Clean room, free parking!

The check-in was great with a very helpful person behind the desk. Parking in the lower level garage was secure and gated with secure access to the elevator. The room was immaculate, particularly the bathroom which was gleaming. There are a couple of restaurants just west down Lombard and some other fun dining choices a few blocks down on Union -- along with a gelato place. The only negative was you could hear the road noise but I had earplugs anyway and all was great.

Clean room, secure guest car parking in the basement, good location with shops nearby.

Room was clean. Evening staff excellent. Morning staff just ok. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Nice location. Parking was very tight and very limited. For a short duration this is a good inn motel.

Great location! It was super easy to use public transportation to get to all the tourist spots. The hotel offers free parking, but getting around by public transit is much easier and faster. So we only used the garage the first night and then returned the car to the rental company. The garage is small but very safe – it has an electronic gate that opens with the same key card as the room, so only guests have access. From the outside, the hotel looks a bit simple and old, but the room we stayed in was renovated – everything was new, with fresh wallpaper, nice decor, and a modern bathroom. Everything was clean. The hotel was also very quiet, no noise from other guests in the hallways, which was great for sleeping. We had excellent nights of rest. Even though our room faced Lombard Street, the street noise wasn’t loud at all and didn’t bother us. The receptionist who did our check-in was very kind and friendly. Overall, it was a great stay!

Great spot, clean rooms and extra big parking spots for larger vehicles. Would definitely stay again.

We were really pleased with our stay here. The room was nice, in a safe area, with protected free parking. There is no lobby, which some people may find odd, but I'd rather have protected parking than a fancy lobby. There are restaurants near by and you can walk safely, even at night. That's something to be very pleased with in San Francisco.

Staff was super friendly and helpful, we had a split reservation and they worked really hard to keep us in the same room despite being totally full for the weekend. All the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. Room was clean, seemed recently updated and was roomy.

A perfect stay in San Fransisco! This place was immaculate and clearly recently renovated (or just well cared for.). The beds were super comfortable, room was spacious and clean, and the free parking was a major bonus. Check in was easy, front desk guy was pleasant, and check out was a breeze. I have zero complaints - this was our fifth hotel stop on our California road trip and probably one of my two favorites. Easy to access all major things via walking, ride shares, Waymo, etc…Skip the tourist trap hotels at the warf, save yourself the overpriced parking and “resort” fees, and book your stay here instead. Thank you Coventry Motor Inn!

We did check in to room only to find a bed bug infestation signs on spring box. Got moved to another room that had even more serious amount of droppings on spring box. Manager refused to acknowledge any infestation past or current and refused to give refund on reason that we slept in the bed during 15min we stayed in each room.

Very clean room and hotel is conveniently located in walking distance to many shops & dining options. Felt very safe leaving our car in their gated underground garage too.

It was easy to park in their garage which is huge for SF. Check in was easy and the room was clean. I really appreciated being able to open the window. The only thing I was displeased with was the shower needed to be better cleaned as there was that pink stuff that grows in the grout.

Wow their remodel came out great. The rooms are bright and airy. I stayed here many times and now it feels alike a upper-scale hotel.

We stayed in a room on the backside of the property, therefore the noise level from busy Lombard St. was not as loud.

Loved the hotel, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful rooms, safe parking, and good location only ½ mile from Ghirardelli Square. Our only hiccup—we were in a room facing Lombard Street and it was SO loud all night. The hotel itself was extremely quiet. We didn't hear a peep from any of our heighbors. The street noise (which typically doesn’t bother me that much) was extreme. If it weren't for that, I probably wpuld have slept very well because the mattress was very firm and comfortable and the sheets were probably the best sheets I've ever slept on.

It was wonderful! One night stay in the Cow Hollow district of SF which we have never stayed in this area before. Enjoyed our room, enjoyed the quietness as our room was towards the back and not facing the busy Lombard Street. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Enjoyed the fact that the motel was close to all kinds of restaurants in a very walkable area. It was great! Would stay there again for sure!

The room was great and clean, however the noise of the road came in like all windows are open (they were not open). If this is fixed, it would be perfect as everything else was really good.

Rooms are lovely, the renovated showers are fantastic. Great location on Lombard street, Office staff excel in every way. Love this Hotel.

The room looked newly renovated and was nice and clean. Staff were helpful. The neighborhood is lovely, with many restaurants and the marina in walking distance. Our room faced Lombard St. on the 3rd floor, and traffic noise kept us awake most of the night. There is a stoplight on the corner, so you will hear loud trucks idling there for extended periods waiting for the light to change all through the night. Fine if you are accustomed to city noise, but may be difficult to deal with otherwise. I had trouble drowning out the noise with earbuds. I'd definitely stay here again, but would request a room that doesn't face Lombard St.

