This hotel was awesome. I love the games, the indoor and outdoor pools, and the free breakfast. This hotel had the best free breakfast I’ve ever had and they had a lot of options. Then not only that Walmart, dollar tree, urban air, and food places are right across from this hotel. Me and my kids really enjoyed our stay at this location.

Amazing location! The State park is across the road, not even a mile. Next door is walmart, walking distance in case you forgot anything. Only negative is no microwave in room, but they have one in lobby. Two pools. One outside, one inside heated. Rooms have lots of hooks on wall to hang things. Impressive.

09/01/2025–Great place to stay! Indoor and outdoor pool with a kids water play area, they provide towels. You can do your own laundry for those sand beach days (pay with a card, very cheap), free breakfast, and free parking. Great neighborhood, easy and very well lit parking lot. Tons of options for eating and shopping very close by. Beach is not far at all! There is a $50 deposit when you arrive for damages. Staff was wonderful. Great place for family or just a get away. We will return!

We enjoyed our stay. I loved that there was both an indoor and outdoor pool. Also, a little splash pad outside for the kids. This location is perfect. It's walking distance to the beach. There's also a Walmart across the street. Restaurants are nearby as well. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I just wish there were more items to choose from during breakfast and wish they ended at 10:30. Another con is that room service came by every other day. So if you needed more towels, you had to call the front desk.

Love love love this hotel. SO family friendly! Even for ones without kids, it is just designed perfectly for all your needs I feel like. The overall feeling of the hotel is very modern, colorful, great hangout areas, pool tables, shuffle board, egg chairs, and even hangout spots outside, as well as a great pool and a cool little splash pad too for the kids! The rooms are exactly as they look online, which is so clean and modern- giving that super relaxing and comfy feel. They even have a room with a bunk bed for kiddos and we LOVED that!! The front desk workers are all so helpful and sweet. The breakfast.. oh man.. not only is it so cool with the pancake-making machine and yogurt machine, but it’s just SO yummy and has SO many options!! They also have a ton of little things you might want or need right around the desk at check in (also decently priced too!). Right across from the Henderson Beach State Park, also beside Walmart, nearby to Target and a TON of other restaurants and neat places. We only drove like 5-10 minutes to get to the boardwalk area down the road. I mean this is truly the best hotel to stay at in this area!

This hotel was a gem find. Friendly staff, SUPER clean, and a great location. Great pool with a fire pit, and also a patio with a gas fire pit that was awesome to hangout at. Not to mention the great price! Would def stay here again. The front desk employee was amazing as well as 2 housekeepers and I wish I got their names.

Our stay was very disappointing. I am a Hilton honors member and always choose Hilton. We chose tru in Destin for our family vacation. The room was absolutely fitly. The walls were covered in dirt and disgusting. The floors look like they never been mopped. My kids feet were black form dirty within 5 minutes of being in the room. We stayed 3 nights and our room was only cleaned one time. We couldn't be more disappointed with our stay.

It was not clean. There was splatter of something on the walls the cord from the TV was exposed and draped around one of the beds. The bathroom shower was gross. That red mold was everywhere in there . The bodywash, shampoo and conditioner holder looked as if it hadn't been cleaned EVER. There was an eyelash extention in my bed... not sure if the sheets had been changed...

This hotel exceeded all our expectations. The room we had was perfect for our family of 4. The kids basically had their own separate room with sliding door and bunk beds. The pool was awesome. We love Henderson State Beach state park and this was located right across the street so it was perfect for us.

Loved the room with bunk beds for the kids. The breakfast each morning was delicious with good options. The check in and check out process was quick and efficient. Kids had fun in both indoor and outdoor pools. You cant beat the location across the street from Henderson State Park.

This very much felt like a college dorm. Busy, loud, and kind of cramped. Our room was directly across from the staff service room and what seemed like all day and night, the door was opening and slamming shut. My wife complained to me several times about it. She said that there should be a discount for anyone who has to use that particular room. I will take the blame for not doing more research on your TRU brand. As larger sized people, that extra missing two feet of space was sorely missed. I don't think we'll be return visitors to the TRU brand. Finally, of the three Hilton brand hotels we've stayed in this trip, only one has actively recognized our Hilton honors status upon arrival. I'm not sure if this is because we're relatively new to the program or something else? It would be nice if it was acknowledged @ the onset.

