Stayed 3 nights

Not much in the way of room cleaning during our 3 night stay. Music downstairs in the main bar was extremely loud; luckily we found the subtitles for the TV! Staff friendly.

Very helpful staff. Bathroom rather small. Mattress bit soft, breakfast good. Parking a bonus for York.

Stayed 2 nights

The room we stayed in was a double in the courtyard. It suited me and my husband as only for 2 nights, bed was comfy and seemed bigger than a double that was advertised. Bathroom is small, shower was excellent, and you don't need to bring soap, shower gel or shamphoo as small bottles are provided. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, which is always nice. Staff are lovely and helpful, breakfast is good. Well worth a visit x

Stayed 2 nights

The bathroom was damp, mouldy and smelly. The WC was broken and was constantly running, which meant that the in line macerator grinder noisily ran every 20 seconds (I timed it) keeping me awake all night. The double glazing was held open by a lump of wood, meaning I could not shut out the traffic noise. This was a very disappointing stay
