The only thing this hotel was missing is a mini fridge. The bed was comfortable, the room was large and clean, the front desk held our bags. No complaints!

Centrally located near metro, bus stops, and cable car, lots of shopping around and a handful of good restaurants. Parking garage available. Restaurant on site had excellent dinner. VIP upgraded room and half wine bottle was an excellent touch. Only downside was tiny bathroom with minimal counterspace

A very clean, chic hotel with good amenities. Checkin/out staff were very friendly. We stayed here for a night because we had a birthday party in the area. I went with my gut and booked this hotel, which was about $20-30 more but worth it because it’s in a stretch further from the Tenderloin, away from all the homeless and poop on the street. We walked down the hill and Market ST this morning and am so glad we avoided all the crap (literally & figuratively) on the street last night.

Convenient location. We went for a concert at the Warfield it was a 10 minute walk & a 30 minute walk to Oracle Park. Love that you can cast Netflix from your phone to the TV. $55 parking at location a little much but safe and they valet.

Hotel is old with a few upgrades. Close to Union Square, room was large. Had a couch (but i did upgrade) bathroom is tiny, no place to put any bathroom stuff. No restauramt on site. No store to buy anything. The parking was $55 per night and $29 for resort fee. Way overpriced.

This hotel is centrally located in the arts and entertainment area. We had excellent services to our disposal. Transit was a short walk away and was very efficient. The room was large and had all the amenities needed. Great gym facilities and the hotel was very quiet.

The lobby floors were concerning when we first arrived...condition was rough. The lobby furniture was fine, the check in desk great. Staff was phenomenal. Loved both the check in and the checkout staff. Friendly, informative and helpful. The room was beautiful. Large with all of the amenities, a safe, refrigerator, coffee maker, tv, desk and wonderful bath amenities. Everything was clean, actually, spotless! Room 1209 was great. Lots of windows with views in many directions. Loved it. We will stay again.

I cannot believe the experience we had at Hotel G. What should have been a simple and enjoyable one night stay in San Francisco turned into one of the most uncomfortable and upsetting hotel visits I have ever had. The front desk clerk’s behavior was completely unacceptable. We had a close friend who works very late and since we rarely get to see him we hoped he could come up to our room briefly so we could catch up for a few minutes. We were not trying to cause any disruption. We went down to meet him and politely asked if an exception could be made for him to join us. Instead of explaining the policy in a respectful way the clerk became aggressive angry and actually yelled at us. We did not push or demand anything. We simply asked a question. The hostility he showed us was shocking and left us shaken. To make matters worse as a gay couple traveling in San Francisco of all places the entire interaction felt not only rude but homophobic. It was as if the moment we made our request the tone shifted into something far more personal and discriminatory. Unfortunately the rest of the stay was equally disappointing. I had to wait nearly thirty minutes and call the front desk twice just to receive towels. The room’s cement floor had sticky residue that clung to my socks which showed a clear lack of cleanliness. Between the rude and hostile treatment the failure to provide basic service the lack of cleanliness and the poorly designed shower I cannot recommend Hotel G to anyone.

The location was really convenient; you can move quickly either on a walk or on public transportation, and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. The people in the hotel were charming. The hotel looked nice. The only thing I didn't like was that the bathroom smelled a little bit of pee, it looked clean, but I could smell a subtle odor.

It was extrmeely cold in the room and floor didnt have carpets was impososble to walk on, i even got sick during my stay, had to put towels on the floor to walk. Floor is freezing. Its terrble. Lighting was good in the room but whole atmosphere is not cozy.

Overall would recommend UNLESS you are a light sleeper and/or dont have earplugs. Everything was clean, the room was spacious, the staff was friendly, the bed was a good medium-firmness. But the girls celebrating until 2am in their room next door (or above? below?) being perfectly loud for folks in their own room, might as well have been in my room. I drifted in and out of sleep till they settled down, and Im a pretty sound sleeper. Anyway, either the walls are super thin, or there's an open vent between our rooms that funnels sound between them.

Beautiful hotel, but it was so incredibly loud inside I was just amazed. Could hear everything from the couple next door, and everything happening in the hall way. I've never run into that before.

Room was very small “Delux Room 1 king Bed”. There is a window but not much of a view. I am short so I had to get on tippy toes to look out window. AC unit is attached to window and worked well. Kept us very cool. Room was very cleanly but you can tell the room needs updated (wooden floor creaks alot and you can see water damage on wood). Bed was king size and roomy but not super comfortable. It was a bit firm and lumpy. I still slept well tho. I’m juts use to more comfortable beds. No microwave. Staff was super friendly. And this location felt safe and is great for walking to shopping/ eating/ bar hopping. I just wish the room was more updated and roomy. Lobby looks very modern and fancy tho. It’s a basic room. If you’re looking for something that isn’t run down and is in a safe area and walkable to locations you should book here. Price is meh. Everything is expensive now. Room was $126.75 but with taxes and parking we paid $233.07. I will looks for something a bit less expensive before I book here again. And if I cannot find something less expensive then I will at-least look for something that has more of a promise of a larger / updated room.

