The Saratoga Hilton

This property is a bit run down for the price. Concerningly, the pool room was not locked, and a young boy wandered in on his own. This is extremely dangerous. I warned the staff and they did make sure the pool room was locked after this incident.

Location was great. Late night food wasn’t bad. Staff friendly. As for the room….liked that it had microwave and fridge and updated shower. But. The shower drain was slow and the water pooled almost overflowing. There wasn’t really anywhere to hang towels. We had a missing wall mirror across from closet. The carpeting could’ve been cleaned better- there were white crusty globs in a couple spots and red stain in another area. The pool was quite cold for an indoor pool.

Very nice, clean, comfortable hotel. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The pool area and fitness center were great. No complaints.

10:00 am cut off for breakfast was a bit of an inconvenience. Our room was very noisy - the road outside and people talking loudly in the hallway in the very early morning - people coming from a concert - we're ok with this. Not happy with housekeeping staff talking loudly in the morning. Our biggest gripe is that we were charged $12 for parking in a lot that was less than half full. I think this is not bad business - it's terrible business.

The parking was inconvenient and no automatic doors which was a annoying when you are carrying in your luggage.

On 8/23 we had breakfast on the property. The Bistro was not busy. Two waitresses. Ours, wanted to complain about the other. Coffee refills delayed because of slow response and the excuse "we used all the coffee for takeout orders and are making more." Our room was near the supply closet. I understand a bit of noise by cleaning staff. But - they yelled up and down the hallway at 8am, and throughout the day. I was on a conference call on Sunday at 330pm and nearly had to ask them to quiet down. The property seems in need of upgrades. The doors from the parking lot are heavy and hard to open. The elevators are slow and some numbers were not lit. I last stayed in this hotel over 25 years ago. It seems like nothing has changed. This is the poorest quality Hilton property I have stayed at in recent years.

BE ADVISED ~ Parking Lot a disaster. Read #2 I had two issues: Due to travel delay, I needed to check in after 11pm. So, I wanted to advise the hotel of my late check-in. 1st~ However, a direct hotel number is not listed, even on their website or anywhere to be found. I called the number on tte website which gave 2 options 1- make a new reservation 2- cancel or revise a reservation. Choose 2 3X's to be told this number doesn't accept calls at this time. Finally, I choose 1 & was told by a kind woman that she couldn't make a note on my Reservation as I booked thru 3rd party. After conversation she agreed to call the hotel & try to have them make the note. This worked, but wasted an 1hr of my time.. very poor process. 2nd~ I arrive & check-in after 11 & when the desk instructs me where to park in the back of the hotel, I'm told the hotel door to the parking lot locks at 11pm so I have to walk around to the hotel front entrance. I'm fine with it hoever IT TURNS OUT THE WALK FROM THE PARKING TO THE FRONT OF THE HOTEL IS ALMOST 1/4 MILE... HALF UPHILL. No Joke! After I hike back to the desk I'm told this is done for my safety. Absurd, If your parking lot is so dangerous, get a Security Guard or Key Card locks like every other hotel. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

Everything was great. The only concern was that I was told there were only 15 occupied rooms for the night. The room we were given was almost the farthest away possible from elevators and about .25/mile from the parking lot. Largely inconve nient.

Pool was cold no conditioner or lotion

I did not like the hotel layout it was very awkward to get to the parking lot and the entrance and and Lobby location was difficult tofigure out. The elevator was broken to the section we were our room was and I was with my elderly father we had to walk 1/2 a football field from the parking lot entrance to get to the main lobby to many stairs to get tothe front desk it seemed like it wastime for an update to the carpet and the rooms

This hotel is in a great area, walking distance to a lot attactions and restaurants. However, the rooms and public areas are filthy. We checked into one room to find the carpet stained and then the toilet and sink visibly dirty. The manager at the front desk was helpful and thankfully sounded surprised. So she found us another room on the same floor. This one was also visibly dirty. The toilet and sink were dirty. The carpte was stained. There was a hole in the wall as you entered and a dirty bandaid on the floor in the bathroom. As we walked around in the lobby area, we saw that the ceiling was in disrepair and the carpets were also filthy. We had to stay the night because we had an event that night in the area. Otherwise we would have checked out immediately. The hotel/expedia only refunded us for the night that we didn't stay which given the condition of the property is unacceptable.

We stayed in two rooms over one weekend. The first was on the ground floor by the exit. The room was nice but it was constantly noisy in the hallway. The second room was on the third floor. I think we had a nice street view but not sure because the windows were EXTREMELY dirty. Also, there was mold growing in the corner of the tub. Wasn't what I was expecting from a Hilton hotel.

The hotel was absolutely phenomenal. The staff was friendly and facility itself was very clean. I would stay here again!

The other reviewers have commented that this property is not up to par with typical Hilton properties, totally agree. Not super clean, very dated, and worn.

We stay in Saratoga every year for the Dave Matthews Band two night concert. We’ve stayed in a variety of hotels in the area with no issues. This was our first time staying at this hotel and I am so incredibly disappointed. This is also my first negative review of a hotel ever. First, guests cannot control the overall temperature of their room. I called several times and then went to the desk asking if we could have cooler temps as we were sweating and it was extremely uncomfortable sleeping temps. I was told the first night that I would have to be a vip guest and she didn’t have the ability to lower the temp. The next day, I was told it was turned down but it wasn’t. It was awful not being able to control the room temp. When we woke up Saturday morning, I noticed the bedding had what looked like random blood ish looking spots in various places that we hadn’t noticed. We asked for new bedding. That evening my husband started complaining about his neck burning and it appeared he was having a reaction to something. We are now both covered in bed bug bites. I did contact the hotel and they said they would call me back and I’ve heard nothing. I am so devastated and upset that we paid $1300 dollars for two nights to potentially have brought bedbugs home to our children. Minor issues, the microwave and fridge didn’t work. The hotel didn’t have an area to get coffee. The staff was decent, that was the only positive. But please avoid this hotel!!!!!!!!!

