great! I wasn’t happy about the spots on the bathroom floor but the shower was amazing and everything else was pretty clean. I love the vibes of the hotel, feels like you’re at a spa. I will stay again!

The front desk staff was great, the hotel felt clean and smelled great. The beds were comfortable too. I would stay here again for the price I paid. The room was offered at $399 but after resort fees and taxes it was $500. An average price for that area. But I did feel like everything else was way over priced. I was changed $11 for a bottle of water, the valet parking is $100 a night and 2 small lattes cost me $26. I didn’t like how that felt .

The property was gorgeous. I was disappointed in our room. We splurged for a very expensive room with a private terrace. All of the cushions were off the terrace furniture so we could not utilize it. The view was also terrible from what is supposed to be one of the best rooms. Backs of buildings, a/c and pipes, etc. Just disappointing.

Very nice hotel with pretty interiors. Location is great — away from the hustle and bustle but close to main lines of public transit. Only complaint was with bed / pillows and in-room AC being confusing. We didn’t sleep well. Otherwise, 10/10.

Hotel is very good located and look good BUT the bathroom is very small and needs maintenance because wc has a leak or something that maked water noise all night and sand clock in the shower doesn't work. Coffee supplies were empty. AC starts working in the morning eventhough it was OFF.

We stayed two nights here because my husband was participating in the marathon and our usual hotel was fully booked. I reserved a room w/ a king bed and city view. The “city view” was slightly disappointing as it was more of the rooftop A/C area with a small square liking out onto Embarcadero. But it was fine, we weren’t there for city views so I didn’t let that bother me. Within being in our room for a couple hours, the sliding barn-door to our bathroom malfunctioned and when I informed the front desk, they said it would be a couple hours to fix but they would move us to another room in the meantime. I accepted because I didn’t want our family of 3 to have to deal with using the bathroom with no privacy!! However, upon seeing the room we were moved to, it really felt like a downgrade to me IMO. While the layout of the room was more or less identical, the room was definitely smaller and the view was even worse. I requested that we be moved back to our original room once the door was fixed and they said they would honor that. Anyway, the reason I am bringing all of that up is because under any other circumstances, something like that would've likely spoiled the entire stay and left a bad taste in our mouths about the experience. The staff here go above and beyond and went above and beyond to ensure that we really couldn’t complain about anything. The service was always top tier from every single employee. They went above and beyond every time.

However, I was very disappointed with the service and lack of transparency regarding the parking fee (this should have been disclosed at at the front desk during check-in). Additionally, I had a rather unpleasant time when I drove up to get checked in. The valet driver assumed I was there to pick someone up and was visibly surprised when I said I was there to check in. This was definitely one of my best hotel stays. I love to travel and finding a place with such great service and a lovely aesthetic always makes the trip so much better. The staff is kind and helpful and the rooms are beautiful. A wonderful hotel that I will definitely return to.
This was definitely one of my best hotel stays. I love to travel and finding a place with such great service and a lovely aesthetic always makes the trip so much better. The staff is kind and helpful and the rooms are beautiful. A wonderful hotel that I will definitely return to.

I booked an alcove king room for my husband and I. We checked in early, and our room was not ready yet so we checked our bags and went to our concert. When we returned our room was ready, however when we got to our room it was not a king bed and was two queens. When I called to the front desk, they told us no other rooms would be available and all they offered was an $80 breakfast credit for the following day, even after explaining to them that I am 32 weeks pregnant with a pregnancy pillow and wanted to be in the room my husband and I booked. We were so excited to stay here and were really disappointed, especially for the service at what was a luxury hotel. The next morning when I called to order breakfast and explained that there was a credit given to us I was also given pushback. Just overall really disappointed in the service here.

Hotel rooms are clean and quite lovely, gym is quite disappointing, tiny, hot, windowless, surprised and disappointed! My biggest issue was check-in! Kelly was quite arrogant and rude, shocked that this was our first impression..not impressed…after that staff has been wonderful and hotel is quite nice!

