Extended Stay America Suites - St Louis - Fenton

I assume the property is remodeled but i never heard or saw workers. The hallways that had flooring were dirty and had not been vacuumed. The hallway on the second floor had no flooring. Bags of trash were stacked in the halls for days. And the place smelled of pot smoke.

This place doesn’t have ice machines and the grab and go breakfast was a small muffin! People were up until after midnight running the halls and playing loud music! We felt like the people in the room beside us were very inconsiderate yelling and screaming across the hall! Had to inform the front desk of all the screaming!! Walls are paper thin! The bathroom didn’t look like it was cleaned at all! The one towel you get was crusty! The bedspread looked like a shower curtain!

Lobby smelled like cat pee. Hallways smelled terrible. Room smelled clean, but 2/3 smoke detectors were beeping because of low/no battery. Door to bedroom broke apart into 3 sections. Wouldn’t stay w/o working smoke detectors. Expedia couldn’t confirm our cancellation because the hotel phones were down. Now we have to call in Monday to try to get a refund.

Drity, property out of hot water, maintaince not available till day after. No one ever answers phones. Front desk said is broken.

The bathroom was dirty. The security doors fr9n parking lot did not close and lock. Reception person said the doors had not been fixed in a month. Communications about amenities in room were very poor.

The phones for the hotel dont work so you cant call them at all. Plus the computer system keeps letting them over book rooms. So when you go to check in. Chances are your room wont be available at all. They even still tried to charge me for the rokm even though there was no rooms available. I would not recommend staying here!

The staff were all wonderful! Friendly,attentive,hard working. The staff is overwhelmed! They are short staffed and need help! It's noisy with constant construction and out of control kids running the halls all night. Carpets ripped up and never replaced,workers were super sloppy painting and didn't clean up properly leaving paint all over fixtures and places paint shouldn't be,for some reason they removed all of the bathtubs replacing them with very nice showers but I feel they should've kept a few rooms with tubs so people like me with spine conditions that need a hot bath to help with pain could have the option to choose a room with a tub instead of having no other option besides a shower,the washers and dryers are always out of order,the lock on the door leading into the building is broken so anyone off the street can get in building (unsafe) and they have no vending machines but instead sell snacks and drinks in the lobby but never have much available! Extended Stay needs to step up and start appreciating their hard working employees,hire more help,finish the construction,fix everything that's broken and clean this place up or it's going to get shut down like so many other hotels in this area! This used to be a beautiful,clean properly running hotel when it was Towne Place. Extended Stay is letting this place go in a super bad way!!! Step up your game!!!

Filthy. Office looks like a construction zone. Bathroom door in office did not even have doorknob. Elevator not working have to haul Luggage up 2 flights. Beds are just cots Sheets & blanket very thin and scratchy. No hot water Just terrible

I went in to the office to check in & canceled my reservation instead of checking in. The HVAC was out for the entire property. The rooms had their windows open with fans in the windows. Dirty & in disrepair including the office area. Got a bad feeling & did not feel safe based on some of the other tenants on the property. There seemed there could have been illegal business transactions going on. I immediately booked a room at a better hotel & I left this property as quickly as I could.

Front desk staff was very unfriendly, especially when she told me that my room was already booked. Her manager did find a room for me (thank you!), but the elevator didn't work, the lobby smelled of smoke, and the hallways were dirty. The room was very nice, though. Clean and lots of room.

The room not cleaned well. The bathroom door and frame had been forced open by a previous occupant, and was not usable. I reported it, but was not offered another room. We stayed until morning and left. No more Extended Stays for us ever again.

The tv did not work. The floor was very sticky. It looked like soap that had dried over the entire floor.

Bug bites causing hives. Super unclean. Sheets and bedding dirty. Didn’t want to use the shower it was so gross. Got up and left at 3 am because it was so bad.

It was so filthy, kitchen was disgustingly filthy… tv in weird spot, door handle was broken, reeked of cigarette smoke, door to inside building is broken… I do not feel comfortable, clean or safe here.

