Safe location and clean room. Lots of parking spots next to rooms. Snacks in the lobby in the morning. Next door and walking distance to quality restaurants, driving distance to the beaches in Cambria. I stayed for one night before resuming my trip up the California coast.

Staff was friendly. Good ears and shopping options within walking distance. Fire pit out front where you can relax and even meet other people on their journey. Overall I liked the peaceful set up. Like a little town within a town. The room felt like lil one bedroom homes that made it feel relaxing. Almost home while not at home. I would of liked to have stayed longer

Love the sunken area in the lobby with a fireplace, games, toys for little ones and a record player. Nice hot showers. Comfy beds. Close enough to walk to the grocery store. Close to the downtown. The lobby doesn't open until 8am and closes at 9pm, sometimes 8:30pm. They do not serve breakfast, but they do offer a wide variety of granola type bars along with cocoa and coffee. Lily's Cafe is next door and has excellent breakfast options to bring back to the lobby and enjoy and one of the dining tables. Overall, I highly recommend this motel!

Very close to both sides of town. The large firepit out front is a hit! Lots of seats and tables to choose from. Very nice lobby with great coffee in the morning. the bed was perfect, shower large, water got warm fast everything was clean! Must do again!!

Checking in was a breeze! The customer service was great! I loved the outdoor seating and fire pit. Very walkable or a quick drive into town for dinner or lunch. I thought this experience was nicer than staying at moonstone beach.

This was our second stay here. This place has very clean rooms and showers, comfortable beds and plenty of parking. There’s also the convenience of two Charge Point electric vehicles chargers on-site. Would absolutely recommend. Oh and checking in was easy with a very accommodating & nice staff.

Very quaint and calm retreat. The grounds were amazing, pleasant surprise behind the building, a beautiful secret garden. Room very comfortable. Bed was just to our likening. Had extra pillows and blanket available if needed. Nice added touch that they provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Staff was kind and very attentive. Our room didn't come with an iron, but they accommodated our request. Centrally located on Main Street, close to everything in Cambria. Easy walking distance to many places. We will be returning to the area, and this will be our new choice of stay. Have already recommended it to many of our friends.

What a wonderful hotel to stay at. The room was clean and amazing. The creek and patio space was phenomenal. The lobby area was gorgeous with a fireplace and area to sit. The fire pit was fun to hang out with our friends and family. Such a vibe here with so much nature ane beautiful animals surrounding it. Amazing location and close walkable to many shops, restaurants, and bakeries nearby. Will come and stay and visit again.

The location was great. There is also a ChargePoint charger within the parking lot with two spots, we were able to charge our EV car. There are great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, it is awesome that you don't have to get in your car and struggle with finding parking, just go for a stroll. Room was clean and had the basics, including a microwave and mini fridge.

Paid over 200$ for one night. Had to unplug the fridge in the middle of the night because of a loud noise it kept making. Woke up tried to flush the toilet one time water started leaking from under the toilet all over the floor and clogged. Had to go somewhere else to use the restroom. Disappointing. Won’t be back

Nice area and nice motel —-BUT - get a room on the second floor! From 6:30 am on, footsteps and voices from above. Could not sleep after that started. And I’m not a light sleeper. “Breakfast” was coffee and packaged granola bars. I’d go back as long as my room is on the second floor.

Very convenient hotel in the middle of Cambria. The hotel is older but very clean. Our only minor complaint is the noise factor when upstairs neighbors moved about, it was quite noisy. May require better sound insulation.

This property is within east walking distance of East Cambria village. We had king room with fireplace, balcony located on back row facing creek & gardens. Very quiet there. Garden area is currently under renovation but going to be awesome when finished. Lobby is pleasant place to sit & sip coffee or table and chairs under the lovely Cowwich tree is also great for that…..& firepit in front of motel (lit every night) is also cozy place to sip a glass of wine. We have been to Cambria many, many times over the years and have never stayed at Blue Bird but now that we’ve experienced it’s charm we’ll definitely come back to it again.

Very clean, quiet, basic motel. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find that it was indeed a motel and not a hotel/inn. Was expecting a little bit more character based on the photos in the listing. The rooms have no character to speak of. Excellent location and very clean. Beds were really hard. My back and my hips are still killing me three days later. TV did not have very many channels so if you stay here, I would definitely bring a book. Very close to coffee and lots of restaurants and a magnificent organic food store called Sotos natural market. I feel like it was over priced for the experience, but that is to be expected these days.

