We had a great week at the beach and the kids loved the option to chill in the pool or splashing the waves. The house was clean and spacious as described. Overall we were highly satisfied. That said there are a couple of things to be aware of. For one, be sure to read the listing carefully about what the host provides and what they don’t. They say they provide only starter household supplies and they mean it. By the third day I had to go out and buy staples including kitchen trash bags and toilet paper for the bathrooms. I fully understand that they shouldn’t be expected to provide all consumables, but having to provide our own toilet paper seemed questionable especially considering the price. Also we were surprised to find that the beautiful white sand beach was subject to strict private property limitations with only a narrow 60 ft wide strip of public access at the end of the street. Again, we had a great time, just things to be aware of.

We appreciated having a house with a private pool, washer/dryer, and being a short drive from the beach. Those amenities helped make for a nice family vacation.During our stay, we found the home to be more worn than we expected based on the listing photos. The floors, stairs, and upstairs handrail showed noticeable wear. The carpet in the upstairs primary bedroom appeared dirty, and we weren’t comfortable walking on it barefoot. We also experienced several maintenance issues. The Jacuzzi tub wasn’t operational, the shower temperature control in the primary bathroom was difficult to adjust, the ice maker didn’t work, and the downstairs water pressure was low.The home was lightly stocked. We received one roll of paper towels, limited toilet paper, one kitchen dishcloth, and purchased additional supplies. We also had difficulty locating the hair dryers, and the one we found was damaged. We found a family puzzle containing metallic adult-themed confetti mixed in with the pieces, which was unexpected with children in our group.Outside, the yard was overgrown, patio cushions showed wear, one patio chair was coming apart, and the decorative floating solar pool lights were not working.Overall, we enjoyed spending time together as a family, but the home’s condition and maintenance did not meet our expectations for the price we paid. We hope these items are addressed for future guests.

The home would be so beautiful if it would be clean. Every corner was dirty! The bar room smelled SO bad we couldn’t even use it! The first day we got there the pool was nasty! Everything is out of date! Needs LOTS of updates!

Great location - one block from the beach. Really enjoyed having the pool to relax in. Exterior of the property could use some attention.