The hotel at Tru Hotel Destin was horrible. Beds were like sleeping on a block of bricks, super hard and horrible. Front desk never cared as first day said they would call after talking to hotel manager, never called. Each day tried to get a solution hotel front seak disnt care, evwn one cleek said they dis not undwratand why I was complaining because thwy have has so many gueat who wantes to know where tehy bought theor mattresses because they wanted one; sorry dont buy it. Noone as much as I was ar front desk said they gor a good nights sleep. Another guy was down asking for pillows to try and get comdoerable from the bed. The nreakfast was same thing wbwey morning sausage, eggs, toast, oatmeal, pancake, waffles. Nevwr a change of meats and no fruit. No coffee makera ir microwave in room.morninf xoffee muat get dresses and go to lobby same for jeating up any foood or making popcorn. The good thing I can say was lobby had actocitoes for kids. Next ro that my neat stay was when I left amd finally got a good night sleep. To pay over $500 for a 4 nihht was veey high price to pay for a back ache especially since I had not had any back problems before sleeping on Tru hotels brick bed.

Everything was great about the property and the room. Having indoor and outdoor games a great plus. Very close to shopping, restaurants and attractions. The absolute only downside is not having a microwave in room, there is one in lobby for us just not very convenient when needed more than once a day.

Everything about my stay was fine except the size of the room. Incredibly small. Felt like I was in Europe. King size bed and about 4 feet on the 3 sides. And no microwave. For 1 night it was fine but if I were staying multiple days for vacation, I’d find another place.

I recently stayed at this property and unfortunately had a frustrating experience during check-in. Two pools were great, the larger king rooms were spacious! However, I have never been treated worse by a front desk staff. The 3PM-11PM crew had a guy named Corey working that was rude and belligerent, he continuously lied and tried to belittle us. I was only able to get a room change “that wasn’t available” when I booked a second room that said it was available on the Hilton App. Then the room we needed was magically available. We will avoid this place in the future due to rude staff.

I liked this hotel and it's location a lot. Especially for the reasonable price I paid. Nice and clean. I slept wonderfully in the bed. Not too hard and not too soft. Great location! Within walking distance to the Henderson Beach State Park which has an awesome beach. Also near Walmart and convenient to a lot of restaurants. I plan on returning.

My new favorite place to stay in Destin! It was so quiet and clean. Parking was free! The continental breakfast was better than typical, and the complimentary coffee actually tasted good. At other hotels, I usually can’t even drink the coffee and end up driving to a coffee shop. Their coffee was very good, which saved me some money! We loved the pool, and everything about this hotel. I can’t believe how affordable it was, considering how nice it is.

We had a great time staying here. The beach was right across the street. We could walk to a couple restaurants, and Walmart was right there for when we need extra supplies. We were only 15-20 minutes away from everything we wanted to do. It was actually really clean. I didn’t have to have much interaction with the staff. The guy working the front desk that said he was from VA Beach was welcoming at check in. The breakfast was the same everyday and pretty bland but it’s fine. The coffee was good. I’d recommend staying here.

We came to Destin for a wedding. Our stay at Tru was absolutely amazing. It was very clean, the staff was outstanding and the breakfast was some of the best included breakfast I’ve had at a hotel. The area around the hotel had everything that we needed and we didn’t have to travel more than 10 mins to get to anything. The area and the hotel made us want to make Destin our go to for vacation.

Love love love this hotel. SO family friendly! Even for ones without kids, it is just designed perfectly for all your needs I feel like. The overall feeling of the hotel is very modern, colorful, great hangout areas, pool tables, shuffle board, egg chairs, and even hangout spots outside, as well as a great pool and a cool little splash pad too for the kids! The rooms are exactly as they look online, which is so clean and modern- giving that super relaxing and comfy feel. They even have a room with a bunk bed for kiddos and we LOVED that!! The front desk workers are all so helpful and sweet. The breakfast.. oh man.. not only is it so cool with the pancake-making machine and yogurt machine, but it’s just SO yummy and has SO many options!! They also have a ton of little things you might want or need right around the desk at check in (also decently priced too!). Right across from the Henderson Beach State Park, also beside Walmart, nearby to Target and a TON of other restaurants and neat places. We only drove like 5-10 minutes to get to the boardwalk area down the road. I mean this is truly the best hotel to stay at in this area!

The shower water pressure was very low had to stay inside the shower for awhile because it was so low but the biggest problem was the toilet had to be flushed like 3 times before it would go down a took the water a long time to fill up in the toilet the breakfast was the same each day it started at 6 and end at 9 and it was a lot of people there staying so breakfast was gone by 8 other then that it was clean and it was close to the beaches and stores wasn’t bad stay but definitely need to update some stuff

I like that the property is near a Walmart and near the beach. Also like the inside pool. What I didn't like is the smoked sausages for breakfast every morning. Would have loved some variety...bacon, pork sausage, etc.

The rooms were clean but I didn’t like having to go to the lobby to use a microwave or get a cup of coffee. I will make sure the next time it has a microwave and coffee maker in the room. I couldn’t get TV reception for the last two days. The beds were hurt uncomfortable also