A delightful woman named Fal checked us in, she was probably the owner. The outside of the Bluebird Inn takes you back in time to my youth traveling with my parents in the 60's. It looks like a quaint motel from the outside. Fal told us they don't have air conditioning but a cross breeze blows cool air each evening. She was correct! Take a steps into our room which looks brand new and modern, and it also has a ceiling fan! This stay was absolutely wonderful, she had coffee and snacks for breakfast but there also lots of bakeries within walking distance. Many many dinner options also within walking distance. In the chilly nite and cool morning there was an outdoor fire pit lit up in front of the Bluebird as if to welcome guests in . Don't stay anywhere else!

Room was fine but no A/C and we were there on a very warm weekend. Overhead fan helped some. Parking is good and staff were nice. Very small closet and little drawer space especially if you plan to stay more than a weekend.

Staff was very good at communicating and making everything very easy. As long as you communicate with them on late arrivals or late check outs etc. they will make sure everything is set to go. I made reservations last minute for work and it was in a perfect location for where I was working but also would be perfect for a get away as well. I would recommend staying here for a good experience and making life easy for a get away with no worries...

The hotel is an older hotel and it is reflected in the condition of the rooms. We stayed on the ground floor and the guest above us walked so much in their room that we heard every step. All throughout the night they made so much noise that we were unable to get any sleep. We tried to contact the office but could reach no one . Our reservation was for two nights, but we couldn't face another night like last night, so we checked out losing our money for the second day, because of the policy of no refunds due to a third party reservation. Will not go back.

I got there early and asked the clerk to call when ready. She said it will by 3pm no call came back at 3pm new clerk checked in numerous ppl my room was not ready. Was told rudely check inbat 4pm 3 times. Wow.. the clerks need to talk to each other.

Our new favorite place to stay in Cambria. This is a family run property that takes pride in ownership and is focused on customer service. A convenient downtown location, near shopping and restaurants. Our room was very comfortable, clean And we especially enjoyed the premium bed linens. Very friendly check in and check out. We will return on our next stop through Cambria

Our room was very warm( an issue with the heating element). We were moved and upgraded just 2 doors down. The rooms are large, comfortable beds, the windows open to keep it cool at night, large ceiling fan, and coffee in the room. Walkable to the local main st shopping, dining area.

The property reached out ahead of time to notify us of a CA-1 closure that would have led to a lengthy detour, which I really appreciated. Overall, the property is charming and lovely! Very welcoming and encouraging of social activity with the lobby and fire pit area. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

Stayed at The Bluebird Inn while we were in the area to visit Hearst Castle. It is a short 10 minute drive to the castle, very convenient. The property is clean, staff is friendly and the buildings are painted a relaxing blue with cute floral/bird accents! There are many walkable options for food. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location! Very clean, spacious but cozy room. Comfortable. The property itself was very well kept and pretty. Exceptionally quiet for being on the main street. Within walking distance of many good restaurants, shops, bakery, market. Only just over a mile to Moonstone Beach! You could actually walk there, too, if you wanted. Highly recommend staying here

Nice area and nice motel —-BUT - get a room on the second floor! From 6:30 am on, footsteps and voices from above. Could not sleep after that started. And I’m not a light sleeper. “Breakfast” was coffee and packaged granola bars. I’d go back as long as my room is on the second floor.

The room was just a basic room with a bathroom and shower. All very clean. The Bluebird was close to where I was doing business, so that was perfect. It's a very short ride into downtown Cambria, or about a six minute ride to the coast for great sunset scenes. I would/will stay here again. FYI-They really don't do anything for breakfast. Coffee is offered and health bars (bagels would have been nice) but it is only a couple of minutes to a number of restaurants for a real Breakfast. I ate breakfast at the "Creekside"--"Excellent".

Love the sunken area in the lobby with a fireplace, games, toys for little ones and a record player. Nice hot showers. Comfy beds. Close enough to walk to the grocery store. Close to the downtown. The lobby doesn't open until 8am and closes at 9pm, sometimes 8:30pm. They do not serve breakfast, but they do offer a wide variety of granola type bars along with cocoa and coffee. Lily's Cafe is next door and has excellent breakfast options to bring back to the lobby and enjoy and one of the dining tables. Overall, I highly recommend this motel!

I liked that it was quite, safe and quaint. Lobby was very warm and cheerful with fireplace burning on chilly mornings. Breakfast was a disappointment as it consisted mostly of coffee, tea or hot chocolate with granola and nut bars.

We loved our stay. The location can’t be best. Walkable to amazing, cute shops, coffee house and restaurants. Clean, safe, thoughtfully decorated for Christmas. Don’t miss The garden walkway next to the creek behind the hotel. It’s blissful. Suggestions? A hottub, pastries or fruit in the morning

Good location in Cambria, restaurants nr by. Parking available. Clean room and good facilities. Sadly Noisy neighbors in room above woke us at 5.45! Coffee and biscuit bar available in the reception area after 8.00 am.
