Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Louis - Chesterfield by IHG

The property was great. We will stay there again if we go back. Rooms were clean. Staff was fantastic. Pool has entirely way to much chlorine. The shower was great for great but every shower i felt like i needed another shower as there was residue out soap not coming off. Maybe water softener. But great place.

Sheets were on the pull out and used. The pool was closed and the kids were disappointed in that.

Very clean, good condition property. Pool and breakfast were very good.

Fitness facility was well equipped and everything was working properly, pool was fine, and breakfast was wonderful.

The hotel was amazing! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and pool were top notch. Plus the location of the hotel was perfect for our weekend. We had endless shops & restaurants to choose from and were only 5 minutes away from The Factory!!

Fine room. Did find pool inside wall edge sort of slimy and coated, needs a good scrub but otherwise good.

Clean rooms, good breakfast. Pool area has strong chlorine. The kids all had red eyes and were coughing while swimming in the pool.

Our room was clean and spacious. The staff was incredibly knowledgable and helpful, especially the gentleman working the breakfast area the morning we were there. I was very thankful that there is laundry on site (not every hotel offers this!). We were on a road trip for about 10 days and this was one of our favorite stays.

Close to restaurants and shopping. Very clean. Needs a whirl pool or hot tub.

Upon arrival, our toilet was dirty and we were switched to another room next door. That toilet was also dirty. We were told housekeeping was gone for the day so rather than continue to change rooms, we asked the front desk for gloves and a toilet brush and disinfectant cleaner and we cleaned the toilet ourselves.

The bathroom was horrible. Toilet seat broken, ceiling light was rusted and had mold growing in the cover. The bathroom ceiling also had mold and drywall was peeling and falling. Noise above our room was also terrible.

Nice decor. Hot breakfast, though low quality offerings, such as eggs clearly poured from a carton, and sausage gravy/biscuits from a low-quality mix. Room was not clean upon my checking in. Upon first walking into the room, I found hairs in the bed (seen when pulling back the comforter), thick layer of a dried-on sticky drink that had apparently been spilled by a peevious guest on the side table, mirrors looked to be cleaned with a dirty rag. Surprisingly bad cleanliness. The beds (2 queens) were comfortable-- we slept on the one that did not contain the hairs described above. Additionally, a hair that apeared to he pubic hairwas found on the countertop where the Keurig machine was stationed. Upsetting, for the price I paid for the room.

The bathroom was dirty hair everywhere and not cleaned at all also the bathroom door was loose almost fell out when I was showering for me was safe or clean . Isn't work the price I payed for it.

Fine hotel but cleanliness was definitely lacking. If we would have been staying more than one night and already had a late check in we would have immediately asked to switch rooms. The shower reeked of pee and had hair in it (it had clearly not been cleaned), there was pee on wall next to the toilet, the carpet was filthy with stains.

We got there and stayed in our first room a king with a pull out. We couldn’t sleep because we was on the 3rd when we requested to be on the 4th floor. People staying on the 4th floor was running and jumping all night long. Next morning we was moved to a double queen on the fourth floor. The noise was fine but the beds were horrible. We didn’t sleep at all. Next thing was we went out for the evening and came back and all you could smell was weed outside and inside the hotel. That is not acceptable.

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms dated. TVs were ancient. Had to move rooms. Front desk guy was never there.

we were on the 4th floor and had no hot water and terrible water pressure.

Good location, friendly staff. TV didn’t work but other than that, it was good. A little over priced for what it is tho.

Some of the furnishings need to either be repaired or replaced and many need to be cleaned (i.e. chair beside the bed) but bed was comfortable. Someone on the floor above me walked like a caveman stomping around so it could have been quieter as well but no screaming or yelling.

It was all very nice except for the cool shower in the morning.

Property was clean and so was the inside. Room was nice and clean. Only complaint was the shower. Seemed like there was no water pressure and the water felt oily.

Our stay started with problems and they just kept coming. 1. Checked in to our room and it was not the room we reserved and paid for. We booked 2 rooms and were supposed to be in a queen with two beds and s sofa. Both rooms were just queens. 2. The heater came on and it had a loud, annoying noise. (Like fingers on a chalkboard) They sent maintenance and it could not be fixed. Called the front desk. Was told hotel was fully booked. Asked for the manager and was told they were not available. About 10 minutes later front desk called and had another room. 3. That room had multiple problems - roach in sink -no hot warter or water pressure in shower - shower head would not stay up. Kept hitting me on the head - blackout shade would not lower. - no coffee, tea, water or coffee cups - no laundry bags Made us wonder if room had even been cleaned?? Never heard back from manager. This hotel in definately not up to IHG standards.