This hotel is in desperate need of some cleaning!! I have never satyed anywhere with a bathroom so disgusting. There were, what looked like, burn holes in the curtains. The sink wouldnt drain. The hall way smelled of rotten fish. It was not a good experience.

Baseboards and floors were dirty. The floors turned our feet black. There were no utensils, pots, pans, cups, plates in kitchen. Entire kitchen cabinets were empty. In order to cook we had to go buy all kitchen supplies needed. It defeated the purpose in getting a room with a kitchen to cook. Oven door would not close. No big trashcan in kitchen. No dish soap. We found a used diaper in the couch cushions. Was stuffy and smelled of strong smoke in the hallways and stairway. Check in was wonderful. Beds were comfy and clean. Centrally located to things to do in St. Louis. Check out was a breeze.

That being said, there were a couple of issues: a smoke alarm was chirping when we arrived in the room, but the front desk was able to provide a battery that we could swap the dead battery with. There weren’t any pots, pans, or kettles in the room, only a few plates, but we were able to ask for a pot from the front desk. The hallways were a little dirty, but the room itself was very clean. The microwave heated things slowly but did the job. In general, the room seemed a bit older, but it was clean and comfortable so it was good enough for a one night stay!

The TV was situated in such a way you couldn't see it from the bed, the trim in the bathroom was rotted as well as the subfloor under the shower pan. You could feel your feet sinking as you shower there was no coffee maker in the room, so I asked the front desk for one and they gave me one that still had a filter and old coffee growing mold inside it. Also, the coffee pot was missing the lid and since this was a "sneak a cup" coffee maker, it rendered the coffee maker completely useless. Breakfast was a joke and they even charge a dollar per outgoing call, even local calls, on the room phone. I'll spend a little more next time to stay somewhere else.

Avoid this place!! The outside entrance door was warped and would not close - anyone could have walked right in. The bathroom door of our room was also warped and would not close. The bathroom sink drain was stuck closed, water would not drain, we had to use the kitchen sink for everything. and there was no remote for the TV…

I can't say much good about this hotel. Front desk initially tried to give us a room that was still occupied. The towels were disgusting, the bed was uncomfortable and the walls were so thin you could hear a normal volume conversation in the next room. We kept the AC running just to have some white noise to try to sleep. Just an awful property and we should have spent the extra few dollars to stay somewhere else.

It was a good price in an industrial park so we didn’t expect the clientele to be so poor. The property sorely needs upkeep. The elevator was out of order, the luggage cart said do not use and was falling apart. The room floor was clean and linens clean. However the toilet had a dirty ring in the bowl. The shower was a fire hose and felt unsafe using it. The towel rack was missing from the wall. The vanity doors looked handmade and loose to open. Mattress was okay but sofa bed very uncomfortable. Two nights here were enough. Strange characters in the parking lot. Clerks and reception very friendly.

There were kids in the hall running and yelling until about 1am. The hinge was loose on my door and I had to slam my body against it to open and close it. The room was nice, it was very clean. I just had a bad door and unruly children on my floor.

I used the app to book and prepay online. Upon arrival, they were not sure which rooms were clean so they guessed a handicap room was clean and available. However because I paid online they couldn’t “adjust” the room type. They called the manager who couldn’t help, walked the property to check if rooms were clean or not and then ultimately put me in one room while listing me as being in a separate room in the computer. As we walked into the room, someone was finishing cleaning/fixing the toilet. A few minutes later, the front desk called to say they were moving us to a different room in a different building so we had to repack our belongings and move. Overall it took over a half hour just to check in. The room itself had dust and dirt on all the baseboards, no remote for the tv so we couldn’t watch anything. The staff was super apologetic and very nice. I blame management for how that placed is ran and looked. I’ll never stay there again.

The property appears to be being updated. The bathroom still needed updates but the main room was clean and comfortable. The girl who checked us in was very pleasant. The common areas needed some upkeep and cleaning because I’ve had trouble with extended stay before at a different property and charges, I opted to turn in our keys personally instead of just leaving them. It took 30 minutes and my husband having to go find someone to help the 4 of us that were waiting for something in the lobby. Then he wanted to get mouthy and not pleasant telling me to just leave them and haven’t we stayed in a hotel before? Why yes we have, at a different property and it didn’t turn out so well.

