Most comfortable bed ever. Adjacent to boardwalk and ocean. Quiet and peaceful. The hotel offers small bites of food and drinks which were very good. Great service. Thank you Alex. In the morning a wonderful basket of delicious coffee, OJ, and pastry is delivered to your door. Nice touch.

I saw this place on Instagram, and it’s even more beautiful in person. The location is just perfect, right by the ocean with a lovely view out of the window. The room was clean and boutique-style. You park in front of your room, which is safe and easy to access. I went to the bar for a cheese board and wine by the fire pit. Breakfast was just a nice touch, with delivering a picnic basket outside of your door filled with coffee, pastries, and mimosa ready to be enjoyed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they gave me recommendations. Overall I enjoyed the hotel, and I have been telling my friends to visit as well.

We stayed in a charming ocean view studio/cottage across from Moonstone beach for a few nights in December. The rooms are located across two adjacent properties - you will either stay in the site where the lobby is located or need to take a very short drive to the property next door. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. I enjoyed the coastal Californian decor and thoughtful touches, like a basket of Erewhon snacks for purchase, a retro Smeg mini-fridge, the cozy electric fireplace, and the Aesop toiletries. The hotel charged $17/night (plus taxes) for a breakfast basket with fresh orange juice, local coffee, and pastries (delivered to your room in the mornings), WiFi, overnight parking, and bike rentals. We didn't rent the bikes, but there was a fleet of cute beach cruisers on site. The area is quiet and sleepy, even during the holiday season. The beachfront hotels in Cambria are mostly all located along a dark stretch of road, a mile away from the downtown area. The roads are not well illuminated at night, so be careful walking or driving after the sun goes down. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay - it was a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because the Orbitz booking site said breakfast for our specific room was included, but I still had to pay the extra amenity fee and taxes during check-in.

Love it here. Although you don’t have the option for ocean front view you do have a partial view and everything else makes up for it. The lounge area with prime ocean views is quaint, comfy, and perfect for snacks, a cocktail, or to relax. Mornings you’re greeted with picnic basket with pastries and hot coffee and mimosas. Beds are comfortable and all the Aesop bath products are lovely. Definitely coming back!

This stay was a dream. From the complimentary little breakfast basket to the ollaliberry hot toddy in the evening by the fire pit, everything was wonderful. The staff was always so wonderful and gave us many recommendations to eat. Took morning and evening strolls right across the street at moonstone beach. The front desk even let us know when sunset would be so we would not miss it. Its conveniently located and a great stay if your going to Hearst castle just 10 minutes away. We will most definitely be back

Very nice property. The issue we had was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The floor were disgustingly dirty. I used the towel to clean up water on the floor, showed that the floors were not clean or sanitary. I shared this with the manager on duty and she said she would follow up with me. Have not heard back.

Cambria is a very friendly town, the view from the room and lobby is so beautiful and can’t describe with words. Just the ocean view room will be kinda noisy during the midnight cuz the sound insulation of the room is not that good:) ppl that’s sensitive to noise or sounds maybe can choose the room in the middle and cross the road, walk to the amazing seaside. The pastry and orange juice for breakfast are the best I’ve ever had in Cali;)

White Water is a fantastic place to stay. It's located directly across the street from the ocean and has beautiful views. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious, modern, and have a romantic feel. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend staying at White Water.

We stayed 1 night in September. It was a hot day and found the room to be quite warm when we checked in and they gave us a fan. A ceiling fan would be beneficial in the small room. The beds were comfortable and the room was nicely decorated but small so our suitcases took up most of the room. The front desk had a lovely lady who checked us in and recommended a great restaurant in the area. The area has nice beaches but unswimmable. Great walk on the boardwalk and wonderful sunset

The lounge is pretty cute, cozy…nice ambiance. The room is clean, no odor, cool, relaxing and the location is walkable…just across the beach. What we don’t like though is the bathroom as it doesn’t have a lock and there’s no shower door which is somehow uncomfortable…as if lacking for sense of privacy.