Hats off to the staff at HIE Chesterfield for their assistance in navigating a difficult situation and making it right. There was apparently some confusion with my Expedia booking that resulted in the HIE not having the specific room type i reserved (Queen suite) available on the day I arrived. The HIE staff tried to handle this before my arrival by booking me in a King suite instead. This would've been fine except that we had 3 adults in our party and needed two beds. The manager at HIE was extremely helpful, booking us instead into a standard Queen double (which was fine enough for our purposes) and then contacting Expedia on our behalf to refund the appropriate amount in room cost. Another great staff story - not 5 minutes after we checked out, we received a call from the HIE saying housekeeping had found that we left a jacket behind. We were able to quickly return before we were able to leave the area, which was great. TL;DR: When you find a hotel with good staff, stay there. I highly recommend the HIE Chesterfield and their fantastic staff. :)

I travel quite a bit and this was an excellent experience. From the very fresh and clean facilities (great breakfast BTW) to the fantastic staff - in particular, Sarah, at the desk - this was a very enjoyable, albeit short, stay. Definitely will stay again if ever in the area.

The property during our stsy was very understaffed in the afternoon and evening. The 1 employee working was awesome and very professional. Lots of options for dining and shopping nearby. Very close to major highways for easy access.

My wife and I came to the area for a weekend (stayed 2 nights) get away to shop and relax. Staff was friendly and hotel was clean and nice. Check in was easy but also was the problem. The gentleman said that the computer was running slow but said we were all checked in, gave us room keys and explained everything to us. However on the The second night we were there someone tried to enter our room at @ 11pm and asked if some ofone was in there. Didn't knock just tried to enter. Told them someone was in here and they left without anymore issues until the morning when we were getting packed up to leave and housekeeping tried to enter. When we talked to them, they said their sheet said we already checked out. When we went to check out and talked with the lady at the front desk and explained what happened, she looked up our reservation and it said that we never checked in and was a no show. While did explain that was why someone tried to enter our room and she was polite and courteous, there was never any apologies or further explanations. While the room and all other accommodations were great, it left a bit of a bitter taste in our mouths and on edge that someone tried to come into our room while we were sleeping. How is it that they said we never checked in but our key cards worked fine and the maid service said we already checked out?

Arrived at the hotel and was informed they did not have a reservation for me even though it was booked and paid for through Expedia. The employee working for them smelled of alcohol and attempted to place my daughter and I in a room. However when we walked in the room it had not been cleaned, the beds were unmade, there was trash sitting on the furniture and wet towels in the bathroom floor. We went back to the front desk and the hotel then sent us to another hotel and comped our stay.

From time of arrival, the gentleman at the front desk was so nice and accommodating. I was cold and wanted coffee and there wasn’t any, but he didn’t hesitate and offered to go brew some and did. The next morning we went to eat breakfast and the gentleman who worked the breakfast area was super friendly and helpful. I’d go back here in a heartbeat!!! Great place!

We stay here every year on our way to Florida. We like the hotel and where it is located. It is clean and quiet. The neighborhood is safe with shopping and restaurants in a variety.

The hotel was fine. Nothing wrong. I’m just staying at a different chain in a different city now, and the difference is huge for the same price. The room was big enough, the beds were comfortable, the place was clean. The breakfast is not good, but it’s free. The parking lot is awesome. You can walk to some eating areas, it’s next to a chick fil a. Chesterfield is just beautiful. There are all kinds of stores on this road-Dick’s, Sam’s, Old Navy, but you can’t see them from the road because Missouri leaves all the beautiful trees! My door both slammed hard and loud but also didn’t fully close (weird). You’d have to double check to make sure it was really closed. The shower stopper was broken so half the water came out into the tub and half out the shower. The water is soft-I felt like I couldn’t get the soap rinsed off. The freezer part of the fridge wasn’t there. It’s a small fridge, maybe it didn’t have a freezer? Leftovers and groceries won’t go in there. You can hear pound, pound, pounding when people walk around above? you. But the air worked, the blackout curtains really worked, and the staff is so super nice. We loved St Louis and visited several areas surrounding it-all were lovely. Everything is so well maintained. Nice week/weekend.

It was for my husbands surgery stayed 2 nights while he was in the hospital it was a great hotel Wish the pancake maker worked since the breakfast wasnt the best the second day

The property and staff on checking were just fine. The next morning whomevers job it was to watch breakfast dropped the ball. All hot items were empty and not being refilled by 8 am. A guest had to tell the front office staff. Where he promptly found the employee who was supposed to be working. There were quite a few less than impressed guests that morning for breakfast.