Everything was spectacular. This is the kindest staff I have ever encountered at a 1 Hotel with the best service (and I’ve stayed at every U.S. property. They truly cared about my fiancée and I having a wonderful celebration for our recent engagement and we will be returning for every anniversary. Bravo to the management team!!

We stayed two nights here because my husband was participating in the marathon and our usual hotel was fully booked. I reserved a room w/ a king bed and city view. The “city view” was slightly disappointing as it was more of the rooftop A/C area with a small square liking out onto Embarcadero. But it was fine, we weren’t there for city views so I didn’t let that bother me. Within being in our room for a couple hours, the sliding barn-door to our bathroom malfunctioned and when I informed the front desk, they said it would be a couple hours to fix but they would move us to another room in the meantime. I accepted because I didn’t want our family of 3 to have to deal with using the bathroom with no privacy!! However, upon seeing the room we were moved to, it really felt like a downgrade to me IMO. While the layout of the room was more or less identical, the room was definitely smaller and the view was even worse. I requested that we be moved back to our original room once the door was fixed and they said they would honor that. Anyway, the reason I am bringing all of that up is because under any other circumstances, something like that would've likely spoiled the entire stay and left a bad taste in our mouths about the experience. The staff here go above and beyond and went above and beyond to ensure that we really couldn’t complain about anything. The service was always top tier from every single employee. They went above and beyond every time.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It was nice a clean. I had the waterfront view and was able to have a great view of the bay bridge. I was also able to watch the 4th of July fireworks from the terrace. Everything was in walking distance. The hotel also offers free car service that will take you within a 2 mile radius.

Beautiful sustainable hotel in an excellent location, across from the ferry building on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. We’re able to walk everywhere- even at night- and feel safe. Our room was so quiet and comfortable. We don’t want to leave and will definitely be back!

Fantastic location near the Embarcadero with an amazing view of the Bay Bridge! Beautiful, unique, and well appointed hotel with a strong eco-slant. They even incorporated live plants throughout and repurposed materials from the local area. Comfy bed and a nice bar! Highly highly recommend!! A favorite hotel now and I’ve been to many many luxury hotels around the world (at the risk of sounding extremely bougie) haha

We booked a trip for our baby moon/birthdays and we are so pleased with our stay. The room was immaculate, service was outstanding and we liked the area where the hotel is located. Also, the restaurant onsite was delicious! We mentioned during check in that we were expecting and celebrating our babymoon and Christina at the front desk surprised us with a gift for our baby! Our stay felt very special!

Beautiful, sustainable property with excellent views of the bay and well located across the street from the ferry build. The rooms are clean and have natural healthy materials, filtered water if available. Since the weather is mild in SF I found the down comforter to be too warm and wished that they had lighter bedding. Service and staff is very good and the restaurant has delicious, healthy organic food. The line to order breakfast, however, was confusing and inefficient. They need more people taking orders or should provide table service.

The front desk staff was great, the hotel felt clean and smelled great. The beds were comfortable too. I would stay here again for the price I paid. The room was offered at $399 but after resort fees and taxes it was $500. An average price for that area. But I did feel like everything else was way over priced. I was changed $11 for a bottle of water, the valet parking is $100 a night and 2 small lattes cost me $26. I didn’t like how that felt .

We were informed the bar would be closed all day for an event; but, we were told complimentary wine and cookies would be offered in the lobbybrom 5pm on. That was a lie, and we were then informed 7:30 .....nothing! Your hotel is expensive, but very nice: having no access to food and drink facilities diminished the hotel....

Loved this property. Upgraded our room with a fantastic view of the water. Very walkable. Hotel car Audi was wonderful perk to drive us to dinner. Very eco friendly. Great breakfast! We reserved rooftop tubs-worth every penny. Complete luxury with beautiful rooftop view. Can’t wait to come back:)

Hotel can be very loud due location ans design. Otherwise beautiful well appointed rooms and amazing central location to visit SF. They were aggressive on the upsell at checkin but did not deliver on promises so at check out they refunded the up-sale. All very fair in the end.