The Moonstone beach location of this property is excellent. Staff was also great. From there, everything just goes downhill. The double queen rooms are very small, 250 esf, and there is barely room to move around. There are no chairs, no desk, etc. Not even room to put a suitcase stand. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. The room also feels very old. Windows are worn out, floors look worn out, just old. No room to sit your luggage or anything else. The double queen rooms are very small, 250 esf, and there is barely room to move around. There are no chairs, no desk, etc. Not even room to put a suitcase stand. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. The room also feels very old. Windows are worn out, floors look worn out, just old. No room to sit your luggage or anything else. I have always wanted to stay at White Water but unfortunately it was very disappointing. My expectation was high because of the room rates being higher than any other hotel options around. I thought you will get more an exclusive and exceptional experience. This is not any different than a good Cambria hotel but only polished from the outside and offer you “luxury” amenities such as Aesop hand soap, shampoo, lotion etc… that they also charge you for using them. They give a “breakfast basket” in the morning that includes coffee, orange juice and 2 small slices of banana bread. They have charged us $100 pet fee but we haven’t received any dog bed, bowl or treats that you usually get in a hotel that advertises themselves at this quality. They are “dog friendly” but they don’t allow dogs in the lobby area so you can only sit outside if you would like enjoy a drink or coffee. The rooms are very simple, they are not really made with good quality materials. The staff could have been more friendlier. I would say, have a look at other options before deciding only for the vibes that you see from outside of this hotel.

This place was great. We booked it last minute and they were very professional and accommodating. The room matched the photos, the staff were wonderful and they even delivered a fun breakfast picnic basket to our doorstep the next morning. I really enjoyed my one night visit here.

Staying here for a night was absolutely perfect. The staff goes above and beyond. Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and they upgraded us to a king suite for free. I just love the cute little freebies like the slippers and in the morning they drop off a mimosa kit, pastries, and local coffee in a hot thermos! We had such a cute time riding the bikes (also free) that are first come first serve, to the little downtown. Another highlight was taking the lantern provided in the room on a romantic little night stroll to the Sea Chest restaurant at night. This place really has experience, aesthetic, and hospitality nailed down! Kevin, in specific, was so lovely. I wish I could remember the names of each staff member too because really everyone we encountered was so sweet. We want to come back ASAP and relive our perfect 24 hours here! Very nice property. The issue we had was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The floor were disgustingly dirty. I used the towel to clean up water on the floor, showed that the floors were not clean or sanitary. I shared this with the manager on duty and she said she would follow up with me. Have not heard back.

We stayed in a charming ocean view studio/cottage across from Moonstone beach for a few nights in December. The rooms are located across two adjacent properties - you will either stay in the site where the lobby is located or need to take a very short drive to the property next door. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. I enjoyed the coastal Californian decor and thoughtful touches, like a basket of Erewhon snacks for purchase, a retro Smeg mini-fridge, the cozy electric fireplace, and the Aesop toiletries. The hotel charged $17/night (plus taxes) for a breakfast basket with fresh orange juice, local coffee, and pastries (delivered to your room in the mornings), WiFi, overnight parking, and bike rentals. We didn't rent the bikes, but there was a fleet of cute beach cruisers on site. The area is quiet and sleepy, even during the holiday season. The beachfront hotels in Cambria are mostly all located along a dark stretch of road, a mile away from the downtown area. The roads are not well illuminated at night, so be careful walking or driving after the sun goes down. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay - it was a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because the Orbitz booking site said breakfast for our specific room was included, but I still had to pay the extra amenity fee and taxes during check-in.

The beds were comfortable and the room was nicely decorated but small so our suitcases took up most of the room. I saw this place on Instagram, and it’s even more beautiful in person. The location is just perfect, right by the ocean with a lovely view out of the window. The room was clean and boutique-style. You park in front of your room, which is safe and easy to access. I went to the bar for a cheese board and wine by the fire pit. Breakfast was just a nice touch, with delivering a picnic basket outside of your door filled with coffee, pastries, and mimosa ready to be enjoyed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they gave me recommendations. Overall I enjoyed the hotel, and I have been telling my friends to visit as well.

The room was clean and toiletries were high end. Large walk in shower. Robes, sandals, beach towels and beach blanket were provided. Daily housekeeping. Overall would highly recommend.

This stay was a dream. From the complimentary little breakfast basket to the ollaliberry hot toddy in the evening by the fire pit, everything was wonderful. The staff was always so wonderful and gave us many recommendations to eat. Took morning and evening strolls right across the street at moonstone beach. The front desk even let us know when sunset would be so we would not miss it. Its conveniently located and a great stay if your going to Hearst castle just 10 minutes away. We will most definitely be back

The location of The Whitewater is excellent, right across from the beach and walking trails along the coast. The staff was good and helped with a great dinner recommendation and reservation. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious, great bathroom. However no AC and only small window for ventilation. When we pulled up to the property, we noticed plastic tarps on the roof in several places. Leaks? From the outside, most hotels along the strip look pretty much the same so I’m not sure about the big price difference. Other hotels were about 2/3’s less. Breakfast in morning was brought to our door and had excellent coffee and fresh oj. Pastries not great. Nice hotel, but for the price I expected a bit more.
