Hotel is in the absolute perfect place to just walk out and explore the city, it’s about a 10 minute walk to the minster. Unfortunately the hotel is (or at least our room was) in a quite poor condition - there were multiple big cracks in the paint and plaster, large areas where the plaster was coming away from the wall and also mould in the bathroom. Also unfortunately there were questionable stains on the carpet. Further to this the room had an air conditioning unit, but the hotel had removed the fuse (must have been for a safety reason) but, during the UK heatwave this was pretty disappointing. The room did come with 2 pedestal fans - one of which was quite broken with the electronics visible through a smashed part of the plastic housing. With all that being said, the room was nice, large and comfortable - it just needs a little work

Great location, nice hotel. Breakfast was pretty good. Car parking was limited, only downside was the workman taking scaffold down by the window at 8am. Would have been nice to be warned that this was happening. Overall, nice hotel. Would use again.