This hotel needs some renovations: the carpet and furniture are old and dirty. The halls are dark!

Old and dated property that is way overpriced. Have stayed here many times but this will be the last. Had 2 rooms, one had dirt all over the blanket and the other one you could write your name in the dust. One room very noisy and you could hear every door slamming. Other room next to people who had a fight, no security seen. Dreadful.

Hilton needs to put a little love into this tired-looking property. The walls are extremely thin- could hear everyone in the halls from our room as well as actual conversations from neighboring rooms. It’s a good location and easy walk to Saratoga Springs. Our room as fine, if you don’t mind having to keep the privacy curtain closed at all times as it was on the ground floor looking right at the parking lot and anyone could look right into the room. For such a nice town, you would think Hilton would want to invest a little money into shaping up this hotel a bit.

Disappointed with our stay. The place felt a bit run down, the AC didn’t work well, and it was hard to relax. The restaurant was understaffed and slow, and the WiFi needs serious improvement. The only positive was the friendly cleaning staff. If you’re looking for a better experience, stay at the Embassy.

Room was great! Clean, lots of space, very comfortable bed. Choosing a mini suite was perfect.

North side of broadway seems dirty. A lot of trash on sidewalks and around hotel. Hotel doors slam shut so loud it’s tough to sleep. Walls are paper thin room next to me was really loud on night 2 I had to get moved.

The hotel grounds & staff were nice. Double Beds are small for 2 kids to even sleep together.

It was great except air conditioning would not go lower than 64. Did not sleep well..

The gentleman at the front door on both arrival and exit was very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was very kind as well. Much better experience than before. I really enjoyed my stay.

Front desk manager, Susan was the most disgusting individual I’ve ever met and she needs a retraining and proper adequacy and how to treat customers that get luxury rooms. Absolutely disgusting will never come back again.

My business partner and I checked in early evening. I had called prior to see if the parking lot could accommodate a truck and 35 foot gooseneck trailer. Meredith not only went above and beyond with my phone call but also when we arrived making sure our parking accommodations were met and met safely following up with texts and assisting with parking fee. Cutomer service was top notch. Would highly recommend.

To start, the staff was excellent (except for one person I'll explain in a minute)--very friendly and attentive. We had breakfast at the Bistro (great staff but overpriced mediocre food agreed upon by my entire party--we would have been better off going to a local diner). Then we got to our room, opened the door to encounter a musty smelling room with VERY little extras--no water bottles or tea or types of sweeteners for our tiny coffee cups. The view of the air conditioner units didn't help either. Yes, these are minor complaints, but for $368 a night, I expected more. The most annoying part was in the morning, I went to the lobby for a real coffee which cost $3 (again, I've been to much-less expensive hotels, and there was always free coffee in the morning). I finished it there, and before I went back to my room, I went to refill my paper cup, and the woman at the check in desk asked me what my room number was (with the intent to charge me), and I said, 'Oh, I'm just refilling the coffee cup I already bought.' And she coldly responded, 'It's still $3 a cup.' SERIOUSLY?!?!?!? I handed her cash without a word or smile, but I should have just left the cup on the counter. This hotel was NOT worth the price I paid, and I would not recommend it.

Staff was very helpful and friendly and great with directions around town.

Our room was not ready upon arrival. The girl at the desk was unconcerned or attentive. She said she would text when the room was ready so after waiting an hour and no text went back to the front desk and a different person said oh yes it’s ready now. For the money you pay - they should not be late having rooms cleaned and ready. At least apologize for the delay an hour past checkin and the room is not ready.

there was an african american woman with glasses & a shaved hair style. she was so rude to me. she snatched my ID out of my hands & rolled her eyes when i asked her where my room was since all she did was hand me the key

The Hilton Saratoga has a great location for exploring Saratoga. The rooms were decent, but the overall hotel vibe was “tired”. We had breakfast one morning in the restaurant. It was okay, but much better choices on the Broadway, outside the hotel.

Room and accommodations were comfortable but the restaurant wasn’t open for lunch. Since I stayed in February it was too cold to go out. I had to use DoorDash.

The bar needs to be open more and actually have a bartender that only has to work the bar not fix the cooler door or overflow tubes. The restaurant also needs an overhaul.

The hotel, front desk, room were all great. The restaurant there, 534 bistro, was a joke. Obviously they don't put much effort there.

The property was a bit run down for the price. Also had a terrible experience in the hotel restaurant- rude staff.

Helpful and friendly staff. Beds comfortable. Trolley available to casino and track . About half hour walk to track . Nice location on Broadway for restaurants and shopping. Only negative is the restaurant on site is extremely slow . Kitchen understaffed. 80minute wait for food .

Everything about this stay was wonderful. Friendly staff, clean, quiet & comfortable room with convenient parking and great location. The restaurant is also excellent. We enjoyed an amazing dinner and then enjoyed drinks next to the fireplace after. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and fun.

The service in the Bistro restaurant was slow. Restaurant wasn’t busy for breakfast and an evening appetizer to take so long.