Nothing special for the price. Requested late checkout when checking in and still got locked out and questioned before regular check out even started. Also, when called before hand to get late check out we were told 3 at the latest without charge. When checking in was told there would be a charge anytime after 1 pm. Buffet for guests was expensive and mediocre Rooms were clean for the most part. Vallet parking next door was the best part

Me and my friend had stayed here overnight and it was amazing. We landed early in the morning and asked to hold our bags they had informed us they will call us when our room is ready as it was gonna be before check in. We walked around when to amazing stores, events, and restaurants all close by. We can gotten back before the call as we needed to retrieve something from our bag and they upgraded us to enter our room even earlier. The staff was all friendly and amazing I will be coming again

The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly. Also since it is a VIP hotel they upgraded the room, provided a bottle of wine and they also let me check in early. I’ve stayed at a few hotels in the area as I come for work fairly regularly and this is by far the best value for the quality. And an added perk- they let me borrow an umbrella as it was a very rainy day in San Francisco.

What should have been a simple and enjoyable one night stay in San Francisco turned into one of the most uncomfortable and upsetting hotel visits I have ever had. The front desk clerk’s behavior was completely unacceptable. We had a close friend who works very late and since we rarely get to see him we hoped he could come up to our room briefly so we could catch up for a few minutes. We were not trying to cause any disruption. We went down to meet him and politely asked if an exception could be made for him to join us. Instead of explaining the policy in a respectful way the clerk became aggressive angry and actually yelled at us. We did not push or demand anything. We simply asked a question. The hostility he showed us was shocking and left us shaken. To make matters worse as a gay couple traveling in San Francisco of all places the entire interaction felt not only rude but homophobic. It was as if the moment we made our request the tone shifted into something far more personal and discriminatory. Unfortunately the rest of the stay was equally disappointing. I had to wait nearly thirty minutes and call the front desk twice just to receive towels. The room’s cement floor had sticky residue that clung to my socks which showed a clear lack of cleanliness. Between the rude and hostile treatment the failure to provide basic service the lack of cleanliness and the poorly designed shower I cannot recommend Hotel G to anyone.

I have been a longtime customer. I stayed recently & the street signs are very confusing -at 4 PM, it turned into a tow zone. My car was towed & it cost me $750. That is not my issue with Hotel G, but it is the background. When I arrived on Tuesday, I was concerned about being towed again. I pulled in front of the hotel, the curb is marked “tow away.” There is no staff in front so I called the hotel to inquire about how to check in without getting towed. I was finally transferred to the front desk & a man told me to park in front so I explained that it was marked, “tow away “and that I had been towed recently. He was incredibly condescending - and rude. While this is going on, I can barely hear him because there is a full-blown protest/strike going on at the hotel next door. I took his word that it was safe to leave my car in a tow wave zone, went inside and was checked in to Room 715. The noise from the protest was LOUD, they are blowing horns, beating huge steel drums, blowing whistles, and screaming so loud that you can hear it over the in-room fan. I went to a store and purchased earplugs just to sleep - and could still hear them. I emailed the manager (never received a response). The hotel needs to warn guests about what is happening next door - and provide earplugs if someone chooses to stay. I fear the issue with the front desk man is more than a lack of customer service training - my guess is he often speaks to women the way he spoke to me.

Convenient location. We went for a concert at the Warfield it was a 10 minute walk & a 30 minute walk to Oracle Park. Love that you can cast Netflix from your phone to the TV. $55 parking at location a little much but safe and they valet.

We stayed at hotel G for 3 nights and had an excellent time. Like any big city the downtown area has its challenges with homelessness - San Francisco is not different but at no time did we ever feel unsafe. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would consider staying again. Pros Staff are kind and helpful Rooms are nicely decorated and have fantastic black out blinds Great location for food, shopping and all local transit Cons Windows and walls are thin- you can hear cars honking and sometimes people talking in the room next door

Clean place in the busy downtown area. Conveniently located close to the important tourist attractions. Downtown area is generally a bit dirty and suffers from crimes. Some noise in the area from protests outside in the street. The staff were nice about it and gave us a room that wasn’t facing the noise. They also gave is a complementary bottle of wine.

Wasn't sure about the area but it was actually very quiet at night. Very friendly and helpful staff, happy to answer any questions. There's no restaurant but it's attached to the neighbouring restaurant which was very nice.

What a great hotel! I loved the location and the connection the the Italian restaurant downstairs. I went for happy hour and it was delicious after a long day of playing tourist. They even provided me an upgraded room with great views, so I was very pleasantly surprised. It is near many great restaurants and Union Square. I would stay here again!

Centrally located near metro, bus stops, and cable car, lots of shopping around and a handful of good restaurants. Parking garage available. Restaurant on site had excellent dinner. VIP upgraded room and half wine bottle was an excellent touch. Only downside was tiny bathroom with minimal counterspace

Hotel is old with a few upgrades. Close to Union Square, room was large. Had a couch (but i did upgrade) bathroom is tiny, no place to put any bathroom stuff. No restauramt on site. No store to buy anything. The parking was $55 per night and $29 for resort fee. Way overpriced.