Unf this hotel was unwilling to cancel or rebook my stay, and was quite rude in how they communicated with me.

Was able to check in early. Room was very clean and newly renovated. Beds were very comfortable. Parking is safe and secure.

“free” parking, which was a farce as it comes with high rate fees outside of what Expedia charges. It was an extra $500+ on top of what we paid Expedia which was very misleading. Positive: Nice location, easy to get around and for us it was walkable to coffee, restaurants, shopping, etc. We liked the area it was in. Room was spacious, nicely updated. Comfortable. Cons: Service was AWFUL. I don’t say that often or lightly. It was my husband, me, and my eight-year-old. We paid for a room for three, through Expedia. Our daughter definitely does not fit into our bed anymore. I purposefully did not choose a smaller room for that reason. With a room for three, we figured there would be either a couch or a chair that would fold out. When we got into our room, we noticed it was just a king bed. Nowhere for our daughter to sleep. We also noticed there were no additional towels, we only received two keys, etc. When we called about an extra bed, as we had booked a room for three, we got the most rude manager on the phone. He said “sometimes I have people complaining that a king bed is too big. Sometimes I have Japanese women that can fit four women into a bed. Anything goes in San Francisco. It’s going to be $20 a night for an extra bed. What!? I won’t take you through the experience of trying to get an extra key for our room. It was painful. The rooms are decent, better than I expected. Location is nice. Service here is awful. On principal alone I’ll never stay here again.

Second time here at the Coventry Inn and it was just as good as the first time. Friendly, helpful staff, great room rates, and an excellent location for exploring San Francisco.

Excellent San Francisco location. Less than 5 min drive anywhere, good luck to ya if you walk San Fran 😅 Americans are so strict about the 3pm check in, it must be an amendment! The staff were rather rude and wouldn't budge, so we jet lag crashed in his parking lot for 1.5 hrs in the rental car.

The staff were great, offering to move their car for us to park when the lot was full. The room was large and clean, and the room had the buggest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel!

The staff made this stay amazing. I brought a few of my own meals and they let me microwave it in their office, which I did a few times. The parking was great and secure. They even let me leave my car there until the afternoon of our checkout day so we could walk down to the pier to watch the Blue Angels fly. Our key was deactivated since we had already checked out, so they gave us access to get our car out of the garage when we returned. Room was great, but we checked in super late at night so got one of the rooms where the window looked inward into the building, but it still let natural light in and had full privacy. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Location for walking all around Fisherman’s Wharf area was great. There was also a bike rental place just down the street, which was also fun for getting around easily. Would stay here again for sure, but hopefully get a window facing outside to the street instead.

Great hotel! Super clean and quiet. It was very close to the golden gate bridge and fisherman's wharf. Area around it was super safe to walk around as well.

The Coventry Inn is in a convent location for walking to Fisherman’s wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, restaurants, coffee, and an easy Uber pick up point. It was clean and comfortable.

This a very convenient place to stay with a car in the city since self parking is included and it’s close to the loads of places to explore like Ghirardelli’s or Aquatic Park and eateries galore.

Stayed in this hotel for the bulk of the trip. Great experience overall. Beautiful views from top floor. Wife couldn't stop looking out of the windows (and she's afraid of heights...lol) Pros: - Room (Property was clean, views were breathtaking, beds were comfortable) - Staff (Very friendly and professional) - Location (Within a couple miles of Fisherman's Warf with food and amenities all around) Cons: - Room (Toilet had issues the entire trip. It worked well enough, but malfunctioned throughout and wasted much water) - Location (I'd be remiss not to add that there were transients all around. Not much of an issue for me, but may be for others.) Very great and memorable stay overall. Would definitely consider staying again. Would love if they added some kind of continental breakfast, but hope spring's eternal.

Recently refurbished. V comfortable room. I had room at the side of the building. Front may be a little noisy. It's very convenient for sightseeing. Bus number 28 comes from Fisherman's Wharf to Golden Gate Bridge and on to to Daly City where can pick up BART train to the International airport. Buses run every 10 to 15 minutes in the day. Frequent too in the evening Pictures on the web site are accurate. No breakfast/ food available Couldn't leave luggage after check out.

We had booked 2 rooms for three nights. There was no exhaust fan in one of the bathrooms leading to steam buildup and eventually water condensed on the ceiling. In the other bathroom, the flush handle would not work normally even though the flush did work after a bit of trial and error. There is a convenience/liquor store right next door which was super useful for buying disposable plates, spoons etc to share meals ordered via Uber Eats. There are a few breakfast places within walking distance. We tried one called Home Plate. It was good although a bit one the pricier side. Coventry motor inn is fairly close to the major tourist attractions; we were able to utilize Waymo taxis to get around quite easily.
