Motel 6-Destin, FL

The property and the inside of our room was horrible. Sheets had sand all through them, black mold in the bathroom. Tub was clogged up. We only had half a roll of toilet paper. 2 towels for the 3 days we were there. We had to move rooms because our first room was covered in weed and the smell of weed. Will never return there again.

The first room we were assigned to was filthy--the bath tub had dark stains over most of the inside. The floors had standing dirt. We were moved to another room which was only marginally better. The floors were still dirty and obviously had not been swept or mopped in a long time. I borrowed a broom and swept the floors myself but still wound up ruining a pair of socks and had to keep a damp wash rag by the bed to wash my feet before getting into bed.

Gross! Poorly cleaned, (if at all) Fitted sheet as a top sheet was a quirky twist. Made a new friend, (a frog in the shower with me). Refrigerator was leaking all over. Mold on everything. Ect, ect. Just gross all together.

The night shift person didn't know what was going on when checking in people. We got a handicap room and found out the next morning didn't have hot water. The day manager moved us to another room and didn't offer to help us. Got to the room and pillows had a smell and no pillow cases. The shower had mold on the shower curtain and the manager had is best person cleaned it. We got the idea that they knew that the handicap room had no hot water because the kept saying they knew it was leaking. I booked the room saying it was in walking distance of the Harbor,we are elderly and was to far for us to walk. Will not stay there again and no recommendations for Motel 6

Always my go to place. Ice cold AC fast simple check In and located in the best place for easy walk to anywhere. Hands down the best price on the whole gulf coast