The hotel was overbooked and they canceled my room reservation at time and city where demand was so high and nothing was available. I would never recommend staying here.

I booked the room for 4 nights for $316 on Afterpay and made my deposit for $88 and I called the day I was supposed to be there and made sure my room would be held after 6 pm than I didn't get there until the next morning I arrived and they inform me I am on the do not rent list. And they wouldn't give me a full refund. When they should have told me when I called that I wouldn't be allowed to get my room. And they still wouldn't refund me the full amount. Now I'm fighting to get my money back.

Have is a room that people were already checked into already. Made us wait for an hour for a room, while they cleaned it. Get the room & has no soap, towels etc.

For the price you don’t expect a 4 star hotel but the staff were extremely nice and friendly. The overall hotel could do with a little cleaning but the room itself was pretty clean

There weren’t any pots, pans, or kettles in the room, only a few plates, but we were able to ask for a pot from the front desk. The hallways were a little dirty, but the room itself was very clean. The microwave heated things slowly but did the job. In general, the room seemed a bit older, but it was clean and comfortable so it was good enough for a one night stay!

Very dirty hotel, unsafe surroundings, shady people loitering around the hotel, toilet wanted to overflow, receptionist didn't care for room issues. Black women walking around looking like hookers.

I pulled in there are three cop cars in the parking lot. I go to the front desk and wait for a good 10 min when the desk clerk walked in he was involved with whatever the police were there for. He then tells me the room hadn’t been cleaned and they didn’t have another room because the cleaning staff had been fired. Called Expedia to get it canceled and they tell me they can’t because it’s already in process, but if they haven’t charged your card don’t worry about it. Well three days later my card is charged and I can’t seem to get a human on Expedia to get this figured out.

Our door had a big chunk of putty like a hole had been poorly repaired and the door lock only work every like 4 tries or so. There was a full kitchen but no dishes to be able to use the kitchen. There were no sheets for the pull out sofa just plastic on the mattress so it was unusable. Phones were down the whole time we were there. Would not recommend this hotel.

There was no breakfast which it said it did when I booked it. We got there at around 5pm and it wasn’t even ready for us to check in to our room.

There is no breakfast, coffee and muffin;(

This “smoke free” building reaks of smoke. I don’t smoke and have allergies. So I have been stuffed up sneezing all night. The smoke smell has to be stuck in the linens or drapes. No chair at the table to eat at. No dishes, silverware, pans, cooking supplies and no trash can, but I have the trash bags. Just a bare room. Tv needs to go on the other side of the room so you can see it from the kitchen. I asked for the things I needed I did get a toaster and a plate. Plastic fork doesn’t help.

The staff had no clue what they were doing . They had 4 rooms available and the desk clerk kept leaving the building and running to other buildings and checking if the rooms were clean. The first two weren’t. The girl didn’t even have me checked into the system so I couldn’t log into the free Wi-Fi because she didn’t know how but could activate our key- which when we left the room we couldn’t get back in, and had to go back over to the desk and have her fix it. The kitchenette in our room had no running water to the sink. We had no coffee pot or cups in our room. This was a terrible experience. I wouldn’t NOT recommend this place ever and would never return. Our room had a pull out couch with no linens. I’m handicapped and the desk clerk wanted to hand me a bundle of pillows, blankets and sheets. I was also put on the second floor being handicapped. Bottom of the barrel.

My family has been staying here for 2 weeks. There isnt anywhere cheap to stay at all anymore these days but this hotel has best prices for amazing rooms. Its set up with small full kitchen containing everything a normal kitchen has. A queen bed and full size pull out couch. Plenty of closet space. Decent size nice bathroom. Big tv with cable. Free wifi. They also offer dish set ups if needed, razors tooth brushes and tolit paper. Also washer and dryers. I would highly recommend and will probably be the only hotel franchise ill ever plan on stayjng at.
